Brilliant to see Gary Neville on the Jamie carragher podcast!
😂
Haha nice one😂
I see you did what there.

The quote from Carra that to watch Man Utd play well you have to watch UK Gold was amazing 😂
It was on the money.
he's been saving that one haha
Ppl from the uk get that one 😅
Yeah amazing haha
Same about liverpool winning the league 😉
Carra and Jamie have such respect for each other and you can see it here. Amazing stuff.
Endo is quietly turning out to be an amazing player. Not necessarily a midfield destroyer but more like a midfield controller. He reminds me of someone like Lucas Leiva. So many times he cleaned things up in midfield and created nice calm possession for liverpool, he made it look easy.
Spot on
Yep, he’s not a player on the level of Declan Rice but he can sure do a job for Liverpool in the coming months
hes the best midfielder we signed. Szoboslai gave the ball away countless times today. Gravenberch was non existant today.
What you smoking lad 😂 @@user-bm9fn3gj4y
@@markkadams44So why has Liverpool conceded same amount of goals as Arsenal then? What has rice even improved for Arsenal?
Martinelli and saka do have work to do, if martinelli can work on his decision making in the final third and saka develops his right foot it makes our team more unpredictable and prolific
I'm a Liverpool fan and i love these two guys regardless of the rivalry between Liverpool and Man ure. Carra and Gary are excellent pundits and honest in their opinion from a football prospective.
J Carragher and G Neville “together” are without question the best in the business by a country mile.x
When Jamie says "if you want to see Man Utd being exciting now you gotta go to UK GOLD!"

And before the Klopp era you had to go get beta max tapes to watch Liverpool play exciting football.

That peter drury laugh on 15:42😂😂
First time I’ve watched you guys… very good insights and history… and chemistry between the both of you. Awesome.
are you serious? how is it your first time seeing the most prevalent pundits in football you must be new or a yank 😂😂😂😂🤣
Best football podcast. Great to see Carragher on it- more of that please.
The point about the front 3s is really good cos myself, and many Liverpool fans will agree with me that our front 3 have underperformed this year mainly cos they rarely link up well together. I want us to perfect it and get a 3 thats set in stone (mainly cos it was beautiful what we had before). I personally want Jota through the middle when he's back cos hes our best finisher at the club and his link up play is good enough to be that middle man. I want to see Nunez on the left and Salah on the right just to see how that works. But i really dont mind a Salah Gakpo Nunez front 3 either cos them 3 linked up amazingly few times last season
0pp0aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaàaaaaaaaaaaa
Jota isn't a middle player mate, hasn't got the craft to do it week in week out, fast but too small! He's a wide player who cuts in and gets space using his pace. He's not a centre forward. But would be good as a CAM that's what I saw when he was at wolves mate.
Diaz needs to be dropped, and Nunez starts on the left.
@@jackmullin8962He scored 15 goals in the Prem in the 21/22 season playing down the middle between Salah and Mane ?
One issue is I think with how well Salah, Mane and Firmino gelled together, everyone is too expectant on the new front line to do the exact same thing straight away
These two are quality together easily the best pundits by far. Shows the players that weren't the very best learn more about the game
The chuckle brothers with matching jackets 😂
I think people need to respect the fact Liverpool are very much in transition, also got a lot of injuries building up at the toughest part of the season, playing every 3 days.
For Liverpool to be 1 point off top at Christmas is a pleasant surprise to me
Other teams are also in transition. Arsenal is in transition too. If Liverpool are in transition, they shouldn’t bother abt winning the title then.
Just accept both teams did well. You can not win every time.
They’re no where near the same stage of a transition if that’s what you want to say they’re in compared to arsenal and united they’ve had klopp for years he’s brought in players he wants and has spent a lot on them same goes for arsenal and united but arsenal a and united have come out of extremely long periods of time where the managers were heavily involved in the club from head to toe so it’s hard for both of them to make their own identity after the previous managers being such a huge part of the clubs,Liverpool’s ‘transition’ is nothing compared to others like look they’ve been contending for the title for a good few years and won the champions league got to another final of the same competition and also won the league that’s not a transition period pal
@@ciarancarey4394 Liverpool were literally fighting for a quadruple 2 seasons. Both teams have rebuilt their midfields this seasons, but arsenal is the one with mostly under 25 yr olds without experience winning top trophies.
Good lad, get the excuses in early
@@chidiuko2763Yeah transitioning from Xhaka & Partey to Rice & Havertz is the same as replacing your complete midfield and 2/3 of your attack in the space of a year….
For some reason Diaz since coming back from injury past season has lost that x factor and acceleration. For me we need more from him, I hope he is able to get that back, that spark he had.
To be fair he's had a lot on his mind.
He couldn’t attack more today. He helped your full back cus I think it was the instruction from the manager. Same like Mane was going.
@@user-hp6ls8qy6d before the kidnapping. He doesn't seem to have that same acceleration he had when he first came and it could be the result of his injuries. I hope he gets it back cos he was lethal.
I worry for how long Salah will be gone for in africa.
He is playing within himself, he is afraid to take players on the outside, keeps coming back inside an it slows the game down
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Enzo Fernandes has more years on his contract than goals and assists for Chelsea.
Don’t let that distract you from the fact Rashford has half as many car crashes as he has goals in the prem this season
Don’t let it distract you but Enzo has more goals than Liverpool have premier league trophies.
West ham bought 3 good players for that money and they are making a big impact to team😊

As Arsenal fan I'm so happy to the draw! Respect for Liverpool!
That's exactly the kind of mindset that doesn't win

Fascinating discussion about the super league. Agree completely, it's just a desperate struggle from Barca and Real to stranglehold power because their own is waining
That is what tgeyvsaid about Ghengis Khan too.😢
Also explains why the Italians are persisting too.
The French and Germans never had the top league in Europe. Both the Spanish and the Italians once upon a time did.
They’re thinking of past glories.
The UEFA Champions League from next season is a version of the Super League, so Real and Barca got their wish in the end
Of course. Manchester United etc spend more than their league. They wont just stand by and watch it happen.
It is not exactly like that. It is about keeping the power, it is right. But the problem is to do it staying as members owned club. They can't compete
As an Arsenal fan, Martinelli needs to start getting amongst the goals more
As a Manchester United fan I would love to swap Martinelli for Antony! LOL
What about Saka ?
True, I also think his crossing needs work. He could be an assist machine if he works on that.

The absolute nonsense being spouted about Arsenal needing to win at Anfield when a draw is a good result. It's like we're all forgetting the best City teams under Pep for the last 7 years have only done it once themselves in that time, during COVID when there was NO FANS...💩
You make a good point but the reason why as an Arsenal fan I think it would be important is that it’s the kind of result that will give them belief to win as many games as possible even when the going gets tough. It would give them a different cache. It’s different with Man City because you know that even if they don’t win at Anfield they are more than capable of an 11-17 game winning streak which will propel them to the title in any season. With Arsenal we’re still not at that level to win a huge number of games in a row but I just wonder if a win at Anfield would give us the confidence to go on and do that

Liverpool overwater their pitch. I noticed that last season. Players slipping and sliding in every game
read something about how Liverpool intentionally overwatered the pitch to use the long ball.
same as no one talking about the blatant penalty not given to Liverpool. 3rd match in a row with Arsenal. I guess they spend a lot of money not only on the team... Still, they won't win anything
Liverpool have more to improve on which makes it interesting. Mac Allister, Robertson, Thiago, Jota all to return soon!
Thiago?

After arriving in Auckland I woke to Christmas Day and confirmation and in fact Gary Neville has once again, managed to be back on the Gary Neville Podcast. Unbelievable scenes
Interesting insight from Gary Neville. It’s hard to get the movement & interchange though from the front 3. The only real great top 3s are the Barcelona teams and Madrid’s & Liverpools Mane, Firmino & Salah in terms of the movement where it’s so hard to keep track of them when they move the ball at rapid speed & precision
Never thought real ever had a legit “front 3” on THAT level, ronaldo was always clearly way better than say benzema bale isco etc
No trio can beat the combination of MSN, they are so good together.
Who msn
MSN = Messi, Suarez, and Neymar, even an American knows this. Lol
Martinelli is the weak link. Can you imagine someone like Pedro Neto in this front 3 on the left
Endo was man of the match in my opinion. Didn’t put a foot wrong for 90+ mins. Made it look easy against a top class Arsenal midfield & attack,
You wish. Go check the stats of the other midfielders of the game.
Wasn't even a top 2 player for Liverpool yesterday, konate and van djik played better
Was lucky to play 90 minutes. How many fouls got unpunished.. He was poor
You're smoking the endo if you think that.
Endo passes sideways or backwards
correction with Jamie: Firmino did score at Anfield the year we won the league, broke the duck in a 5-3 win at home to Chelsea.
If I'm not mistaken, it was in the last home game of the season wasn't it?
To be fair, we’d already won the league by that point by a few weeks. So in a sense he’s correct, we won the title without him scoring a goal at Anfield. Crazy stat.
@@RossG99 True, fair point. It didn't bother me much that season because Bobby scored some big away goals that season (Wolves, Palace, Leicester).

Fantastic points made by both of these two.
Neville called it perfectly. They beat Villa and lost to Forest.
Liverpool should have had a penalty on the handball from Odegaard. Also had two in the woodwork. Arsenal should be very happy with that point.

He slipped and his hand was in a natural position making it not a hand ball
@garyoneill9863 you're obviously to cretinous to be able to understand the rules 🙄
Pen all day long
Even Saliba agreed it was a penalty
Liverpool's front 3 is Salah, Nunez/Gakpo and Diaz/Jota. It looks bad because Jota is out, Diaz hasn't fully recovered from injury, and Nunez isn't putting the ball into the back of the net.
They spent longer taking about a middle of the road team than the top four.
Because that's the team that made the premier League the biggest in the world and the reason they are all rich and it's the only team most people care about
Funny how Gary was spot on here ‘they could win against Villa on Boxing Day & lose to Forrest 4 days later, that’s how daft it is’…

Premier league back at its finest, I'M Manchester united fan, honestly after that game I believe now is a three_horse race for the title!! Liverpool, Arsenal and Man city
Arsenal players slipped too many times. Lpool kinda over watered the pitch, and the ball sometimes got caught.
And no pundit has brought this up
I noticed that especially with a pass back to Raya the ball nearly stopped dead
I noticed the pitch was slippery as well. Although I would argue that liverpool players were slipping as much as the opposition
@StoicS4m0r41 Yeah, but they rarely did.

Not a fan of both teams (Liverpool vs arsenal)! But boy what a cracking game!! Well played 👍🏾👍🏾
Injury ravaged Tottenham still under radar. Love it
When theyvwere 2 up I thought so too. But they got battered for more than half game. Everton got robbed. That wasn't title winning. Top 4 on as Man U and Chelsea gaff. Lets see if Aston Villa can keep going. Think first 3 already nailed on close as it is. 4th is up for grabs
City are definitely still in the title race, they’ve got a game in hand
But it's nice to think they're not. 😢
They’re basically 2 points behind Liverpool and 3 behind Arsenal. They will still win the league easily in my opinion.
The difference this season is teams like Tottenham villa Liverpool arsenal all can take points of them unlike last season where they were in another level
This was the perfect weekend for us. Looked at both teams drop points, neither looked great. Villa dropped points too and we get KDB Haaland and Doku back very soon with a game in hand.
I’m very confident
Not only are they still in the race, they're still favourites imo. They'll have KDB back soon which is scary to think about.
