I just received this tank and it is pretty nice. Of course the stock plastic is just bare grey plastic and toy-like. I have been busy "battle-damaging" and roughing -up the plastic. With work, this is going to look really good.
I really do like your vid and appreciate your opinion. in a couple of months ill be able to get a heng long tank and I'm caught between getting the "tiger " and the "m4a3 sherman"...I'm completely new to all things rc but I'm very interested in these tanks....now taking one apart and painting it and putting it all back together seems easy enough but I fear when I buy one of these tanks that if something is wrong with it electrically I'm worried I won't be able to fix it and it will break and be a waste of money...i can do maintenence like loose screws ect but I don't know how to solder or even work with many electronics...
It's going to come apart again to receive it's final paint in the next month or two. I'll post a video of the insides. The biggest thing is to label the wires where they go. It's really pretty simple even though it looks a little intimidating at first. It also pays to take pictures. Which ever one you pick if you can afford the the metal upgrades go for that.
Don't worry if you didn't mess it up it has around a one or two year varanty. Also these tanks aren't that fragile. Not much stuff to mess up. Just don't do smoke when its empty. Use small amount of smoke oil. If you grind the gears in the turret that when rotating try to not do that too much. And you should be good then.
the recoil is right you just need to upgrade to barrel recoil the one you have is adjustable track recoil has nothing to do with barrel its to mimic the hull movement when firing
When the barrel is facing left or right and the recoil is front to back that's not right. It's a model so there are things you live with. Over all its a great tank
Felt the same way it's shocking and mine is from 2006 and they still haven't got it right. RECOIL I NEARLY PISSED MY SELF LAUGHING first time j used it and at least yours sounds nicer so many miner but major changes if you get my meaning

6.0 version doesn't have the chassis recoil
Heng long QUALITY control is NON EXISTANT!!! COMPLETE GARBAGE if you plan to run it,Mine are Static display models
