I insist upon my right to be multiple. I insist upon my right to be multiple - even more so, I insist upon the recognition of my multiplicity.
All things encompassed in one
I - I really do insist that others recognize my inherent multiplicity. What I no longer do is take pains to explain it or defend it. That is an exhausting, repetitive, and draining project, to constantly explain and defend one's multiplicity. So I've reached a point where I am aware of my inherent multiplicity. And anyone wishing to meaningfully engage with me or my work must be too. (Must be two.)
I can also also also also and and and
I also like how Moses challenges the idea of singularity by releasing part of his album today and part of it in May.
"Must be too... must be two..."
still thinking about this song years later, it put into words the way I have always felt about myself. I have never found a discussion of this song that genuinely understands it nor cares to. It is infuriating to sit on this with myselves
I am aware of my inherent multiplicity. was prolly the dopest shit I've ever heard in my life. Then the drop after was crazy
We are not flat, one-dimensional beings. We are not what people perceive us. We are not our stereotypes. We are beyond that. We all as human beings have multiplicity.
This reminds me of Solange’s “can i hold the mic” interlude about her being multiple things as well
Love your work man. Please take good care of yourself okay?
MUST BE TWO
fucking incredible, sublime, exquisite artistry ushering the new age. bless the one is multiple, bless the multiple who is one. aum hallelujah
I thought Polly was about a girl who was polyamorous in a monoamourous world, but now I'm beginning to think it's also about the author being several versions of himself in a world that insists on sticking to one version of yourself.
This has that græt noir artsy vibe very David Lynch.
you are an angel Moses. wonderful and personal and together
godly. a year or so later i come back to this
Likely this song was inspired by Giles Deleuze's concept of the multiplicity as laid out the two volumes of Anti-Oedipus.
This was out there, it's dope.
Just wow!
I was created to effortlessly oppose all societal norms
reminds me of sevdaliza
espectacular
The others recognize your multiplicity by being yourself too. Thanks
