No need to take that off, and there is an oil journal you need to mark that ring before you take it off. If you don't put it back on the same you will burn up your bearings.
My 540 diff doesn't look like that, no ring with bolts under the output flanges, the seals are just driven in on top of the outer bearing races and the giant snap ring.

Ya neither does my 530 diff. I didn't think the m5 diff was so different, just thought it had lsd and big cooling fins
@@Codeman785 Disappointing that we didn't get LSDs in ours. I just put a wavetrac in, it's a lot of work.
