    Hi!
I'm Verona, I made the game.
First of all, thanks for showing my game! Awesome!
    A few things:
From the loading screenshot I saw that you are using the SD2IEC version, unfortunately it is still buggy, it tends to crash on the second loading, the normal D64 is the good one.
Pressing the fire button or space when you turn white puts you in rabbit skin. Since the dog's job is to hunt foxes, it doesn't hurt you in this mode. The bar at the bottom of the screen shows how much of this mode (rabbit power) you have left. (You can't stop it once it's activated, it keeps running out)
If you don't have rabbit power, a rabbit icon will sometimes appear on the map, which you can reload if you catch it.
If you run out of time on the clear track, the hunter's crosshairs will also appear.
On the dark map, there is no hunter, no trap and the eggs will appear at once, not just when the map is fully plotted.
You got an extra life in every 100.000 points.
At the end of the game, when you've run out of lives, the fox and the dog do a tango dance, I'm tired of the usual game over subtitles, hence the reason for this.
On the other hand, the debugger captions at the bottom also relate to the lore. As are the weird captions during the game, which are not random!
The code at the bottom of the screen is an encrypted message. There are 6 of them. Deciphering all of them will get you closer to the solution.
It's also worth knowing the prequel, "Who Wants To Be A Bourgeois?" on plus4world.

The game so far consists of these 2 parts with the same lore, with a conclusion in the works.
Till this day, no one can decipher the lore, and no one knows the story. Maybe you will be the first?

Hi Verona, the SD2IEC version worked fine for me. A Joco's STM version would be great. I thought the rabbit was a cow ;)
I also think the outro is very successful and entertaining - something different for a change. Very nicely done.
I've already decoded the message in the video. So I'll have a look in the code ;)
Thanks for the tips and I look forward to more from you.

@@atomlabor More from me on your FB post.
Decoded the code? WOW! In it, there's a new code if you get all 6. There's no randomness in the text.

@@verona007 So far I have only solved the code that you can see here in the video. (Base64). I haven't found all of them yet and to be honest, you have to record it to be able to pick out all 6 parts. I definitely like this idea and implementation. I will also watch Who Wants To Be A Bourgeois?

@@atomlabor If you get the good ending at that game, you will see the starting of the lore. You will need to win in survival mode to the good ending. That's a trivia game, but with hard questions. That was my first assembly game. I was very beginner when I craeted that. No one made a video about that until now. And no one wins if I know right.
(You got 2 codes in the video, the first after the trap comes, the second on the dark level.)
The first contains the hint to get the others)

Oh, and if you download that game, there will be a PDF. That's the game's instructions. (LTIB_eng.pdf) Read that first. It contains instructions about the usage and install of the game too.

Oh, and you can exit from the ending screen with the ESC key.
For every level you complete, the dog gets one level faster, but every death slows it down one level, so you get a kind of dynamic difficulty. If you play better, the dog can speed up a lot, while if you play worse, it slows down. After falling into a trap, it's minus one life and the level resets. Not easy, but very generous with the extra lives. The P button toggles pause mode on/off.
On the first track, it is advisable to go around in a circle first. The dark levels can be learned after a while.
The encrypted messages make it worth recording the game. They are made with one of the most common encodings used by other indie games with lore. The 6 messages were created using this encoding. The word "Blaise" is a reference to another one, but you don't need to use it on those 6 messages at first. Once you decipher the first one, you'll know how to find the others.
