I used it for toenail fungus, first filing down the nail and then applying it liberally on and around the nail. Worked better than any of the many products I tried.

vicks is a great deterant for ants and lady bugs along with mosquitos. just rub some around windows and doorways to keep pests out. u can also use liquid vicks and spray it. i personally prefer the cream as it seems to last longer. reapply when u notice pests coming inside again. i also use this on my tent when i go camping.

When my daughter was born, she had really bad colic which is gas in her tummy. A family friend suggested I put Vicks or Mentholatum on her belly button or if she still had her umbilical cord (which she did) then put it, not on, but around her belly button area. I swear it worked within 15 minutes. I put a onesie on her just in case she touched her belly so she couldn't get it in her eyes. Up to 15 minutes later it sounded like popcorn in her diaper. LOL She and I both were able to get some much needed sleep. Oh and this works on adults as well in case you wondered. Gas pains can be very painful and putting some Vicks or Mentholatum (whichever you have) on or around your belly button will make your gas pains start to go away within 15 minutes. Just be sure to go to a room by yourself if you are easily embarrassed about passing gas.

Thank you for posting this information. My husband had large bruises on his left arm, which have been there for months. Not dangerous, but looked awful. I rubbed Vicks with salt combo as suggested and after 3 applications, they went completely away. I was amazed and my husband is pleased.

Whenever I was sick my grandma used to put this on my chest like normal but also would massage it into my back all over. It's instantly soothing, helps you breathe easier and fall asleep quickly too. I use this method now for asthma that I was just diagnosed with as an adult. And it has the same effects

+Jane Doe For me it really helps like loosen the mucus in my lungs and the inflammation. Whenever I'm feeling tight it helps me be able to relax a bit. Most of the time I don't cough at night but when I do it's bad and it seems to help. It's definitely worth a try!

I stumbled across your video by accident. And I have to send you a great big thank you! I have had this painful bump under my skin, next to my mouth, for over a month. It has been freaking me out because I cant get rid of it (I am still planning on asking my doctor, just to be sure) BUT.... I just wanted to thank you because I did not know there was such a thing. You saved my anxiety button.:) I would also like to add that they actually make a stick (like a over sized chap stick tube) for headaches. and once you said vics. I know now what the smell reminded me of. A friend let me use it & rubbed on temples, I felt almost immediate relief, I wish I knew the name of it I looked it up and found a tube called HeadOn headache treatment. SO BIG THANK YOU ON SHARING YOUR INFORMATIVE INFO! YAY!!!!
On another note, someone had written about Vaseline type products being bad on pores and possible skin cancer. I am a first hand witness to the amazing effects plain ole Vaseline does for a womens skin, I know of four elderly ladies, that do NOT look their age, show no pores and when you ask them what's their secret, they all said "all their lives, they used faithfully Vaseline" and that is all they ever used. Two of them since passed, one of them my grandmother 97 and it didnt run in our family gene because her 11 sisters and brother did not have skin like hers.. at all. Never a day, that you didnt look at their skin and think wow! oh, and no cancer either.

Hmm, that makes me wonder if it works on cold sores too? ( Your pimple wasn't a cold sore was it? ) I hate cold sores, usually use some chapstick made to fight them, but if Vicks cured it too that'd be better... now that I think of it, the medical chapstick reminds me of Vicks hmmm.

Vicks also helps with extreme dry eyes. I'm NOT a dr! But I have Lupus that causes severe dry eyes that become painful. I put Vicks all around my eyes, (not in them) it soothes them and makes my eyes tear. Vicks cures athletes foot as well. I could hear you just fine. Thank you for taking the time to make this video! You did not have to. To the people being so rude, don't watch it. Weren't you taught, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all? Thank you again for the very useful info!

Loose skin, stretch marks, the cystic acne I've had since I was 19 or so too. That, or I could maybe see about getting just the essential oils that vicks uses in the ingredients and taking baths in the oils... :D

I'm gonna be checking out every crying scene on TV to see if I can spot shiny patches of Vick's vapour rub under the actors' eyes! In fact, crying scenes are hereby known as "she's doing a Vick's" from now on in my house. We used to refer to them previously as "she's doing a cow's arse" (best said with an Irish accent)

When I was a kid, we had a professional rabbit business, Some of our rabbits were new mothers, so we had to "farm the babies to our more seasoned mothers. So, here's another use for Vicks Vapor Rub: put a little on mama's nose, and a little on the babies. Soon the old babies will mix with the new ones, and mama can't tell the difference.

The only problem I have with Vicks is that it has spirits of terpintine in it (and to think I loved the stuff so much as a kid I used to eat it and also slathered it everywhere on myself...including my doll LOL) So now I use Tiger Balm (ultra) cause it is stronger and white (doesn't stain) has menthol and all natural ingredients in it. I always get the large size that comes in a tin. More economical that way and buy it at Wallmart. They have the best price unless you go to China Town. I need a lot for aching of Fibromyalgia. Works much better than Vicks and less is more when using. It is stronger but it works for all the things you mentioned and lasts longer too when applied to skin for colds, etc. In other words it takes longer to dissipate.

My problem with Vicks has always been, the strong smell and stinging, burning sensation. Wonder if there is an equivalent odor-free version. Didn't they eventually make an odorless version of Ben Gay? I remember my elderly relatives slathering on the stuff for their arthritic pains and it really permeated everything in the house! Problem solved when the odorless version was introduced.

I can't imagine slathering Vicks on my body to keep insects and mosquitos away. I think it would drive away humans as well. I mean, who wants to be around someone who reeks of Vicks? Not me.

Thank you, thank you, I do know that it does work for cystic pimples, I got one on my cheek the other night, and for some reason I thought of vicks and it soften up and rose to the surface. I am definetly gonna try it for stretch marks.

I know cocoa butter is good for stretch marks and coco nut oil and cocoa butter i good for the skin, never knew that vicks have that many uses to, I will look it up to find out more. I do find that Petroleum jelly based products are a bit heavy on my skin and it feels clammy on my skin, so I use coco nut oil, cocoa butter mix. Any way nice video.

Jewelsy, great video. I like it because I was able to take notes. Your way of telling it was good. It would be boring if you just spouted of a list of things. Don't let anyone get you down. I read through most of the posts and I had to read through bunch complaints to get to the good posts. The complainers are worse than what they are complaining about. Shame on all who went off topic.
The posts that really got to me were the ones about their penis. Imagine! Is that all some of you men think about. A penis is not a big thing. Look around and there is very few things that aren't bigger than penis. It causes more problems than any good it does ...for its owner and others.

lol, we used the tears trick thing at school when we wanted to skip school for the day! We'd smear the Vicks under our eyes, then go crying & with bloodshot eyes, to the teacher, complaining that we had a headache/flu/fever/whatevah, and couldn't possibly sit in a classroom. So were sent home! yay!
