I remember sitting in grade school class that was next to hwy 151 in Waupun WI and a cracker box would scream by every day about the same time, I looked forward to that every day. My all time favorite was a 4070A Transtar also with a Detroit, a red one pulling a matching Wilson livestock trailer would go past my house a couple of times every day. I fell in love with that truck and trucking. Thank you.

Love to hear those iconic memories! My 6-8th grade school was beside Interstate 90 at the Pa. line and every day at recess me and friend stood at the fence giving the "Trucker arm honk" to all those sweet rigs passing by. Thats what this channel is all about. Thanks for watching!

I am so glad I found this channel. Several of those trucks in that yard brought up some kind of memory. I started full time driving January 1974 retired May 1st 2017. I subscribed to your channel couple weeks ago I have backtracked and watched all of your videos. I have always loved trucks my grandpa was a truck driver all of his life I used to ride with him every chance I got. His favorite truck was a 1960 International I don't know the model of the truck but it had a stub front end and dual headlights with a 220 Cummins and a 10-speed Road Ranger. I remember trying to record the sound of that truck pulling a steep hill with a little toy tape recorder. He always rolled his own cigarettes used Prince Albert tobacco when we were stopped he would roll up two or three and lay them in the floor of the cab. Years later he would come and ride with me we had a little nicer trucks and more power but the same amount of fun together. Now here I sit in my recliner with tears in my eyes and great memories in my heart. I love your channel keep up the great work.

Man seeing those old trucks brings so many good memories that was the days when one man's truck broke down every one would come and get it back on the road like my dad was getting ready to go out and he started to pull out and herd something popping so he called a friend now we live ky and he lives in Florida so gets in his truck head's this way daddy thinks he has a rearend out so when he gets here he walks around the truck and looks down and all it was a dam wheel slipping and that is how it was back then 😅

The cracker box green paint is GM coach and truck division, standard green for interior color. You will also find this in transit and highway coaches. The step van pickup thing, could be a Frito lay they did use some fifth wheel trailers using a step van as a toter. And I like seeing those auto cars I remember those as a kid my grandmother worked for a trucking company in my hometown. Great video!

Drove one of those 2 story ford cabovers for CCX it was a old CF tractor you could look out the back glass and not even see the rear axle it was a extra tractor got it one night in Columbus when left one of our L9000 for service wow what a ride lol. Loved that 4070 Eagle one of the fastest trucks I got to drive was a 4070 400 Cummins 13 double over 3.70 rears. Ive got a factory grill guard for one of those old Autocars. And those white steering wheels they just dont build trucks like that anymore loved to mash that right foot down and watch two big black ropes of exhaust come out those stacks

My first trucking job from 1977 to 1990 was an all Ford fleet so they bring back memories. The LNs were our city trucks and the CL 9000's were our linehaul trucks and we had some F series as well, plus a few C series tilt cabs until about 1983.
Looks like this guy has a goldmine in vintage trucks in original condition. A restorer's dream. The Transtar at 3:12 is drop dead gorgeous & looks like it needs very little.
The odd looking one with the Ford drivettrain is that---a Ford. I recognize the 1956-up steering wheel. Possibly an old milk delivery truck at one time.

We used to own a couple of foundries and at several of them we had some of those old cab over tractors. We just used them to haul around finished castings from the part of the plants we did the pouring to the grinding building then from there to be picked up at the shipping dock for heat treating by a company that provided us that service. No way were they road worthy anymore but for our purposes they did fine. We had a couple GMCs and Internationals. I liked that we had some IHs because many of my family once worked at the Harvester plants in Springfield, Ohio.

Porter greetings! 🤩 This is my second time watching this video. Thanks for the walk around on these. I love a single axle cabover! 🥰 I’m not much of a day cab lover, but it’s still a cabover! 🥰 I really loved that Crackerbox! 🥰 Now I’m not a green lover, but it’s a good looking rig…and a tandem axle to boot! So that was not a Grummand potato chip truck? I saw plenty of those back in the day! That last Crackerbox would look great on a lowered frame…they’re still tall and lean! The Ford N model was a great looking toter truck! I loved that body style. Ford made some really good looking trucks back in the day! See, I told you I had it bad! Old quote…”You can take the man out of truck, but you can’t take the truck out of the man!” How true!!!🥰🇺🇸🤩✌️

They moved a lot of super loads in the day all over the country. They sit on the fence row now. They are great running trucks but haven't been started in years. They were when parked.
