“Legends Never Die” Cali Nate’s Memorial No Prep Event @Thunder Valley Raceway

It was a hot and breezy Sunday
After a 4 hr drive I was welcomed to many friends and family of Nate’s. It was a warm welcoming as a soothing calm was in the air. We knew he was there in spirit and even gave black mamba some trouble starting his car when going up against Nate’s “my lil pony”. I smiled knowing it wasn’t a random but a small sign Nate was still with us watching. As he would want he wanted the race to be legit and as competitive as any other.
Black Mamba took the win on the backside thunder valley no prep. Half went to Nate’s family including his loved one Courtney. And half went to the pot. The spectators walked in free and donations were given.
As much as I wanted to get interviews of people talking about how much they missed him it was kinda like he was never gone. For those quick rounds and seeing his FoxBody line up it was peaceful to know he went doing what he loved up to his last moment.
As media you do see names come and go. But in all we do know there’s some special ones that are different then the rest. And truly the spirit of Nate was that of a true racer.
Whatever that might mean to you it inspired me and countless others to fight for the win no matter what.
