*It made the metal cutting go very smooth with the right kind of blade **MyBest.Tools** I didn't use the blades that came with it though. I had a bit of trouble with the guard, but besides that it is a great tool.*
Everything you need to know and a demo in under 4min.
Perfect vid, been wanting to buy one of these for a while now.
Best video out there for this piece, and you covered the only difference between this one and the paddle switch one which is exactly that.
I was looking all over to see how to install the guard...thanks again...
Good review thanks. I just got one and is a beast.
I like that new tool less retainer nut. That looks slick. Especially. since I have been using Milwaukee grinders for 20+ years and never seen that, and I never use the normally provided spanner wrench to tighten anyways (5" tools and below) as I can rarely find it when I need it. But sometimes the discs do come loose when just using your hand on the wheel to tighten and this should solve all that.
in the hands of a skilled welder or mentor... THINK IM' GETTING ONE
Nicely done and edited video! One minor note the disc was probably upside down. All the ones that I own give a direction on the spin. If installed right side up, it's supposed to make them cut better and last longer. I personally never have tested this but it's worth noting.
Lol Your right it was on upside down and I havenet put the disc on like that since. Thanks for watching

THAT IS WORTH IT'S WAIT IN GOLD .👍👍👍
To get the maximum power you really need either the 8.0ah or 12.0ah High Output batteries.
Na 6 gets the job done as well
It is only necessary to use 8A or 12A batteries if you want to match the claim on the packaging, in this case 13A corded performance.
Great video, to the point and informative. Oh wait, it's Barricade Garage, of course it's a great video.
Barricade garage in my feed for the first time in a year. And it's this video from 3 years ago. Probably bc I bought this grinder a week ago. About to go to his page and see what I've missed since then.😉
Oh yeah, first week impressions of this grinder. So far this week I've used to clean and prep 12" torch cut I beam, coped 4x1/2” square tubing, and back grinding ss flux on API tanks. I keep 3 6ah batteries in rotation off 1 charger and that lasts an 8- 10 hr shift. It's leagues above any 5" corded grinder I've used. Lightweight and anti vibration handle. Braking is actually decent, not weird. Good stuff if you need a fr big boy grinder.
The 12ah battery is a must have for this fuel. This thing will overheat smaller batteries quick. And chew up a 8ah battery like it was Cp 2.0.... Other than that it's a pleasure to use especially with 6" accessories!
Good to know
Acme Tools? You're not a coyote! ;o)
Has anyone had the locking switch plastic wear out to where it won’t stay locked in the on position?
how much battery was left after that cut on a full charge?
is it safe/possible to use the guard from the 6" model on the 4 1/2 model?
Does it fit?
i would expect it probably fits easy enough to find goto a store that displays the 6" and just ask to try the guard on yours order one if it fits... theyll probably want 40$ or more for it but im not sure... before ppl start saying its unsafe and the disk will explode it wont and its fine milwuakees 5" fuel only spins 8500rpm well within most if not all 6" disks limits
will certainly be lacking in power when the disk is full size but youll pick up some depth of cut and maybe save some money on disks
Type 1 disc with Type 27 guard...hmm. Well, everyone does it.
I don't think Milwaukee makes a Type 1 guard for that 6 inch grinder. If they do, I can't find it and I've looked everywhere.
Get on the ball and get the Dewalt flex volt and do a comparison before anyone else!!!
If I was sponsored I would but I cant justify buying two grinders.
BARRICADE GARAGE just sell it on eBay as a demo unit once you’re done with it. You could easily get 90% of its value back, and I am quite positive there’s a bunch of metal workers like me dying for a video like that. My coworker has a yellow one, honestly I’m thinking about buying the red one since I’m sure a video like that would be a hit
@@justinmartin8887 ok, also check out my quick cutting demo using this grinder. Im not sure if its the 12.0 battery or what but this beast has alot kick...

Hows it compared to dewalt flex volt?
Havent used the dewalt yet but this m18 is a beast! Check out my cutting demo..

I have both the flex and paddle 6" m18. The Milwaukee last longer on my HO6.0 vs my 6.0 flex batteries. My flex is smaller body I use it alot but only because work purchased it. Milwaukee is my personal so it's in truck I use it in the shop.
Power = both but milwaukee has more torque dosen't pinch as fast as the flex
Flex stops hair faster
Flex is smaller
Milwaukee feels stronger personally
Flex is fast eats batteries but is also great grinder and if your in the flex line of battery packs get bare tool flex for alot less than the milwaukee bare tool.
But same goes for m18 line up if your a m18 owner get it.
I love them both but milwaukee I'll grab for first unless I'm in some nastiness at work then I just grab the flex let it eat.
Oh yeah flex lock nut SUCKS !!!!
M18 lock nut is great !!!
Yes m18 6" feels like a corded grinder it's great so dose the flex but changing disc on flex sometimes needs help of other tools to remove nut
@@mlarson3107 thanks for sharing
In my opinion flex gen 1 is the best cordless tool ever. Realise this person compared a 18650 cell to a 21700. The 6 flex keeps the price low and ultra fast charging. But u need a 9 flex . What you will discover is the flex never quits at 60v.. Milwaukee not only trips out on high heat... it's very likely to destroy batteries. Even a 12 amph. This is because it's 18v. Will have a higher amp draw. It will also require lots of management at the charger. Super charger not supplied in kit. Flex better charge time and no fuss. The spindle nut is tool free also not a problem for me. Flex has the best ergonomics by far.
On 5a battery , it's work?
Yes
Worth mentioning though that it drains the 5ah batteries quite fast.
You’re gonna hurt yourself with that
Hopefully your truck doesn't have a fuel leak! LOL
How the fuck do you have a video for this. I was searching reviews for this and somehow your video starts playing while I'm off doing something else. I think that voice sounds familiar. Look at the title and it's YOU! Mindfuck
Edit: would you still recommend this after a year of ownership? I'm considering getting one for around $160-$180
First time using a grinder 🤣
Looks like that was your first time ever using the grinder to. Embarrassing
Thanks for watching
I have never heard a crip speak about a grinder before
Put that on my yankee hat I'm a gangsta crip fuck gangsta rap
You never cut with or use the top of the grinder that’s why you were so jumpy and had a hard time cutting straight learn how to use the tool before making a video about it.
Thanks
@@barricadegarage5361 that guy comes off as an asshole.. but he is right swing the guard all the way to the left where the handle is and cut with the right side of the disk, that way it pulls the grinder away from you and up out of the cut, if you use the top or left of the disk it trys to pull itself towards you and into the cut which jams it up makes it hard to control
Some applications/positions require you to cut that way, granted he could've positioned the guard at a 45 instead and cut down, but I believe he was trying to make a straight cut down which is easier to do by using the top. No need to be a dick.
You got some girly looking hands bro. Looks like you type on a computer all day for work.
Im a fleet mechanic but thanks for noticing I have good hands
