གནའ་སྔ་མོ་གང་བྱུང་བ་དེ་གསང་བ་མེད་པར་བྱུང་ན་ཧ་ལས་རེད་།
The military campaign waged by the Tibetans since 1956 is history of Tibet. It should not be forgotten. However, it also must not be apportioned to one group of people such as ཆུ་བཞི་སྒང་དྲུག་ As Tenzin Sonam and other people from Kham themselves admit that it consisted of people from all three provinces. Therefore, it must retain the name བསྟན་བསྲུང་དྭངས་བླང་དམག་མི་ and not Chushi Gantruk even though it was started by the people of Kham. Only then it will gain traction and resonate with the public of all three cholkhas. The reason why not many seem to be too keen about it is perhaps the emphasis by the people from Kham to make it EXCLUSIVELY THEIR OWN CLUB excluding others from the association. That is the reason many have not shown much interest in the group. The other reason is the Chinese communists have tried to tarnish the reputation of the group by masquerading as Chushi Gangtruk and raped and pillaged villages which created fear and loathing against the group. In some cases, the group may well have involved in such atrocities because it was a rag tag group without much discipline. The Chinese communists used such actions to their benefit by impersonating as Chushi Gangtruk and committed crimes against the local Tibetans in the U-Tsang region. This had a huge impact on many people from U-Tsang who already harboured misconceptions of Khampas as lawless brigands played into their misconceived view and saw it as testimony to their erroneous views. Thats why they remain aloof. The third is so far, the Tibetan struggle is projected as a non-violent struggle under the Dalai Lama’s leadership. So, no one dares to speak or recollect the armed struggle waged by our ancestors. In future it is only natural the armed struggle will re-emerge. When the legacy of the present Dalai Lama is gradually forgotten among the future generations, Tibetans will resort to armed struggle. Remember, the CCP is not going to remain forever. It will become weak or collapse especially if it invades Taiwan in a war with the US and its allies!

If u look at Chushigangdrug army list , this list was listed during fight against ccp. U can look at list on original paper still at Chushigangdrug office at Mt. There one amdo camp with fewest members out of 40 camps there was no fighters on the battle field from utsang. Obviously many utsang pa were involved in transportation, office jobs and so on. There were men from kongpo, but Kongpo was considered as part of khampa.
