Mostly psychological unless they have a lot of infantry to back them up aswell. ATGM's are no joke.
@@richmeisterradio Tanks are becoming more and more irrelevant these days albeit they used to be very useful stuff. Could be used for destroying enemy hardpoints, for cover so you can advance, to protect from shrapnel and bombs, and of course for destroying enemy vehicles and stuff. Pretty good at killing infantry if they are fitted right too.
All big talk till you see a barrel of a tank facing at you. Still you're right atgm are scary too but won't get far when you have infantry support with it too.
I know almost nothing about tanks and military, but holy damn, those things are beautiful to look at. What a marvelous machines.

1:25 that target is about 300m (about 1000 feet) away from the tank and it took the shot about one second to hit. Isnt that way to slow?
yeah, I have no idea what the hell was going on there. I could see it arc too. the gunners use M865 TPCSDS-T training tracers which have a velocity of around 1700m\s. however it is possible they lowered the powder charge quite a bit because it seems that the target was meant to be hit and pop back up again.

abrams is a decent tank but its kinda outdated for todays conflicts(urban conflicts)... i wish that NATO wuld start to train their foces more with urban conflict inmind since this is the future now
i love how russia updated their tanks(like the T90M which is pretymuch the resault of the syrian conflict... better CQB protection and even the tanks angles are made in such a way that they can defeat any threat in that 120 degree frontal radious while NATO tanks cant) with this inmind while nato still focuses on conventional warfare
@Dru Anubis not russian nor an idiot... their tanks are better ... the geometry alone shows that they are way more reliable at surviving hits than NATO tanks... also russia is training their armies with urban combat while NATO doesnt really put alot of resources into that
@Dru Anubis what you just said are accusations ... there is no proof that russia lost T90 tanks ... only a few videos where they are hit and the crew bails out(ofcourse they retrive that tank with minimum damage)...as of right now only one T90a fell into the rebels hands due to the electronics failure and they threw a molotow on it ... later the tank was recaptured and had minimum damage done to it
just becouse i was in the FFL doesnt mean im french... not to mention france is the reason why the allies culd invade europe to begin with(and france didnt lose the first world war nor the second)
my people were under the franks(germans) for over 1200 years and still retained their language... not to mention even if america wuld stay in the pacific war ... germany was allready falling on the eastern front due to the massive onslaught of the red army
T14 never had mechanical issues ... your reffering to the incident that happened in 2014 when the tank was new and the driver acidentally turned on the handbreak and he didnt know how to turn it off.... thats why they culdnt tow it aswell... great example of american media propaganda
russian navy is not outdated infact they are one of the most advanced... they are giving alot of headaches to the american ships in the black sea(naval forces are useless for russia since most of their oceans are frozen solid)
US military tactics are NATO tactics afterall we train together.... not to mention the US army relies on other NATO members for training their troops/units

0 T90 tanks were lost in battle ... maybe they were mistaken for t72 but as of right now there is no t90 tanks in syria that were lost... all of them are still operated by the syrian armed forces... i wuld like sto see some proff of that becouse everything you say is just acusations that are false... and fyi ISIS never captured a t90 tank... by the time russia sent their t90 tanks to syria ISIS was allready gone
@Dru Anubis obviously you cant tell a modern t72 apart from the t90... link me a video where its shown where a t90 gets hit and gets blown up... there is only one picture of a dissmantled t90 tank what was hit by an american missile while it was being stored... the only reason why that t90 was hit is becouse the assad regime didnt store the tank inside... basically they were lazy
and america was lucky that it wasnt in russian hands becouse that wuld be a declaration of war on russia
