*Solid, **Fastly.Cool** and gets the job done. For rooms where window-mounted air conditioning is not an option, this works very well. Easy set up, rapid cooling, and great design.*
Thank you. As a woman it is so enabling to see detailed videos of “how to’s” by another woman. My handle just snapped, so I know I can sort it myself. 👍
Thanks so much. We were able to repair the winder as we couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stay together. What we didn't know was you needed an Allen Key. Thank you again so so much. All fixed now.
Thank you for this video. It enabled me to fix the crank which is something I had no idea how to do. Your pictures and words described everything I needed to know. I sincerely THank YOU!!!
This was most helpful. To the point, showed exactly what needed to be done, and covered handle, how to turn, and antenna lubing. I just broke my handle, so glad to know its cheap to replace. I don't know why they don't make it out of aluminum instead. Thanks a lot for the great video!! Loved the footage on the storm too!
Thank you, you sweet woman. Mine just popped off when I tried to turn and pull the disk down. your video helped me fix it. Thank you for taking the time to show us.
I know you didn't cover it, as I was looking to replace the 'worm-gear hex elevating shaft' (basically the aluminum hex you showed at the bottom, which goes up to the top and has a worm gear on it. My aluminum hex shaft is bent, so I have a new one (again, not too costly) but I thought I'd see if your video would show it, but I'm sure I can figure it out, as I've had it out in the past, to lubricate the elevating shaft. You can easily do that on yours, by pulling off the black cap on the mechanism, and spray some of your silicone spray down there, and it will lubricate the shaft, which...looks to be made of a hard plastic or something similar, but is a worm gear and 'should' be lubricated annually in my opinion. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the infor.....I had broken my handle and when I took it off, the spring and the inner part came flying down onto the floor. Two minute fix after watching your video as wasn't sure where the spring came from. Thanks again.
Thank you you are very knowledgeable my wineguard is making a noise in strong wind is this normal when the wind settles down its okay did have it looked at but what can i do to stop it making such a noise thanks for any suggestions
WOW yours is well sealed on the roof Mine is rattling around up there due to windy conditions its working well and they say these new ones need a little slack? Live in New Zealand in a caravan from the USA
At long last my winegard is banging in the stormy weather and is getting worse how can i fix it please nobody will come to me I am in a cottage from the USA in New Zealand i do not know what is banging around but it is the sat dish thanks for all your help
I have a 1986 Pacearrow the crank arrangement is similar to yours. I went to purchase a replacement crank for my unit because as you said the plastic does get brittle with time. Unfortunately the new crank handle like yours has a hex, in plastic, to accept a hex shaped shaft. This will never fit the old shaft which is round with opposing flat areas to allow the set screw to tighten against. Further, the old crank has a brass metal insert which allows more torque to be applied to hold the crank handle to the shaft. It also costs a little more to produce money Winegard does not want to spend. Another planned obsolescence thing to get people to buy or waste more money from them making Winegard more money. It would appear the old shaft then needs to be replaced with a hex shaft and the worm gear too would now need an internal hex to allow the shaft to fit. I would have preferred a crank handle with a hex metal insert to allow better holding to the shaft also allowing more torque on the set screw for a better hold.
Camper is un-scrubbed and un-winterized. Where's your pride, bmeyer44? Hope you at least fixed that faulty DVD shelf while you had the tools out. MALT LIQUOR.
I'm sorry, bmeyer44. I hope she isn't in there long and that her recovery is quick and full. Also hope her daughter finally figures out that there's no need to 'homebrew' when delicious MALT LIQUOR is sold all over town.
1:18 "It has two 'like' notches?" or two notches? If they're "like" notches, then they're something similar .. and not notches. 1:32 You don't want to "basically" line the tabs up with the notches, you WANT to line the tabs up with the notches. 2:40 and you don't "basically" want to back the set screw out.. you want to BACK the set screw out. 2:54... "I'm not sure what size it is..." Find out BEFORE you make your video. This gives you a lot more credibility. Your close ups were blurry, you waste too much time on what you aren't prepared for, and your arm blocks the actual installation. Get someone to operate the camera for you. I couldn't watch past 3:21
7 years later and still helping people! Thanks for taking the time to show this.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It helped me understand how the assembly inside was put together. I appreciate it.
you're welcome!
Thank you for sharing this video.😊
Thanks for the great vid. My crank handle also broke. Epoxy didn't fix it. Now I know I can buy a new one!

Very well done, I need to do this before the season starts.

I imagine it's the wind over the blade on the antenna...probably not much you can do.
winds died down they said here in nz that its meant to have some movement but i i dont like it the king sat dish for $3,000 would settle the banging!

enjoyed your video, where did you find your part number for the crank?
Thanks we repaired ours too. Working now. 😁

One more question for you...where did you buy that ladder that you were using outside the camper?
Either Lowes or Menards
In Australia the handle is $29
on mine the entire plastic piece that goes up inside broke off way up.
Mine also do you happen to know the part number
My problem was the little plastic gear under the large plastic nut, which is also plastic if anyone knows the part number would be appreciated
Mine is centered perfect but wont slide all the way in wth
Thanks
Sell that camper to John Redcorn! Great ladder video
You missed the rotary track and support brackets.
that antenna mount looked like it was a bit waterlogged. reseal that thing! use dicor self leveling.
Omg you just made my day. Hehe he
I can’t believe that’s all holding it on
