UA-cam decided I'd be interested in your content and here I am binge watching film after film in the middle of the night. What an inspiration, you're a legend mate. Been to Norway three times and I feel like I've wasted three great opportunities not taking my bike with me and just driving around sightseeing. Not gonna waste one next time.

Krzysztof, you're a legend for writing that! Appreciate it! I've also driven around Norway and done the 'classic' road trips. It was only when I started cycling that I realised what a crime it is to drive these roads! You feel completely connected to nature on a bike! The journey becomes the destination and every moment is special. Good to hear you'll be taking your bike next time! Safe travels!

@@matthewnorway thanks mate, safe travels to you too. Keep on riding and inspiring! Would write more but there's no time, need to watch more of your cycling films :)
Just btw, you seem to have little to no flats while riding vast distances. How do you achieve that? Not filming them? Magic?

Too many vids on UA-cam of people comparing this bike to that, this groupset to the other or shreddy MTB edits - it's such a breath of fresh air to watch someone celebrate the pure joy of moving through beautiful places on two wheels. You nail the romance and poetry of it. Cycling Norway is on my bucket list now! I'm not normally a roadie - I prefer gravel and MTB - but who cares what surface you're on when this is your backdrop. Stunning scenery and epic videos - thanks so much for sharing it with us!

Hello! Your fantasticly wonderful videos turned up just recently in my YT, and I have been on a binge watching almost all of them in a few days and nights! And I love it!
As a norwegian born and raised in the Ålesund area, you are making me proud of my childhood landscape. (Little did we know about all those grey foggy boaring fjords and mountains was such a wow)
Ålesund was all grey when I grew up there in the 1970ties
Looking forward to your next vlogs

Botnen Camping, Sognefjord. I recognised it immediately. I might only have been there one night (on the way back from Kirkenes, to the Bergen-Newcastle ferry) but it was such a spectacular view, I've looked up my photos just now, that I won't forget it. And the sunset was in the same position as in your video, so it must have been about the same time of year (or equally spaced before the solstice).
July 14th 2006. And if only there were a ferry now, I'd be back in a flash. Maybe this time with my e-bike... hmm.

I totally agree with you Alex. That's why I set up the channel. Norway is incredibly beautiful to cycle around but there is so little info out there. People need to be aware of the dangerous roads and tunnels. As a result, I'm currently creating a website with all my routes and important info that will allow people to enjoy Norway without the dangers that I and yourself have had to experience first hand and learnt from. What a series of great vlogs you make - and I totally agree about Norway beeing a top biketouring destination! I have a tour that I each summer makes longer. So far it’s from Rome to Bergen, and from Geilo to Bergen it almost exactly followed your route. (I also hated the tunnels and Death Road 7). This summer I want to continue from Bergen to Trondheim, but want more mountains than Nasjonal Sykelrute 1 - so this looks ABSOLUTELY PERFECT to me!
Three questions - what’s your website (detailed route).
Was it a DJI mavic mini drone you lost, and will you get another similar again?
I use my iPhone for navigation, and I might upgrade to some kind of Garmin. Recommendations?
Keep up the good work - and let’s hope the world opens up again soon!

Hi Mark, thanks for your feedback.
      1) website I’m currently building I will be advertising it on this channel once it’s available.
      2) Yes, I bought another Magic mini in Ålesund. It’s the only one that fits in my bags.
      3) I use my Garmin for speed, distance and gradient. Mine uses too much battery for navigation and the phone is a lot better anyway. I can’t recommend one, it depends on your budget and requirements. Just search on UA-cam for reviews and advice regarding what to invest in.

The trip will be for about 4 weeks but only about 40ish miles a day I guess. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on a route after Alesund . The ports on the south coast are Stavanger , Kristiansand ,Larvik and Bergen of course. Thanks for any suggestions and I'm in no hurry for an answer.
