my team all cried after finishing Daytona 24 last night, we started in P13, got sent to the back after an early spin and some issues with our starters wheel. We fought for 19 hours to get to P4, Then spent the remaining 5 keeping it consistent and clean. The racing is definitely real. Such a good feeling to have the hard work pay off.
@@TMCRacing Us too, our first race together was fun. Started pretty much last in GT3, had bad luck getting punted a few times by some impatient LMP2s netting us 1.5 hours of total repairs. Definitely know how that feels. Lost my dad in June last year, didn’t win an iRace since I lost him but in August, just days after what would’ve been Dad’s birthday, I had an incredible 30 lap battle with somebody to win NiS at Michigan. Very emotional, tears were flowing. Hell yeah brotha!!

Shit.. can't say the emotion isn't real. I did the same thing but in a real car. You try and try and work and work and dream and throw money at it and finally you win one. I cried like a baby on the return road. I sat in the car for 5 minutes after I parked it just trying to soak it in. And then dad crawled in the car with me when he got back to the hauler and he was all emotional and I started the water works again. It's a wonderful feeling. Pride. Satisfaction. Relief. Joy. Excitement. Nothing like it. Congrats jimbo
@@RizeF1X it's all of it. I can imagine that had a big part to do with it. But it's definitely an emotional thing. Everything you put into it and it finally pays off. It's awesome
People who say there isn't passion in sim racing are fools. There is no greater feeling winning your first standard race against a competitive field let alone what it would feel like to win a major.
Had the absolute best car all race, blazing pace the entire time. The pace car incident was BS, but man... what a race. Made up for the pit snafu the previous year. (Maybe two years ago?) Mixed with the emotion at the end... one of my top all-time races. Real or virtual.
M8 seeing him cry makes me question what the feeling of winning a REAL F1 championship or the INDY 500 feels,, I mean the same, he earned that win,, but yeah

I witnessed this live and may (or may not) have experienced some very localised rain at this moment
So weird how the weather is effected like that
Really weird, I had some localised rain too. What a coincidence!
It is quite a moment when that happens because it does put you at a real risk of crashing or breaking down
same
I did as well, and what a coincidence; there is a little precipitation right now, too.
"It's just a game" Yeah, tell that to Jimmy. I couldn't tell the difference between him and any of the IRL Indy 500 winners, same emotion.

Absolutely. I just started iRacing today and literally cheered when I won my first race in the MX5s.

The single greatest moment of motor racing in 2020. We were all crying at the end.

By far my favorite Jimmy moment, all the emotion from that day still gives some goosebumps.
It's so great to have all these moments easy to watch, it might be worth uploading some of them vertical so they get put into UA-cam stories
