quick rundown of stuff. I obviously can't mention everything. RR content coming soon
Okay
The WWE Renaissance Era (2022-2024) Has Been GOATED 🐐🔥
Is that what they're officially calling this era or you just made that up? I like it though

Everyone's calling this era the Renaissance Era which I think is the best suited name for it. I personally think it started post thunderdome (Around MITB 2021) but it really kicked off at the start of 2022.
2022 and 2021 were pretty bad years with the bloodline being pretty medicore(they were boring till sami joined) and them killing the world title scene and tag title scene for those years. I think wwe finally started getting actually good when sami joined the bloodline which was late 2022. Wargames 2022 is the offical start of that era imo.
I call it the Renaissance era or cerebral era
This was an absolute banger of a year. Almost every PPV kicked ass, a lot of memorable matches, storylines, and moments occurred, louder and bigger crowds, more international shows, more sold out shows, and overall, a much more better enjoyment of the product that we fans haven’t felt with WWE or wrestling in YEARS. This will forever be one of WWE’s best years, and I’ll never forget the memories I made with my family, like attending WrestleMania live for the first time ever in our home. What a year.😌❤️
I disagree i felt like alot of the PLE where incredibly predictable and pushing either champ or not elevating others.
Sami fell off the planet and Cody lets be honest hasn't looked liked world champ material since losing to Reigns because since then he feuded with lesnar and after than multiple random singles matches and a large portion of time as a tag team guy. 4 of the past 7 people to lose to reigns have one the tag team titles one of the others was handed the US title even though he had only won once
The Renaissance era is looking great, feels like when I started watching wrestling in 2005-2007 again
Yes
2023 was an absolutely amazing year for the WWE. Storytelling, Matches, PLE’s etc. I have a very good feeling that 2024 is gonna be even better for the company 💯
Hell of a year to come back to wrestling after so long. If 2024 just does away with the 10 month title reigns and actually lets guys win the belts so their momentum isn’t killed, it could genuinely be a competitor for the best year in the history of the company.
Yea let's get some back and forths. Shinsuke, Drew, maybe even Sammy and Jey deserve time with the belt?
i truly believe we’re creeping into a new renaissance in wrestling
2023 has been a great year for WWE but unfortunately one of the saddest moments of WWE history as happened. R.I.P. Bray Wyatt 🙏🏽💔
2023 was wild in the wrestling world
No it wasn’t it was lame and boring
@@JayWIll2000syou must be an aew watcher
One of the best years in WWE History. Triple H COOKED every PLE in 2023 and he should stay for the forseable future.
Cody's face should be on the thumbnail. Dude has been amazing this past year. Wrestled the most, sold the most merch, and able to keep himself relatively hot even after his huge loss at Mania. Be fair bro.
2024 gone be greater 🎉
2023 was the best year for the company since 2016
Dont let this distract you from the fact that the Fingerpoke of Doom is 25 years old
the year i got back into watching wrestling weekly ❤️ so thankful for all the moments
Right I kinda left again in 2017 when they gave Jinder the Belt
2023 in wwe has some good some awful some great moment in wrestling history now i want to see what 2024 going to be in wwe now
I still remember on UA-cam while watching WWE videos always seeing a UA-cam ad between LA Knight and Bray Wyatt for their match at the Royal Rumble. Eerie to remember after he ended up passing away. R.I.P. Bray Wyatt.😢
wasn't a perfect year but damn was it exciting and fun
Are you a kid cause that would explain a lot
I quite like WWE in 2023. There were some ups and some downs but there were more ups than down it's probably the best WWE year in a long time. Now this year probably like last will have more ups then down but the downs I kinda expect to be rare downs.
I started back watching year round this year. Its must see again like it was in 05-09
Great video & 2023 was a damn good for year for WWE and I can't wait to see what 2024 has in store for us
It will always be funny to me that Vince gave up ownership & majority voting power when merged the company with Endeavour in an attempt to take over creative only for the merger to be completed & for Endeavour to remove Vince from creative & give full creative control to Triple H & demote Vince to a figurehead with no power
We Had A Lot Crazy Moments In 2023.
It’s actually such a shame Bray passed. I feel like he’d be yer another jewel in a crown of the main event by now
that ronda vs shayna match should've been a normal match or the fignt pit stipulation
2023 in wwe was just another level
Sami carrying the Bloodline story
The return of the world Heavyweight title
And the rest is history.
One of my favorite years in wwe
Notable things from WWE’s 2023:
Cody Rhodes returned from a 2022 injury.
Roman Reigns’ popularity dwindled severely.
Seth Rollins gave RAW a top champion as an answer to Roman’s part-time status issue, which makes Seth, in my own opinion, 2023’s Wrestler Of The Year.
LA Knight’s popularity gets out of hand.
Rey Mysterio becomes 3x United States Champion.
The Usos break up.
John Cena takes advantage of the SAG Strike to return to WWE.
Two deaths in just two days (Terry Funk (It was coming eventually) and Bray Wyatt (This one caught everyone by surprise)).
Logan Paul wins United States Title.
Ilja Dragunov wins NXT Title.
Dragon Lee wins North American Title.
Randy Orton and CM Punk return on the same night.
Feel free to reply if I missed anything.
Rock returned after 4 years
WWE From 2022-Present has Been a Breath of Fresh Air in the Sky my Boy
Late 2022. Early and mid 2022 was really bad.
@@cerebralassassin2185 yeah I should’ve Clarified
@@KingACE05everything since the crowds came back is good 2022 was apart of the boom period people will automatically shun off early 22 because Vince was still in charge but if you look at it 22 was great I mean dam we even got a stone cold wrestlemania match
@@mikemadsen79261 night doesn’t make the months great stone cold didn’t appear on tv once
I think wargames 2022 is when I'd officially say the new era began. This year, other than some of it, was really damn good. It's been the best year we've had in a while. Way better than anything from 2017- early & mid 2022.
Things were hot ever since the covid crowds came back people were excited to be able to come out again that they just sat back and enjoyed the show instead constantly looking for things to criticize. That's how we watched wrestling back then before the entitled bitter internet fans
I actually hadn't watched WWE in years. Seeing all the stuff with Gunther along with Sami Zayn leaving the Bloodline, Cody Rhodes' return, and all the stuff with the Judgement Day had me sucked right back in and I'm very happy with the direction they're going in
i stopped watching in 2014 then raw 30 years came and i been watching weekly ever since and it didn’t disappoint felt like i was watching 2014 all over again but better
2023 was a phenomenal and superb year for wwe every ppv delivered and certain people got deserve pushes and the mid card and diva division had major storylines as well.
Probably the best year in wwe in very long time, no perfect but he left us memorable moments, clasic matches, good storylines and many talents had the opportunity to shine like they had never done before, Chad Gable, Nakamura, Bronson Reed, Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Santos Escobar , L.A Knight who wouldn't have had a chance in the Vince era.
For me you forgot to mention NXT this year the brand white and gold has given a lot to talk about like I haven't done it in a long time. The return of the ppv in arenas that brought back that takeover vibe in his prime, and we had great fights candidates for fights of the year like Ilja Dragunov vs Carmelo Hayes in TAB and No Mercy, Ilja vs Dijak at Battleground, The fatal five way for the north american title, Becky vs Tiffany among others.
The booking of Shawn Michaels put Nxt on the map again to the point of being considered the best show in wwe, which is saying a lot and means that the change to 2.0 a was for the better in the long term.
Less squash matches, more title defenses, more effort into the craft, instead of social media.
2023 WWE was good
You should do a video on the 2007 royal rumble!
I wouldn’t complain if I never saw Chelsea Green on my TV again
Bray wyatt, Windham, you are sorely missed❤ im glad Trips brought him back but man😢
Ready for Cody to finish his story 🔥
Definitely hope Roman drops the titles this year. Hopefully gunther gets in the mix
That makes all of us that were stunned. I know I was too.
The Miz vs Gunther was so awesome in my opinion
Also, Macey Estrella and Ashley Sebera.
We are currently in another Golden Age of wrestling and it’s honestly great to see
No we’re not what’s wrong with you 🤣
@@JayWIll2000syour that hard-core aedud fan that goes around comment sections looks for people mention wwe,s success and tries to rain on people's parade with your bias....get over it aedud is done for
Amazing we got great stuff with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Drew Mcyntire, Cody Rhodes, La Knight and Gunther we also got the return of CM Punk and probably the best year of Becky lynch
We had amazing matches (bloodline civil war ) and amazing stories
I think wrestling ever since 2021 has been steadily getting better and better
It was crazy ngl
Never forget The UnderLesnar phase 😂
I would say the best match of the year was Sammy Zane, versus Roman reigns for the undisputed championship at elimination chamber
I went to my first Wwe show ever dec 19 2022. Dec 18th 2023 was the 6th show I went to lol
2023 was an great year with the returns of Orton, Punk, Cena and Rock plus Cody was the MVP of 2023 with his larger than life presence while LA Knight was the breakout star of the year. Dirty Dom being a major heel, Gunther was the biggest workhorse, Sami and Jey turns on Bloodline while Trick Williams and Lara Valkyria was the breakout stars of NXT.
Dude why bring up Cena and rock and punk they didn’t do anything but make short returns and because of that they made 2023 look a whole lot better.
Chelsea Green returned. Not debuted.
Jimmy uso turning heel made no sense. I know they mentioned he was jealous 3 times in 15 years but seriously. Its like they realized they didnt have another 4 years to tell this story so they rushed it
By Uncle howdy.
In 2024 wwe had grand return of blood yay
Asuka was never in stardom.
Swag it twas
Do one on Aew
👍👍
I felt WrestleMania night 2 should have had 2 more matches
I don’t think Drew is a heel to be fair I think he a in between
They just let the Judgment Day eat all the cakes. People like them, so let’s just keep it going.
When I have watched, it's been mid. Roman needs to drop the title, Gunther is a charisma vacuum, they've ruined Cody's story, now they brought back the Rock for a completely meaningless feud with Roman, the in ring product is sooo dull. Just when they start having what seems like the beginning of a great match on Raw for instance, it ends abruptly....
I am truly at awe over the showering of praise this middling promotion has been receiving as of late...compare that to the steady stream of criticism and downright hatred towards AEW by the IWC marks...which at the very least, usually delivers in the ring... despite the poor booking on occasion, which everyone seems to focus in on.
Last year i wanted more world title changes especially between seth, cody, fin and damian. So hopefully this year we will get it.
Yeah and Shane McMahon had just returned then he immediately wrestles and injures himself.
I feel the miz should have been mentioned because he had a laughable record and miz turned face which i feel with HHH booking he can become better and he is Shiwing promise witb him being better than ever in ring and on mic at 43
2023 > 2020-2022
About aew in 2023
“Dom has turned his reputation around, even in ring” How??? By doing what exactly?
He’s shit on the mic
Shit in the ring
Has a trash physique
And can’t cut a promo without mentioning Rey
😭
He doesn’t even get good heat in anymore, there’s clips all over twitter of the boos being radioed in when he’s about to talk.
He did nothing with the NXT NA championship other than hold it hostage and keep it warm for dragon Lee💀
lol
I hate Rhea Ripley, Chelsea Green, and Nia Jax.
Rhea Ripley has stood throughout the year because men only simp for her and fans as a whole can only see factions like Judgement Day and The Bloodline but in particular, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio because people in society just seem to be more interested in storylines that have a man and a woman hanging out together. I mean look at Jimmy Kimmel obsessing over The Bachelor. See what that’s about it so there you go. I can’t stand Rhea Ripley though.
I watched this to catch up i havent watched in a long time and no wonder what garbage now... Bad Bunny ??? Logan Paul?? All these weanies even CM Punk whose 0-2 in MMA and lets get Brock to lose to Cody Rhodes ?? Wow!! You can tell Triple H screwed his way to Vince"s chair ... Glad i quit when Undertaker retired.. The last one that was even close to good was the Fiend amd how pathetic was WWE for what they did to poor Bray... R.I.P
About as good as 1994era. Horrible. Maybe another decade of The Walrus carrying the belts will help
Wwes year was a waste of time.. the bloodline went nowhere and still hasn't been paid off at all on any level, not many new stars were made and we are still relying on part time champions to move tickets. Their 2 biggest signings have done nothing either. aew was better all year
Clearly your trying real hard to defend your sinking ship of an organization as usual nothing happened in aew but generic wrestler vs generic wrestler rinse repeat.wwe doesn't just throw green wrestlers in a ring there's structure there trained jade will be at the rumble. Jade punk and Rhodes were the only stars aew had and now there mega stars in wwe. Aew has been dimming the lights real low to hide empty arenas, while 2023 was wwe,s most profitable and interesting year
Same old crap definitely year
Most Boring Year ever
Agreed
@@JayWIll2000s*aew everybody is going on about how amazing wwe has been
