Thanks! Yeah definitely need permission there. That airspace is Class E (surface) airspace controlled by KTVL (South Lake Tahoe Airport). Before each flight I requested and obtained LAANC approval to fly from KTVL for the specified local area and duration of flight. Of course I also checked TFR's, NOTAM's, and also the land regulations for each location and timing. There's a lot of paperwork to sort through to fly drones these days, but it's doable for many locations.
