LYRICS:
And we both go down together
We'd stay there forever
Just try to get up
And i'm sorry
This wasn't easy
When i asked you, believe me
And never let go
Well i'm thinking of the worst things
That i could say to you
But a promise doesn't mean a thing anymore
And this never will be right with me
And now you're trying to desperately
But i'm tongue tied and terrified of what i'll say
And then we both go down together
We may stay there forever
I'll just try to get up
And i'm sorry
This wasn't easy
When i asked you, believe me
You never let go
But i let go
I could only sing you sad songs
And you could sing along
And you could see the melody
That's been calling out your wrongs
And this never will be right with me
And now you're trying to desperately
But i'm tongue tied and terrified of what i'll say
But i never told you everything
I'm losing hope and fading dreams
And every single memory along the way
And then we both go down together
We may stay there forever
I'll just try to get up
And i'm sorry
This wasn't easy
When i asked you, believe me
You never let go
But i let go
And we both go down together
And stay there forever
Just try to get up
And then we both go down together
We may stay there forever
I'll just try to get up
And i'm sorry
This wasn't easy
When i asked you, believe me
You never let go
But i let go
Anyone in 2024?
Eu Brazil !❤
hiii
hi ❤
Yeah!
😊Remember good freinds
If you asked 13 year old me what this sing was about, I would have said that it was about a romantic relationship gone wrong. If you ask the current 21 year old me, I have to say its about two friends from childhood who stayed together as friends into their late twenties who ended up in their own relationships and all too late recognized their feelings for each other. But by that point they also had feelings for their respective significant others and so they cant be with each other and decide to be ok with their relationship as it stands, even if it hurts. Or maybe it's 2am and I've had too much sugar
Well damn who hurt you
r/suspiciouslyspecific
See to me it's about a couple, like high-school sweethearts, growing apart. One is trying desperately to do anything to make it better, but the other person is afraid of who they will become or what the would do if they stayed.
Omg I’m 23 years old. But this is exactly me for the last 4 years and with my ex that I dated for 3.5 years and we broke up 4 years ago. And your situation perfectly explains my situation Me and her have been in for the last 4 years 😥🥺😥 it’s really the worst pain. She was my first love and the only girl I ever loved. And tbh she will most likely be the only girl I ever love. I’ll never love a girl as much as her and I’ll never stop. And I know she feels the same way😥 she has been in 2 relationships since we broke up tho. The first one she was in was verbally abusive to her and controlled everything she did and the friends she had. And that guy also have threatened my life. And now she’s in a second relationship with someone that doesn’t abuse her but his life style is probably gonna get her killed one way or another if she’s not careful… and it sucks cuz I know she still got feelings for me.. she has been my best friend since I was 17 and she was 14 when I first met her in High school. We have stayed really close to this day and we both have so much love and feelings and some confusing feelings for each other..
But at the end of the day if she ever needs someone to vent to or someone to be there for her and help her through anything. Im the first person she calls. And no matter what I’m doing I’ll drop everything I’m doing to answer her calls and to go see her and make her feel better as much as I can. I’ve always been her go to shoulder to lean on and to cry on. She doesn’t even have a good family at all and she never could rely on her family. And she tells me all the time that nobody loves, cares and is as reliable for her as much as I am…
Right now I’m 23 years old like I said and she’s 20 for just 3 more months.
But no matter what tho, I would DIE for her period. I’d take any bullet for her, I’d fight any fight for her. And I will protect her with everything that I’ve got until the day that I leave this earth and fall asleep forever.
But OMFG, I’m so sorry this comment is so fuckin long… I didn’t even realize it was this long until now… but if you read this comment and actually read it this far, Thank you so much for actually listening and I appreciate it way more than you possibly could know. But I’m so sorry if it bothers you..
But I hope you stay strong and find what ever happiness that your looking for in your life bcuz everyone deserves happiness
(Unless that person is a piece of shit that abuses or takes advantage of people sexually or verbally or physically of course.. than at that point those type of people only deserve the worst type of misery and pain)
Much love and Respect sent your way🙏🏻 but if you do for what ever reason happen to read it this far if you can please comment or atleast just like this comment or something🙂 Thanks!
Have a Great Day or Night, what ever time of day it is were your from When Ever Or If Ever you read this comment and read the whole comment🙂💛
@@michelledaypuyat9768 if you read it correct. Nobody hurt her persay. It was an unfortunate situation that hurt her 💯
Pop punk just doesn't sound like this anymore.. 2020 anyone?!
Emo
@@Shagyamum definitely emo just look at the song title.
probably Cuz it's not pop punk yoo
i've never known wtf to call mayday parade. they call themselves alternative rock, which is super vague. emo as a genre existed as whatever Rites of Spring was doing in the 80s, and turned into screamo i guess. up until recently, growing up during the 90s and 2000s no one classified patd/mcr/etc as emo, because emo was like.. post-punk emotional screaming. idk when we finally decided emo music was what emo-looking kids were listening to. during mayday parade's peak, the 'emo' kids i knew were listening to shit like underoath and hawthorne heights and didn't like mayday parade, and the people listening to pop punk like.. all time low and metro station didn't either. it's always been in a weird place. it was music for me and like 3 other sad losers at my school, lmao
2021!
Spent hours trying to find this song from my little scene kid/emo phase that saved my life multiple times and I happy cried so much when I found it! ♥️ my friend I sadly lost to heroin used to sing this to me every day and it all came rushing back. Thank you Mayday Parade for saving my life so many times that I could even be finding this again at 25❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss! This was probably the way your friend was letting you know they’re still with you as your guardian angel 😔If only this band knew how many people they’ve touched with their music. How many broken hearts they’ve help to mend or memories with friends they’ve been apart of making.
They didn't save your life, you did well on your own. I think it's an important thing to realize.
No entertainer/celebrity/band "saved your life", YOU did.
Music/entertainers help distract you yeah sure, but you're the one who made the decision and put the effort towards changing/improving yourself.
Give yourself the credit you deserve. You're a hero, you saved yourself and you deserve every ounce of credit for being so brave and strong!
same here but I was the h addict glad I'm alive 20 days clean
During this time of quarantine, who are still listening with Mayday Parade's playlist?

Ethan Pena I’m really surprised they never got huge! They make really good music my whole high school listened to them
Travis Wilson what are you talking about that they're not huge. Lol. They are. You may be comparing them with Queen or some other artists/band that's why you can say so. Smh
Well 2020 now mate... Almost :)

I remember when I stumbled across them back in 2007 on MySpace because it was a friend's profile song. I'm with you, all time favorite band! Every song is so poignantly emotional, both in lyrics and the music itself 🎶

Damn, really had to call me out huh?
Back when they had guitar solos...I miss those days.
They've had some since then, especially on their fourth album.
It's lame when bands think we don't want them. It makes me turn away from bands almost instantly when they drop them. It makes songs generic and boring without bringing cool instrumentation in.

Jem Midgley by Panic! At the Disco
BIBASH RAI by paramore
One of the greatest albums of all time!! This came out in 2007 when I was a junior in high school. Damn time flies.
For almost a decade, this song hasn't lost the hit of the first time hearing it
Spent a lot of lonely hours listening to this song. Still gives me chills the same as the first time it captured my mind
Man I still know all the words to all their songs just crazy to me seems like 15 was just yesterday and I'm 26 now. Time flies too fast, appreciate your youth
F e l t t h is. Last I knew I was 13,,, now I'm almost 21. Tf is this
Understandable. I started listening to them when I was 16. 31 now. But only this album , to me anyway, is best. Derrick isn't as good without Jason. Go Radio is Jason's new band (Obviously not a new band now but regardless) and I have to say, it takes top of the list for me
Give it a listen. "I Won't Lie" is a really good one from their first album.
That emo chick from 2010 brought me here
Tarot Hara thought I was the only one lol
@@jay.a8356 same I had to look up the lyrics

I was 15 in 2010. Why is time moving so fast?? 😥😥
This song is about an old friend of Derek's and they were in a band before Mayday. When a few of the guys decided to leave to start Mayday Parade, they got mad at each other because it was a hard time for their friendship.... Their cool now though.
Damaris Salinas wow thanks for explaining that's actually really cool
They're*
Thanks for letting people find out what this song is about.
after all these years the song title finally made sense lmao
Oh my God!! I thought this song was about a girl one of the guys knew, or at least it could have been about some girl.
I play this song to test my heart and finally after 6 years it seems as though a few minor scars have healed. Anyone else do this?
i miss highschool, rocking a fit tee, skinny jeans in a vans shoe.. and of course my 1 sided hair 😁
Omg I was in love with this song in my emo phase... still love it now tho
Emo isn't a phase tho that's like you saying being gay is a phase smh it's a lifestyle
Lol at the 'i miss my emo phase' - you clowns are like 20 y.o. 'Emo' hasnt been a thing for about 10 years.
Never had a emo phase but hey I still enjoy a solid song.....this is actually the song I sing in the shower. 😂😂😂
FYI this song is about 69
I never had an emo phase easier. I'm still emo AF XD
They're harmonies together when belting it out..... ugh. If it didn't give you goosebumps you're honestly the tin man!!
Best song by them idc what anyone says lol
I went to see mayday parade last friday and this is their last song and it hit me so hard.

Jake Dunn Hands down is also a great song.
This is not only the best song on the record, but their best song ever.
Jake Dunn NO! MISERABLE AT BEST ISSSS
I don’t want to disagree with you because every single song on this record is perfect
many years into adulthood i find myself coming back to these songs from this time.
So nostalgic. I miss these times.
fuck i miss highschool, imagine how young i am when this song came out, now im 26 years old and have my own family.. i miss this era of music (in tears)
Yeah! Missed those times tht we're free to decide where to go., some of us chose to be in the wrong place which they didnt know it is , and some are in the ryt place ., im 26 and hve my own family before .,
I was born in 04, but I always thought my teen years would be so cool, scene kids, doing so many cool things bc people seemed to be a lot less judgmental back then, im sure there were still people tho. you guys were so cool and so many kids still look up to you people.
Shit, I just turned 26 on mother's day and still trying to find my girl

2024?❤
I remember listening to this song when I was younger! Nostalgia is one heck of a drug ❤
-"Rawr!"
-"Ish a Dinosaur"
-Having this song as "our song" with every person that you date throughout the year
-Seeing someone with bangs and falling in love
-Everyone was somehow a "drummer"
-Facebook and Myspace were your escapes
-Facebook bio: "Went to: Emo University"
-You either loved or hated some lead singers from other bands with a passion
-"This girl is the one for me" every first week of dating some girl over the internet
-You see another emo in person, you don't know how to approach them. They end up like a rival to you until you suddenly talk and become best friends.
-Facebook groups were the sweetest thing
AAA THIS IS SO ACCURATE
Everybody knows dinosaurs go Raaawwrr!!!
Missed my emo side 8 yrs ago...who's still listening in 2020?
Try 2023
Im here in 2045 still listenin
never gets old
anyone? 2023
Saw MP at Hershey last week. No it doesn't get old.
I was too chubby and ugly to wear the emo gear.. Never had the right hair type either (thick and curly, now bald at 27). I had to admire the emo/scene kids from afar when I was in high school, wishing I could be like them. I was basically a drifter in high school, the kid everyone knew but didn't know well. Ahh the good old days of high school 2007-2011.
I'm still Emo by heart up till now.
Who is Virgil?
I remember playing this song in the car driving to Tybee Beach with my lover, Tanya K. She had never heard it and remarked that it "sounded like a sweet, sad song for a breakup". Little did she know how much that would mean only a few short months later. Miss You TK, think about you all the time.
Friendships end 🎉😢
Whoever didn’t try it yet.
Listen to this song at 1.5x speed and you get the biggest banger pop-punk tune youve heard all year.
Thank me later 😉
So was this remixed and reproduced or...? I' m a bit confused so
ye, it was remixed and mastered so that the instrumentals sound better and newer c:
Thank you! That's what I was hoping for! Wouldn't want Jason's voice to just disappear.
Currently going through this songs meaning.
It fucking blows.
All you want to do is die and not do shit with anything anymore, literally makes you give up.
I seriously think albums like this one and Go Radio's Close the Distance should start a new trend of older albums making a comeback and becoming chart topping albums. Even though both of those bands had a sizeable following they were still MASSIVELY underrated by the industry as a whole. This could have been a #1 hit along with probably 3 or 4 other tracks on the same damn album.
Even all these years later this is still one of my favorite albums of all time. People used to go nuts when my band would cover Jamie All Over as an encore. Mayday should have been 10 or 20x bigger than they are. Go Radio too.
This song reminds me of my late friend. We started doing heroin together and he died a few years after I got clean and moved out of state. I was so mad at him for still using after we promised we wouldn’t anymore. I lost contact with him and I found out from his dad that he passed in 2019. I hate this song and love it at the same time.
mannn :( i miss thus
I'm going to see them live, I'M SO HAPPY AND EXITED :D 😍
