A superb performance of this exceptional piece. The dark colours of this music come out really nicely.

Hi, Sara! Your playing really inspires me to consider learning how to play viola. 😍
May I know what size of is your viola and how you know if it is the right size for you? Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for a kind comment! My viola is 39.8cm. I had a little bigger one before - 40.5 - was also fine. Now i'm using a 41.5 viola for my vacation, it's playable but this is my limit. I would not keep this size for sure.

Dear Riccardo, this is the last piece of Shostakovich and he couldn't hear it performed, because he died shortly after writing it. This is not a happy piece, this is a farewell with the world. We played it with our heart and after saying good bye to the world we couldn't be "happy". This piece is not for a show. This is about really serious things and i hope you can now understand why we look a bit weird. We were very emotional.

@@SaraKimViola Dear Sara, I know the story behind the piece and I totally agree with what you just said. I was referring to expressing your committment not whitin the piece, but as a sort of result of the relationship achieved between you two. That feeling you have when you've reached something so special with someone else on your side, and tent express it somehow.I say this because I'm a musician too.
Anyways, I apology for my unpoliteness, I respect what for me seemd just a sense of 'shyness'. I was sarcastic.

@@SaraKimViola Thanks very much for explaining the historical context. It's sure relevant for his Fifth and Seventh Symphonies, among other works :). Well played!
