A most impressive work of art! The more I watched it, the more I enjoyed it. One of the essential cornerstones of what makes this work outstanding is the music score: so representative of the emotions expressed by the dance movements, and, just as important, so moving in it's own right, providing an enjoyable listening experience, especially beginning with your solo at about 29.00. And that brings me to your performance: admirable. You have mastered your craft so well. It's a pleasure to watch your movements which so expressively and beautifully represent the magnificent capabilities of the human form. This is art at it's best. Thank you for the efforts you have made to mold your body, mind and heart to an emotional and physical fitness level that makes it all possible.

I understand it's very modern and mood setting, but filming or performing in the dark is never beautiful or necessary. This might have been a lovely work but it fails to impress or entertain me.

Thanks for your feedback. I completely understand. For the first 4mins 30secs of this ballet there was a gauze covering the front of the stage which the lighting designer used to add atmospheric effect for the live audience but this unfortunately didn’t work well with the recording. Admittedly this piece is far more touching seen live but I hope that if nothing else this recording will raise interest in the ballet.

@@XanderParish Mr. Parish I never truly expected that you personally would reply to my comment. I'm impressed and a bit in awe that you have done so.

@@XanderParish I'd like you to know that I did see you dance the "Apollo" at New York City Center just a few years ago. You were magnificent. I can still imagine you as a moody, beautiful god! Since I've mostly been at home the last few months I've been looking you up on UA-cam and have been gratified to see that Mariinsky has (I hope they are official releases) posted several ballets in which you are featured. I recently enjoyed your Giselle and Romeo and Juliet, among others. I will be looking forward to any possible engagements you may have in the U.S. when we return to live audiences. Though I saw you dance in NYC, I primarily see ballet at the Kennedy Center in D.C. Again, I'm really thrilled that you personally took time to respond, it makes me feel like a teenage fan-girl! Thank you and cheers to more beautiful dancing.

Thank you very much for your message! I really appreciate it. I’m glad that you enjoyed Apollo at City Center, I thoroughly enjoyed that tour and actually always love to dance in the US. I hope I’ll have the honour of dancing for you again there sometime soon! Best wishes
