  • COVID-19 Update 59 with Roger Seheult, MD of www.medcram.com/?Y...
We recorded this video in response to your comments asking what Dr. Seheult's daily regimen is - to optimize his immune system and minimize COVID-19 risk. In the absence of good clinical data that is specific to SARS-CoV-2, Dr. Seheult discusses supplements, sleep, and his daily disinfection routine when removing PPE, getting in his car, and returning home from the hospital. We look forward to more randomized, blinded, placebo-control studies in the future that will build upon the current body of evidence as it relates to immunity and specifically coronaviruses such as SARS-CoV-2.

I just got over covid after 2 weeks, quercetin and NAC extremely helpful for my breathing. I stayed outpatient and kept oxygen above 92. When I was in worst condition to took quercetin 500 mg every 8 hours/600 mg every 8 hours and zinc gluconate 50 mg very 8 hours/ vitamin C 500 mg every eight hours. Quercetin and NAC game changers for breathing. Also a few big doses of vit d. Timing of doses was based on symptoms. I weened off by going longer and longer dosing once a day now. I still have minor discomfort and some fatigue but getting better. I’m 49.

It would seam like lethality is a lit lower than we previously thought. I seen numbers between 0.34-0.58% based on imunity. That is much lower than previously thought
Now when I my self, my family, my cousin and my parents in law all been sick I would say, the numbers well match my experience.

      Fantastic comment.
With regard to numbers, perhaps mortality will eventually come in lower, but for now, it's safe to assume that anything up to 12 out of every 100 people will need hospital treatment. 5 out of every hundred will require intensive care and some will die regardless. However, if healthcare systems are overwhelmed, the 12% group may miss out on treatment and any number up to 12 out of every hundred will die - unnecessarily.
With no evidence that immunity can be built up and not knowing if we can contract this thing more than once, I would suggest that not getting it in the first place is the way to go.

@@RobCLynchIn a study in Denmark they tested the blood taken from 1487 blood donors for antibodies to Coronavirus. Correcting for age and other variables they conclude that the death rate in the population is about 1.6 out of every 1000 people. I.e. less than 0.2%. In the UK just under 90 nurses and doctors have died of Corona. There are about 600,000 nurses and doctors in the UK. Not all but many nurses and doctors will have frequent exposure to Coronavirus. How much vitamin D to take?
I'd suggest get tested first. If you are low (or close to low but still WNL), then take vitamin D supplements.
Then retest in 3 months, because you:
      1) want to know if you're taking enough
      2) want to know that you aren't taking too much
You also want to consume your vitamin D supplement with a meal which contains *fat* , so don't take it on an empty stomach or with only fruit.

Lilly Anne Serrelio DHEA is a pro hormone manufactured in the body from Pregnenolone for which cholesterol is a precursor. DHEA is either converted to testosterone or estrogen depending on the individual. DHEA also promotes growth hormone release. It is a biomarker of aging levels declining markedly in old age as an indicator of metabolism. Lowered DHEA levels also lead to a lowered immune system.

@@elainascott7496 Same here, picked up extra wholefood vitamin C, Quercetin dihydrate, rose hip powder and a zinc supplement after his first overview on them and a day of my own research. I also found oleuropein from olive leaves, which disrupts the membranes of Coronaviruses, and shortly after I stocked up on T-cell boosters because it looked like it was doing something funny there. Sure enough, the virus infects T-cells and making extras during that phase will probably be helpful so I have Suma, Pau d' arco, echinacea, on hand in case I come down with it in spite of the prophylactic supplements. Also, for when this is over, and we can let our immune systems relax and not be constantly stimulated through supplementation, look into Radix peonea alba. Decoctions of the root of the white medicinal peony bush have been looked at by several studies which (paraphrasing and summarizing)had a balancing effect on the levels of different populations of T-cells, specifically in two types which are frequently out of balance in in both autoimmune and immunocompromized conditions.

Results of a blood analysis showed my Vitamin D near 0% but results of 50 other metrics were ideal. Too many hours spent indoors. After a yr of D3 supplements @ 10,000 iu daily, vitamin D levels had risen to @ 60% of max. Normal is 50%; anything above 50% can be toxic so my primary advised that I cut daily intake in half. I take no medications of any kind including aspirin. Haven't had a headache, cold or flu in decades. After watching this video I believe Dr. Seheult is giving us great advice. I'll be adding a zinc & manganese supplement to a magnesium supplement taken regularly. Magnesium and calcium are important parts of 300 different neurological and hormonal processes.
I used to run every day, but at 62 yrs of age I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke due to hypertension. I blew a sneaker on Heartbreak Hill, metaphorically speaking. It left me bedridden with total left side paralysis. Family was told I wouldn't make it. I recovered 70% mobility and walked out of rehab 3 months later. I'm 76 now. Your body heals itself if given half the chance.
Overeating is a problem for all of us, but fasting for four days (keto diet) helps to cleanse the organs and body of diseased cells thru autophagy and apoptosis. It also ends sugar cravings by eliminating molds and yeasts in the intestinal biome. The first three days are hell. On the fourth day the sun comes out and rainbows, birds and bunny rabbits appear.
Four days of fasting in my experience is a necessary minimum. It's also a good stopping point! Use it to switch over to an Atkins diet. Ending the fast and re-feeding your body is the most important piece of resetting your organs & bodily systems, re-establishing your gut biome and re-energizing your immune system. A side benefit is knocking ten years off your chronological age. Really. These are all a normal part of my ongoing lifetime rehab thanks to the invaluable help of some great doctors. I'm not a doctor and wouldn't try doing this alone without one. It has been life changing.

@@lillyanneserrelio2187 I try different things and have experimented with supposed super foods if they made sense as a progenitor if not the actual vitamin supplement needed to produce an enzyme or hormonal process. Controlling sleep's critical for mental health. I see it everywhere here in the seniors complex I live in; lots of anxiety and depression. Memory, recall, mood, homeostasis, etc. are so important to maintaining our sanity. I'm pretty stable in those departments. I get 5-6 hours of good sleep, going thru all four stages of sleep multiple times, with an hour tacked on of ruminative awakening and some reflectivity on the coming day.
We have to be careful about attributing too much success to supplements. There's a lot of advertispeak and hyperbole associated with them. Nothing beats real food, IMO, ie raw carrots for the beta carotene we need to make our own vitamin A. I don't deny myself ice cream or chocolate but I don't dwell on them either and usually can go without for weeks.
I'd like to say I've stayed faithful to a diet. Not true. During this plandemic I gained 21pounds while staying inside (too much pizza & soft drinks, everything bad! & my worstest two bad habits - so bad I tried making my own root beer - 5 gallons worth) and was forced to jump into another bout of keto. Currently closing within 9 lbs of pre-pandemic weight and still dropping. Ride to the sound of the guns.
PS I make my own distilled water for drinking and cooking. 5-10 gallons per, as needed.

Richard Burger yes I hope the Medcram team see this - vitamin a or more precisely cod liver oil removed my asthma symptoms and I was described as chronic, I went from chronic asthma to not using an inhaler. If Dr S reads this then he also should look in to the topical application of vitamin a in the form of cod liver oil or castor oil or oil from hemp seeds on the chest so it reaches the lungs that way too. Some of us have poor metabolism of fats so topical application is preferable

Daytona 5.7 I ran across this blog and it sounds important for ventilator use. Someone should look into it
      qiang-huang.blogspot.com/
According to the epidemic report, the number of deaths in Wuhan today (February 27) has halved for the first time, from more than 100 people a day to more than 50. The anatomy of the patient's body has revealed that a large number of sputum plugs appeared in the lungs of the deceased. The sputum plugs were generated by the use of a ventilator. The sputum plugs eventually caused hypoxia and death. Starting yesterday, the rescue was switched to a sputum suction machine, and the death toll was halved all at once. This is to thank the donors of the remains, and the second is to thank the team of Professor Liu Liang from the Department of Forensic Medicine of Tongji.
This information is for reference only. I am not a medical doctor. It is up to the professionals to make decision. Doctors should investigate this issue scientifically.I hope the doctors can find a cure of this horrible disease soon.

Check your vitamin D supplement dose you're getting. Esp if it's part of a multi-vitamin or bought in a regular shop, it's likely way too low, as you often see levels targeting 100% RDA, which is basically enough to stop you getting rickets. When everything is going well, you don't need as much, but as soon as you hit situations where your body needs to do something extra, like heal damage, fight infection, not having plenty of spare d3 in your blood can simply stop these from being effective, and many supplement products are following old guidelines. Probably target around 5,000 IU (125μg) per day, reports of toxicity don't really start until 30,000IU per day. If you're already taking maybe 1000IU, you may see some benefits by increasing, but maybe not that big a deal, but if you're getting less than 20μg per day, an increase has a good chance of giving noticeable improvements wrt respiratory health, BUT, I'm just an internet person, my advice is reckless as I know nothing about you, don't trust it, don't check it just by googling for pages that agree ("vitamin d3 benefits") but always also google for the opposites ("vitamin d3 risks", "vitamin d3 side effects" etc) etc etc

I used to take vitamins but then realized how do you really know what dosage is right for you unless you took a blood test? Vitamin C is okay because it's H2O soluble and you pee out any excess but other fat soluble vitamins and minerals can stay within your body a long time. Also, if anyone is on any medication and has other health issues that could potentially affect absorption and/or toxicity.

This is the best channel about medicine and SARS-COV-2. Thank you for giving people logical tips that might help and at the same time keep your body healthy. Sometimes you can't wait for 100% guaranties that something will work but by looking at previous studies, understanding how chemicals work and how cells work, you can connect some dots and do stuff that could potentially help. I actually started taking Quercetin based on your previous video about its relationship with hydrocloroquin and zinc.

Thank you! I believe you saved my life. I have been sick for weeks. I began with a positive test for firvinfluenza A on the last week of February and then I caught a cold after that I believe I caught covid19 on March 21. My daughter and I have had all the covid19 symptoms. Even our dog has been sick. He had diarrhea, fever, runny nose and no energy. We were trying everything as we learned of it. Started with black seed oil then added elderberry then vit C and zinc then added vit D. Around the 28th of March I went to the ER with tachycardia and blueish lips. My blood oxygen was down to 96. My lungs looked clear and with no evidence of heart attack I was sent home. After that I added iron and peobiotics. I have insomnia so about 1O days ago I added GABA, melatonin, lemon balm and ashwaganda. 4 days ago went to be checked my blood oxygen was down to 93 and the bottom of my lungs were filled with mucus. I was sent home to rest. 3 days ago thanks to you I added quercetin
and NAC and I also switched to Vit C with bioflavanoids. Yesterday I went back to the doctor for a check up. My blood oxygen was back up to 97. I am feeling much better. I gave my dog quercetin, vit c with bioflavanoids, zinc, magnesium, banana chips for potassium, probiotics, and milk for vit D. His fever is finally gone. I am celebrating cautiously because what I have learned is this thing is tricky. When you think you've conquered it you can't let up on treatment or it will come back. Thank you for sharing your lifesaving knowledge.

good for you, that's so admirable. We need more people like you. I was reading comments on another site today, can't recall which now, so many older people were saying they had really bad reactions to the flu vaccine, including chest infections. Some commented that many elderly people were dying after the flu vaccine, and had been doing well previous to that. Not that all vaccines are necessarily bad per se, but I had also heard of many people getting pneumonia after a flu vaccine. And I had stumbled upon a comment to a video at a different site, where one person recounted a conversation he had with a truck driver at a truck stop. The truck driver told him he used to be an IT executive for one of the big pharma companies. The other guy asked him, well what are you doing driving a truck? The truck driver replied that he had discovered they were putting the pneumonia bug in the flu vaccine, (in order to kill as many older people as possible, so they wouldn't use their medicare, etc.) and that his company had found out he knew and they had threatened him so he quit and became a truck driver. I actually believe this story, as there are too many sinister people in power nowadays, and too many agendas, you can't trust them. I wanted to tell you this in case you get the chance to make a difference cause I can tell you are a good person- don't force the flu vaccine on older people. I don't even think you make new antibodies, I mean to new diseases, if you are over 65, but I'll have to ask the doc about that.

Dr. Seheult I live in Toronto. My husband and I had the worst flu of our lives in mid January. I had painful blisters and hives with no fever. my husband had a 98.6 fever for 6 days and no blisters or hives. We both lost our sense of taste and smell and lost 6 lbs each. It took me 14 days to recover and my husband 10 days but afterwards we were both dizzy for a month. In early March I started getting shortness of breath a very dry cough and my oxygen was dropping to 85%. I went to emerg where they gave discovered the oxygen dropping and gave me a chest xray and ultrasound which showed nothing and a ct with contrast dye . The CT showed mild linear atelectasis so I was sent home and told to just rest and come back if it gets worse. I was able to speak normally but my heart stats were erratic at this time too. The rash came back on my feet at this time as well. The pressure on my lungs got so bad I googled COPD exercises. My husband started coughing again a few days after my low oxygen kicked in and we were both sick again for another couple weeks. Thanks to your videos I upped my vitamin C and D and got zinc (30mg) and Quercetin. slowly but surely my oxygen levels normalized and my HR etc and my husband stopped coughing again. I think we got covid 19 in Jan from when we travelled and then it came back again. Neither of us have felt fully right since January. I hope it does not come back but thanks for your videos, I think they helped heal me so far!!

Thank you so much. I have learned so much and shared your information. Thank you for taking care of patients and also taking care of the rest of citizens by giving us so much information that allows us to make changes for our benefit and those around us. God bless you!
