I've been watching lots of bl movies and drama.. but this one is the best i think. Their characters feel alive. Its not rushing and not too slow.. we can feel the character development.. and you can also relate things like, their lifestyle, whereby the scanes show them studying. Not just looks 'like studying' . Sometimes i do thinking when i watch other movies or drama, its said the character working or as a student.. but, there's nothing about studying/working.. when they're gonna study/work.. till the end of story its just about the character journey of love. Hahahha.. i mean no offense.. some people do like it i think. Personally, i just thinks it boring if things happen with so many absence/loop.. or, maybe I'm a bit into detail things..
i agree about this and not just for film/tv, books too! i feel more immersed when i see that they exist in the real world. they go to school/work and have real obligations, they have parents and siblings who are always around, their friends have lives separate from them, etc etc. not like the whole world and side characters revolve around their romance/story and they only exist when needed for the plot. in ITSAY they feel like real people who could exist right now. i appreciate stories that don't have all this as well but i think this is more special.
