‘Copy A Little More’: P Chidambaram Critiques Union Budget Released By Finance Minister Sitharaman

- Senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram in his speech in the Rajya Sabha on the recently released Union Budget took a jibe at the ruling BJP and said that the employment scheme announced by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was copied from the Congress Manifesto. Mr. Chidambaram, jokingly asked the Bharatiya Janata Party to “copy a little more” policies from the Congress manifesto and assured that they’ll receive support from the Congress Party for the same.

Sir Chidam former FM, thank you so much for your clear cut speech and a very good english speaking. I think in this session, the Parliamentarians are quite disciplined and behaving well unlike the other sessions, yes they should as they are not a play school kids. Our whole Country is looking upto them and listening to each and every word uttering from their mouth so they should behave the way they should behave.

Former financer minister Mr. Chidambaram analysed the budget systematically some of his points may be relvent to inflation & deflation, choosing some industrial groups& taxation reliefs& agricultural produces marketing rates. This type debate is required in oppositions. So that people can listen patiently& understand the importance of parliament.

I agree copying is encouraged and restricted to the honorable house. I would not encourage more copying as there is an unwritten Congress manifesto that encouraged scams and very conveniently turned a blind eye.
