My daughter works as an attorney for children. These horrific things happen everyday in every city, state, and country around the world. It often happens in homes of those you would least expect. It's unreal how many children suffer.

That's absolutely shocking, me and my siblings were horrifically abused as children too, I am nearly 63 and still suffering from depression anxiety sleepless nights and PTSD thanks to my parents and social services and the police and they school teachers who all let us down.
My parent was the gateway to my SA. 4 adult males from age 5/6 to 17 when quit school and moved out. It took me until I was 22 & had my own daughter to say anything and until my 30’s to truly heal. 45 now and I share my experience openly and honestly without reservations. I do this in hopes of being a guiding light to others. You are not alone. You can survive this. You have help and support to become a whole person again.
My situation is different but I was 39 and at 46 I've made years of progress, it's just interesting that 35-40 seems to be THE age we decide to start healing.
I was 8ish i think. To about 14/15.... i couldn't tell my mother until late 20s she couldnt understand and didnt help me at all...i finally had a breakdown in my 50s, stress at work... and while having therapy, i started talking about my sexual abuse, at 60.. i finally have some peace!! Confirmed my suspicions, most parents can't be trusted. Mine couldn't. I realized my parents were incompetent by the time I was 7 years old. Look, it wasn't all bad, which made it frustrating. If you think your kids won't figure out how weird you are, you already lost the game. You owe that kid you dropped your best effort up front. If you can't do the job, then, dammit, get someone who can! Your conceit, that you are the ONLY one in the universe who can teach them anything, will fail you very soon. There are plenty of parents out there that truly love their children and would do anything to make sure they are ok. My parents were and still are the kind of parents that did everything they could to make sure my siblings and I grew up to be good and well rounded adults. They sacrificed a lot to make sure we all had a good childhood. I am a parent myself and I and my husband have done everything we can for our son to help his not only have a good childhood but to help him grow into a well rounded adult.
I agree. I learned how to be a better person by how good they were at neglecting me, creating insecurities in me & being the the first persons in my life to point out my overweight body. Literally, looking back, no one said my weight was going to hinder my life, except my father. Placing me on fad diets but simultaneously not allowing me to partake in sports or go to high school, placing me in homeschool. All because he was a religious weirdo. That girls can't wear shorts or workout clothes. His unrealistic expectations of me and devotion to religion got in the way of treating me at least halfway decent, got in the way. I was always talked down to or talked to in a way as though I'm being purposely stupid (like I knew already everything & he was rudely reminding me) to spite him and his authority versus the reality that I was 13, secluded to myself because of homeschool and immature due to negligence to raise me and show me anything. Apparently chasing his fake dreams of being a television Evangelist & business owner trumped my needing direction as a teenager. I was made fun of by him if I cried, I was openly discouraged by him from wanting to go to college (he had the money, but I was not on his list of things to pay for). Hell, he never wanted to buy me new clothes, and didn't! There was constant financial abuse. At one point he had tons of money but I slept on a cot. I had to sift through used clothes that were donated to our thrift store. My room was pieced together through going through donations. My childhood was the most abnormal shit and it was all because it was about him and only what he wanted. So I do the complete polar opposite with my daughter. The hugs and kisses I was denied, she gets them whether she wants to or not. All the private conversations I wanted, she gets them with an understanding ear. She receives every one of them and I let her cry. The little Five Below shopping sprees, the special Panera bread lunches, the sleepovers I secretly cried about at night, wanting to be allowed a friend, she gets those too. When he died. I didn't cry one tear. That was 10 years ago and I still have not. No he never hit me or beat me up, he just chose over and over again not to love me. So I give my daughter everything I didn't get.

This woman's story of survival is incredible. Her captors tortured her almost to the point of death and one of them took pity on her and rescued her from what was to be her imminent death. It took her many year's to learn to love herself, heal and persevere in order to share her story. She never named her abusers. It would've cost her, her life in doing so. Her abusers were very powerful. They have since passed. She takes solace in the fact that she's helping other's with what they've endured and assisting them in healing. She's a remarkable woman and she's bringing a sense of awareness and healing to those whom have survived sexual assault.
She needs to tell who did this to her. They may be dead, but I'm sure this stuff has been passed down family member to family member for generations. It's time to bring these demons down.

One time ( I was 8 years old) I was being assaulted in the back of a car in a parking lot with a grown man outside pleasuring himself. When he looked in I thought he’d help me. My cousin, who just won an award for directing a documentary, sold me for $25 when I was 9 years old to 3 teens. To do with as they wanted. At 12 my mom was divorced from my dad ( who had been working 2 full time jobs to support all of us) so she went to a party where she knew a pedo would be and pretty much offered me up as a present if he’d support her. He complied and soon I had 3 constant abusers and another person my mom attacked me for “seducing”. That man, when he died, left her a million dollars. Can’t help but feel I deserve some of that money for being the fringe benefits of her arrangement with him. And now she has a handsome man with a mansion in the Vegas area. And I live in a basement and bathe out of a sink. My life from 6 to 19 was abuse of any kind you could imagine. Sexual, physical, mental and emotional. I’ve attempted suicide twice in my life. But now I have 5 beautiful grown children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. And I thank God for those blessings.

My baby boy is the biggest part of me. He is the one that every time I see him personally or talk on the phone, my pain and hurt from losing my daddy and extra mom goes away for a few moments because he is my very best remedy ( after Jesus ). I don't see him every day now that he got all big and grown on me. If something happened to him, I would completely die, as he is my only baby. I got nieces and nephews, but not nearly the same as they are blessed to have parents. But they are my extra babies. There are so many who would give the world to birth a child, or even adopt, or both, to give all their love to them and experience the milestones and rewards that come with it, and there are parents that do stuff like this? Edit: My son's girlfriend is my baby girl who I adopted in my heart and is just as big of a part of me and as much of a remedy for my beyond broken heart over my daddy and extra mom as my son is. So forbid something happen to her, it would break me as much as if something happened to my son.

Jesus Christ is pure love if we had him in in our lives the true meaning of his love the world would be much different place. This is what happens when you allow evil in and you don’t obey his law. That's absolutely shocking, me and my siblings were horrifically abused as children too, I am nearly 63 and still suffering from depression anxiety sleepless nights and PTSD thanks to my parents and social services and the police and they school teachers who all let us down.

To about 14/15.... i couldn't tell my mother until late 20s she couldnt understand and didnt help me at all...i finally had a breakdown in my 50s, stress at work... and while having therapy, i started talking about my sexual abuse, at 60.. i finally have some peace!! There are plenty of parents out there that truly love their children and would do anything to make sure they are ok. My parents were and still are the kind of parents that did everything they could to make sure my siblings and I grew up to be good and well rounded adults. They sacrificed a lot to make sure we all had a good childhood. I am a parent myself and I and my husband have done everything we can for our son to help his not only have a good childhood but to help him grow into a well rounded adult.

I agree. I learned how to be a better person by how good they were at neglecting me, creating insecurities in me & being the the first persons in my life to point out my overweight body. Literally, looking back, no one said my weight was going to hinder my life, except my father. Placing me on fad diets but simultaneously not allowing me to partake in sports or go to high school, placing me in homeschool. All because he was a religious weirdo. That girls can't wear shorts or workout clothes. His unrealistic expectations of me and devotion to religion got in the way of treating me at least halfway decent, got in the way. I was always talked down to or talked to in a way as though I'm being purposely stupid (like I knew already everything & he was rudely reminding me) to spite him and his authority versus the reality that I was 13, secluded to myself because of homeschool and immature due to negligence to raise me and show me anything. Apparently chasing his fake dreams of being a television Evangelist & business owner trumped my needing direction as a teenager. I was made fun of by him if I cried, I was openly discouraged by him from wanting to go to college (he had the money, but I was not on his list of things to pay for). Hell, he never wanted to buy me new clothes, and didn't! There was constant financial abuse. At one point he had tons of money but I slept on a cot. I had to sift through used clothes that were donated to our thrift store. My room was pieced together through going through donations. My childhood was the most abnormal shit and it was all because it was about him and only what he wanted. So I do the complete polar opposite with my daughter. The hugs and kisses I was denied, she gets them whether she wants to or not. All the private conversations I wanted, she gets them with an understanding ear. She receives every one of them and I let her cry. The little Five Below shopping sprees, the special Panera bread lunches, the sleepovers I secretly cried about at night, wanting to be allowed a friend, she gets those too. When he died. I didn't cry one tear. That was 10 years ago and I still have not. No he never hit me or beat me up, he just chose over and over again not to love me. So I give my daughter everything I didn't get.

This woman's story of survival is incredible. Her captors tortured her almost to the point of death and one of them took pity on her and rescued her from what was to be her imminent death. It took her many year's to learn to love herself, heal and persevere in order to share her story. She never named her abusers. It would've cost her, her life in doing so. Her abusers were very powerful. They have since passed. She takes solace in the fact that she's helping other's with what they've endured and assisting them in healing. She's a remarkable woman and she's bringing a sense of awareness and healing to those whom have survived sexual assault.
She needs to tell who did this to her. They may be dead, but I'm sure this stuff has been passed down family member to family member for generations. It's time to bring these demons down.

I'm trying to find the information where she shares her whole story and the reasons why she remains silent. She does give clues. I believe I've found one of her perpetrators. He was a poet laureate if I'm not mistaken in 1971. Late 60's early 70's. I'll have to look it up again. It's been awhile. Let me see if I can find that info for you and you can watch it and come to your own conclusions on how you feel about it.

A lit of comments from people made remarks about old tales of witches in the woods, eating children. So many old fairy tales are based on this. Makes many wonder. Also, one guy said in Belgium there were forest that they were forbidden to go in by there parents.
I am so sorry for you and the trauma of your childhood, I had a bad experience myself as a child but I am 70 now, my heart goes out to you. I was 6 ( maybe 5) when my sexual abuse started as well. And my mom said it was all my fault and it would stop when I stopped turning males on.
One time ( I was 8 years old) I was being assaulted in the back of a car in a parking lot with a grown man outside pleasuring himself. When he looked in I thought he’d help me.
My cousin, who just won an award for directing a documentary, sold me for $25 when I was 9 years old to 3 teens. To do with as they wanted.
At 12 my mom was divorced from my dad ( who had been working 2 full time jobs to support all of us) so she went to a party where she knew a pedo would be and pretty much offered me up as a present if he’d support her. He complied and soon I had 3 constant abusers and another person my mom attacked me for “seducing”.
That man, when he died, left her a million dollars. Can’t help but feel I deserve some of that money for being the fringe benefits of her arrangement with him. And now she has a handsome man with a mansion in the Vegas area. And I live in a basement and bathe out of a sink.
My life from 6 to 19 was abuse of any kind you could imagine. Sexual, physical, mental and emotional.
I’ve attempted suicide twice in my life.
But now I have 5 beautiful grown children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. And I thank God for those blessings.

The 1st plague was turning the Nile into blood. The last plague took the 1st born male child. The Hebrew families put lambs blood on their doorways. And the death angel knew to pass over their home. He will deal with these kinds of situations. Jesus himself said it would be better to have a millstone tied around them and be thrown into the sea than to harm a child. We have to wait on him, but it's coming.

I do not have children but I can't imagine how you could not care for your kids, love them and protect them.
My baby boy is the biggest part of me. He is the one that every time I see him personally or talk on the phone, my pain and hurt from losing my daddy and extra mom goes away for a few moments because he is my very best remedy ( after Jesus ). I don't see him every day now that he got all big and grown on me. If something happened to him, I would completely die, as he is my only baby. I got nieces and nephews, but not nearly the same as they are blessed to have parents. But they are my extra babies.
There are so many who would give the world to birth a child, or even adopt, or both, to give all their love to them and experience the milestones and rewards that come with it, and there are parents that do stuff like this?
Edit: My son's girlfriend is my baby girl who I adopted in my heart and is just as big of a part of me and as much of a remedy for my beyond broken heart over my daddy and extra mom as my son is. So forbid something happen to her, it would break me as much as if something happened to my son.
Some pooples just get busy with nothing in the first place to protect them.
Some intentionally breeds to make use of the offspring that's not uncommon to be yet another busy-breedy toys, there's recently one of this case discovered by the locals and police where I currently reside, covered in every news outlet as this is written.
Basically for these latter type, other humans' lives are of no difference to cattles, that in itself should be applicable exclusively to such of themselves.
