Hey Trevor, Good news! Power Query is available on the Mac version of Excel. Here is a video where I show it. ua-cam.com/video/lPEDULKhgRM/v-deo.html The features are still limited but continue to roll out.
@@ExcelCampus That is good news! Not sure why it's taken them 12 years to start working on it and why it's still missing so many features. Seems like the main code base should be the same and it's just UI updates to add the editor. Until it's feature complete, I probably wouldn't recommend anyone use it in a mixed OS environment since passing them an Excel file from a Windows machine probably wouldn't work. At least, connection only queries are a must. Thanks for letting us know though that it's coming...
The biggest problem with PowerQuery is that it can not load a file from a OneDrive folder. It's been years and Microsoft hasn't fixed this problem. I have to keep telling my accounting folks to run their reports from a regular network drive. Otherwise, it's the most powerful tool that Microsoft has provided for Excel. I have automated some process flows that load in about 9 external files, merge, group, merge again, and do a lot of other processing.
Is a very powerful tool indeed. I use it everyday. Congrats for the video
Good job as always, you inspire me in the creation of spreadsheets for gambling. Keep doing the good job

Thanks Vijay! 😊
Thank you for all your videos! 😊
I appreciate your support, Rhea! 😊
Also noted a bunch of Mac's in your stock footage. Power Query does not exist in Excel for Mac.

I feel macro is easier. What's the advantage of power query vs macro if both tasks can be achieved by either?
Looks good Jon! Good luck with the launch!!
