Real thankful my family and I got closer during this pandemic. All of us being holed up together under one roof brought out all the good, bad, ugly, etc. but we all grew to understand each other more from it. And EXTRA thankful they’re all in good health. With Asian Americans being targeted for due to COVID, its nerve wracking when your own are out there and could be the victim of someone’s ignorance.

I think one (pretty abstract) thing that I’m thankful for is being able to learn a lot about my feelings this year. It’s crazy how much of our thinking n shit is based in our feelings and I used to be the type of person who didn’t even realise I had feelings. It sounds like an abstract thing but it’s a big thing for me - to be able to see when I’m angry, excited, ashamed, content, etc. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to learn about that this year and I hope I can learn more about how I work throughout the next one too.

I guess the good thing about corona has been having my whole fam back together and my two big sisters back from uni. Hey, sangiev I'm currently watching the part where you talk about not spending time with families. To be honest, my family of 4 lives under the same roof, and I haven't said a single word to them for 4 months. My dad never says hi to me when I enter the home and neither do I. It really does suck and when I have kids I will NEVER neglect them. Why make a family if ya'll ain't going to put an effort to be close? It really sucks :(

Having restrictions in place this year on who you can see and what you can do made me realise the importance of family and as mentioned in the video, having a good relationship with your family is important which I am lucky enough to have as at the end of the day they will be the ones always there for you. With everything going on, I'm glad I was able to reconnect with those I thought had forgotten about me and I managed to spend more time working on my portfolio and landed my first job in a profession I never thought I could break into. Crazy to see how things just keep going even if it feels like time stopped.

Man I'm gonna be honest it was a pretty shitty year but I was finally able to get my ass up and lose some weight haha. I'm only 168cm and started with 91kg this year and now I'm at 78kg which is still a bit too much but I feel way more comfortable man. So the good thing that happened to me is that I found the motivation to simply DO stuff in general. (Losing weight, doing a podcast, streaming and much more.)

It's been a pretty hard year to be honest, getting used to online school and not socializing so much was hard for me. But I learned some things from this experience. I learned that the best thing in my life is my family. I learned that even when times are hard, they will always be with me.I am, and I will always be grateful for that. I'm grateful for having food on my plate on a daily basis, as you mentioned, and for everything that I get. I started to appreciate little things more. I think this year made me a better person overall, it made me see some things that i didnt when life was in a rush everyday. Btw, I'm sorry for my bad english, its not my native language. This year has been pretty sucky and there has been a lot of bad, but in turn has made me more appreciative and grateful for everything in general. One thing I'm thankful for is still being able to work and alleviate some of the stress off my mom. As well as, my mom being able to find a new job during the pandemic. Especially with the climate of COVID in California currently, a lot of people are out of jobs so I am grateful that we are able to continue working.
