I'll miss Marchment's tenacity - saw him play many times with the Marlies. I hope he has more opportunities with his new team. As far as the Leafs go...? Well, I've been watching them since I was like 12 years old in the 70s on a tiny b&w TV (the family didn't share my enthusiasm). I've seen the lows and the highs, and still have hope. Good luck with the book tour, Steve!

The guys have to take a long look at each other in the room. They have to understand that they’re still in a playoff spot and have a chance to make it but ultimately it’s up to them. I had to turn the game off last night because I watched a team that had no pride or passion in their game, much less each other. I don’t feel a trade will magically fix things either. Yes it certainly can help but it’s up the guys in the room. Either you want to be here and want to be a maple leaf or you don’t. If you don’t want to be here then ask to be traded and go somewhere else. It’s as simple as that. This team on paper is too good to miss the playoffs but here we are. Act like you give a damn. Or don’t and miss the playoffs and spend another summer wondering what could’ve been.
I am here as a lifelong Panthers fan after Marchment just scored SIX points in a single game for us. I think it is safe to say we won this trade. lmao go cats
This team needs to get a heart transplant. Doug Gilmour had a lot more heart than anyone on this team. People like that get mad when they lose because they absolutely hate it. We also need a goalie like we had with Ed Belfour if we're ever going to see this team win it all. Right now Andersen is average at best, ... and that's me being kind.
I love Hatguy!!! How's the boogercake??? I love you Mr Dangle, and I'm not picking on you, I'm a Sabres fan for Pete's sake, I can't pick on you!!! Anyway, see you at the draft lottery😂🤣😂🤣😭🤗
Do you think trading for Malgin was Dubas trying to replace Johnsson, or do you think it might be an indication he is close to finalizing a deal that sees Kerfoot or Kapanen packaged up with Ceci for trading for a RHD? Isn’t that along the lines of what was being asked for Dumba?
Malkin was one of 6 starters out. Other notables are jake guentzel 40 goal scorer, brian dumolin top pair dman, marion 2nd pair dman, bujstad and reese 4th liners.
Ok Steve, lets get to the bases of all of your leafs troubles. I am very familiar with them as I went through them 53 years ago. And then came BOBBY. You should consider becoming a B's fan because then you would no longer be a leafs fan. See how simple that was. No more life altering, endlessly disappointing, self deprecating, soul killing problem. And to put a cherry on top, you could openly appreciate and adore Brad Marchand.
I've heard that it is a structural problem. Now I hear you say it is lack of will/motivation/pride. I think maybe both. I was expecting to see the Leafs pick it up before it got this bad. I'm sad to see that hasn't happened.
You trade for Josh Manson/Matthias Ekholm/Jonas Brodin and plan for next year. If we are going the blackhawks model which is what we seem to be doing with Marner and Matthews being Kane and Toews, we need a shutdown pair like they had with Hjalmarsson and Oduya. I think Muzzin and one of the 3 listed could do the same. Then you have Rielly and Holl being a discount Keith and Seabrook and we basically have what we need. The problem is Dubas only wants offensive defensemen. No all defensemen need to be offensively gifted.
It’s official. This franchise is falling apart more than it already has. #FireDubas was trending on Twitter. People are for some reason blaming John Tavares because he’s a “bad captain.” And on top of that, I saw someone saying the Leafs should trade MITCH MARNER because he can’t shoot and is an average player at best. I’m not only done with this team. I’m done with this fan base. At this point I’m just looking toward next season.
I still can't believe people in this fan base are ripping on JT. Idiotic fan base. I literally left your exact comment on the leafs post game video however I used a little bit more cus words. "I'm not only done with this team but I'm done with this fan base" were the words I used or at least something close to that

@@JackFrost-by7ed No one is talking about it, everyone is pointing fingers and running through season stats and blah blah blah blah blah, If this team killed one of the three penalties they have a chance in the game, we didnt so lets move on is my point
@@rhsculls96 I mean maybe, but if the Leafs had killed one or two of the penalties the Pens may have been pushing harder for more goals too. They started playing very loose after the 5-0 result and honestly looked like they didn't really want to embarrass the Leafs any further
So what did Zamboni Driver Steve take it to? 15?
Tank for Zion
Who are the assistants in charge of defense and special teams?
Already has 28 likes, people ready know this will be a good one before they've even seen it!
Welcoming all disappointed Leafs fans to the Raptors side!
We love you and you deserve better!
This team is still young. I feel like they lack a hardened veteran leader that will hold players accountable.
Keeping my fingers crossed for all Leaf fans out there I hope they somehow turn it around!
If not feel free to show some love to The Raptors! New fans are always welcome!

By 1 am tonight Florida beats Anaheim Ducks Leafs will be out of a playoff spot.
Long story short, they all got their money in the offseason. Not that motivated anymore.
have fun in florida Mason!
This fan base doesn’t deserve the leafs
You forgot about Brian Doumolin
Jason strudwick I love it 😂😂
Well said
I am here as a lifelong Panthers fan after Marchment just scored SIX points in a single game for us. I think it is safe to say we won this trade. lmao go cats
i hope the team sees this
I watched replay of the 5 Pittsburgh goals to the tune of yakkity saks.
53 years of loosesrs and wake me up after the next rebuild ?
I've been waiting 😀. Go pens! Sorry Steve still luv ya!
TheMicado16 same 🤣
😡
Do you think trading for Malgin was Dubas trying to replace Johnsson, or do you think it might be an indication he is close to finalizing a deal that sees Kerfoot or Kapanen packaged up with Ceci for trading for a RHD? Isn’t that along the lines of what was being asked for Dumba?
Been waiting for this one.
well said steve
Fire Sheldon Keefe, hire Gerald Gallant. Fight me!!
Malgin?
How do you go from from a good series against the Caps and 2 game 7 against Boston to this?
Malkin was one of 6 starters out. Other notables are jake guentzel 40 goal scorer, brian dumolin top pair dman, marion 2nd pair dman, bujstad and reese 4th liners.
Ahh, sorry Steve...but I smile the whole video basically, so you bring joy, be happy with that.
Great Wayne's World reference!!
I’m still in.... are you in?
Steve could you please explain how the trade today was great ?
Ok Steve, lets get to the bases of all of your leafs troubles. I am very familiar with them as I went through them 53 years ago. And then came BOBBY. You should consider becoming a B's fan because then you would no longer be a leafs fan. See how simple that was. No more life altering, endlessly disappointing, self deprecating, soul killing problem. And to put a cherry on top, you could openly appreciate and adore Brad Marchand.
Soooo....no taksies backsies on Kadri for Barrie :D
“Put that back there for now” 😂
I've heard that it is a structural problem.
People are for some reason blaming John Tavares because he’s a “bad captain.”
And on top of that, I saw someone saying the Leafs should trade MITCH MARNER because he can’t shoot and is an average player at best.
I’m not only done with this team. I’m done with this fan base. At this point I’m just looking toward next season.
Reactionary 50 year olds have been whining about marner ever since they realised they couldn't whine about nylander anymore
I still can't believe people in this fan base are ripping on JT. Idiotic fan base. I literally left your exact comment on the leafs post game video however I used a little bit more cus words. "I'm not only done with this team but I'm done with this fan base" were the words I used or at least something close to that
@Sulman SJ
If I could go back in time Terminator style, I would murder the people who created Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and every other social media platform. The world was a better place before they came into existence.
you think jt is having a good season? you think dubas is proven as good? or are you a fucking homer with the actual team emblem as your fucking youtube (and probably fb) pic? ONLY TIME WILL TELL
The whole team is a toxic soup. The media and the fan base. Mixed together is a loser sludge.
Losers lose easy. Leafs
Got the blue and white flu
Everybody needs to take a CHILL PILL. Every single Team goes through what the Leafs are going through at the moment.
MOVING FORWARD, the LEAFS are taking this seriously. And they are working on how to reverse this down trend, starting with the next game.
Let's see what happens.
