I got the stepladder out to take a look at the roof of my Transit Jumbo. Like your other viewer, I discovered some rust. No great surprise, it's a 2008 model and probably never been under shelter since it left its showroom as a new vehicle. This is a question for your rust fixer, I think you need to have him in for a video or two. What should I do? Go down to Bunnings and get some Fertan and follow directions? The end result is protective ferric tannate. Or something else? PS I am pretty unenthusiastic about getting on the roof. It's high and tricky.
Thank you very much! Not on Instagram, so I try it here: What is the best base for a bigger campervan, for example, Crafter, Sprinter, Ducato, Movano,... you have any experience in working with those vans and can tell us pros and cons?
i would say look at Ducato /relay / boxer ( all the same shell ) galvanised body so no rust , most have A/C , cruise , reverse sensors/camera as standard .. and being FWD the medium height has over 6' of headroom .. my work uses 6 ducato's & we trade them after 4 years/200k miles of usually trouble free multi-drop / filled to payload driving
ThanQ so much for what u do for this hobby/passion/field for camper van enthusiasts yep that sounds better! I have just bought a VW T6 panel van and am so excited to get started. I have been researching for a year and your videos have been most helpful, so thanQ again so so much. I will be asking questions soon so watch this space _____ 🙌🏽
i can't afford a regular house fridge for now that will avoid having all those outside vents, but for now with original camper fridge, is there some other way to redirect cool air behind it, because these vents maybe are the place where roaches in sudden ( large) amounts appearing after ive left for even 15min or so and then returned and always inside vent doors and this isolated area inside vents wall behind & right down to the bottom. vent screens will just be cut so..what ( else) can i add or do for now..ps. am going to block and seal them off..no choice there---

I left half my vent open with two Titan fans to come on in extreme heat so as NOT to overtax compressor.
