Even if you didn't have Shenlou then I would go with Scorpion. As mentioned in the video I find the Scorpion actually far more lethal to the Condor. When I was recording for this video it definitely took me longer than the Scorpion one which tells me the Scorpion is actually deadlier. You can also build Scorpion in Workshop. It also reinforces what I've said in the past - just because it's new doesn't necessarily mean it's the best. Even if we removed the nerfs to Shenlou the Scorpion would still handle the Condor better.
@@adrianchong Makes sense... I've had my Scorp since Halloween of 2020 from sheer luck in that old 1/3 draw........ But it has defense points unlike Shenlou! Including stealth with the pilot (which is so cheap as well, its just sitting in the Silver black market chest)
Also the game is more likely to shut down if the community doesn't spend - this is what I believe happened to the old Walking War Robots before Mail.Ru bought them over. Battle of Titans which was suppose to be it's competitor didn't last very long... that game was pretty much free, had very good graphics and according to many of the players it was balanced better. It just goes to show that you can have a free game, good graphics, perfect balance and match making and it can fail very fast if it doesn't have funding.

The reason why Scorpion does better than Shenlou vs Condors specifically is because it can blink back - this means you can blink back not only away from the Condor but behind cover. The Shenlou can technically do that too but it will have to attack Condor, turn and quickly find another enemy player and teleport. This is what happened to me in the game on Dreadnought but I wasn't able to find a player quickly and took on more damage than I should have. If I was a Scorpion I would have been long gone.
Excellent job Adrian! I vaguely remember the game. You made my life difficult, killing my raptors, condors and Mauler. My only consolation, you were at the top of your team. Your pilot name stands out: the idea that I may have dealt with you did come to my mind.
I miss when this game was actually about robots without powers. Seriously? teleportation, invisibility, and all these wacky effects. But the graphics actually look better than I remember it

Scorpion is the only teleporting bot that has the ability to teleport back into cover. Whiteout is equally as important to disable it from using its ability. Scorpion is definitely the best bot for the job.

I dusted off my old mk3 scorpion and busy upgrading sonics to from level 9 to mk2. But waiting for the 40%discount on Saturdays which is 30% past 2 weekends. And try to get gold each week so i can upgrade faster by skipping with gold. I didnt know i could buy the white out drone for 100 chips
A bagliore with jotunns and gives up its ability for damage boost and paralysis and last stand has decent change to kill a condor on flight . BUT wouldn’t a Zeus bagliore be even better? Fire one Zeus to drop shield and fire next 3 to kill? All Zeus hit the same spot.
You won't really notice it much. What makes it fragile in it's attacks is that it really needs to keep teleporting because it can't blink back like Scorpion. Both have their advantages and disadvantages though.
Before the nerf you could react faster and blink 3 times. The blink interval was increased so you take more damage. Basically pix ruined the advantage.
One extremely good counter is fafnir, if you time the ability right you can counter the whole ability time of the condor (unless he's shield breaking) and you only need a few shots to go into the absorber since the weapons (as well as the build in weapon) are extremely overpowered 😅. You could count leech as another extremely good counter

Yes Adrian there is but this mothership damage is alot plus you can put on the durability extender I got the mothership using 5 of my upgrade token’s since I’m a FTP player
Did someone use Splinter/Brisant/Shatter weapons? Opinions? I see these weapons like 1 time in 1 month, so i suppose they're bad/weak? Or maybe they're good with some specific bot/drone?
This one doesn't kill as much as the Scorpion setup does. Also your reference to it being fully maxed out. In many games especially with the Scorpion I was actually killing maxed out Condors. As a "free player", I rather know what can counter vs not counter. It's like telling me you would rather use a maxed out Fenrir or Curie than use an MK2 Scorpion. If you know Scorpion is a counter then it's better to use that Scorpion than the Fenrir even if your Fenrir is MK3.

It's not very common, but another great Condor counter it the UE Phantom/Storms. It's brutal. I've killed 4 condors in 1 battle with that build

I use a Scorpion with the Halo and Corona weapons. I agree; the Scorpion seems more adept at dealing with Condors.

Yes they are still very good on many bots.
Only weakness in the Brisant is the shot interval. It hits hard, but is a bit weak in sustained damage.
