Wanna know something funny I was on a trail ride and my horse started trotting because other horses we8er playing that was the first time I ever trotted
I just figured out my mistake while doing trot. I used my knees for up and down movement and I found trotting so difficult because I felt like I will lose my balance. But now I understand that I should to use my hip :$! Thank you 😩♥️.
I don’t have my own horse but I do have a lessen horse and she is white so I think that pink is the best on her! Also you help me so much with riding! All of the bigginers should know about your Chanel!
This helped so much, I ride western and just started taking English lessons and I was so confused with the vocabulary the trainer uses as well as whenever I was trotting I felt like I was falling on the poor horses neck so much so next week, during my lesson, I will try to remember this. thanks 💕💛
Those terms - I feel they are just crap to make the trainer more confident. Nowadays, there got be some easy terms from basic physics. A simple “rigid body model” should be able explain all. Only fool makes it unnecessarily complex and lose customers. I know, I am upset after watching those crap terminologies.
As I'm learning and getting better at my posting when I get home, I watch this and some of your videos, and I close my eyes and imagine what I did at horse riding. After watching your videos, I'm way better and nearly ready to canter! Thank you, and keep doing these videos they are so helpful to me, and I'm sure other people are too! ❤
Had the best second lesson today because of your video. My instructor was so amazed because you taught me how to use my hips instead of using my calves, knees, thighs and glute. I was raising trot so easily after watching your video. Thank you🙏🙏❤️
I've owned horses and have ridden for many years. I currently have an Appendix QH mare who looks awesome in purple and a QH gelding who looks the best in turquoise thanks to his blue eyes. I love the simplicity of your videos. Even as a relatively experienced horsewoman, I love getting a refresher of some of the basics. You're doing a great job! :)
I am a beginner rider and just began taking lessons. I started learning how to post-trot and ended up having my first fall😬 This will be so helpful for my next lesson!😊 Thank you for the information!
Thank youuu! I have been posting for about 4 lessons now and this is very helpful! And I don't own a horse but at my training place I have an assigned pony. His name is Buddy and on my opinion, Purple looks best on him. (He's a brown-ish black gelding pony) ALSO: wanna hear a funny story? Last lesson I had to Buddy into the pasture, but in a certain part of the pasture past another gate. When I was trying to get him through the gate I accidently let all the other horses into the other area of the field :(
I’ve been doing lessons for about a week now, and I’ve had difficulty with my posting trot as my instructor kept telling me not to move my legs and knees, and I couldn’t understand what I was doing wrong. After watching your video I understood to use my hips instead of my weight! Your videos are always so helpful and easy to follow, thank you so much! 💗
I just started to post a few months ago and just started to post on the trot. I wasn’t being on the right diagnal. I watched this video my whole life changed, I was on the right diagnal all the time also with great beats and great posture. Very recommended
I started horse riding lessons recently, and I’ve been stuck at the up and down part for 3 lessons. My sisters which take the lessons with me seem to have already gotten it and did trotting for 2 lessons already while I didn’t. I thank you so much for this, I’ll try getting it in today’s lesson so I can finally go ahead with my sisters.
Very helpful. Just returned to horse riding after 30 years and am having trouble rising to the trot. This has helped a lot as I was gripping with my legs.
I’ve only been riding for a few weeks and I know that I need to improve my posting and this helps so much!! My problem is pinching with my knees mainly, as well as not keeping my hands still. Thank you so much for this!!
I'm finally starting riding again after 8 years out of the saddle! I've been feeling very nervous but your videos have really been helping me feel more confident. I'm so excited now. Thank you.
Thank you so much my first lesson was yesterday and I was already post trotting I needed to work on it a lot but i am getting my own horse but it will be either the end of winter or the beginnng of summer so this was an amazing Visio and helped me understand
The tip about glancing at their shoulder is such a good tip! I will be trying this tomorrow as getting the right diagonal purposefully is such a struggle for me.
My big boy looks good in anything western style, he is also not really a horse that likes just walking around and really likes to get going but I've always had trouble lifting myself up while in even just a trot so this is helpful thank you so much!
your channel has been really helpfull!!! also the horse that i ride literaly hates going the right way and will like only canter and walk not trot or gallop and she looks the best in light pink, sage green, and soft blue
My daughter has just started trotting and originally she thought you went up and down when the horse jumped up and down but we were able to get that sorted out and now she’s learning to trot
I have to reevaluate how I trot. Since I was taught to hold with my knees - while somehow maintaining full control of my lower legs without putting weight on the stirrups (which is really really hard to achieve), I'm probably doing it the wrong and very hard way. I remember one relatively early lesson when our stirrups were taken away and we still had to do good post trot. That quickly became one of my most dreaded exercises, I just didn't have the strength to grip tightly enough with my knees to get up without sliding down a bit. I have even been trying to privately strengthen my legs at home to be able to do that. 😣
I just had my two class.. My legs feel exhausted.. Iam Confident I will achieve this in sha Allah but still it's so hard and u need so much strength.. It's been 7 mnth since u comment so any output will help
My niece likes sage green on her horse. I find the equestrian clothes and colours are very conservative try Tucker in a Burnt Orange or blue Green. I paint and love a pop of colour. Thanks for your lessons.
I've just started learning to ride and this was super helpful! We started trotting today. I ride my friends horse Honor and I think dark blue suits him best
Great explanation! That gave me some things to think about. But usually as soon as I call a trot I turn into Forest Gump, start banging all over the saddle, and the ladies start giggling at me. Man who would have thought riding a horse would be so hard! I knew I wasn’t going to be competing in any reining competition in a couple of months, but geez!
Omg this helped me so much i used to struggle and i sat STRUGGLE with trotting and i did'nt know why but this helped me so much ty :) also i think black and dark blue looks best on mozart he is a all white lippazaner and looks so pretty with black :D
Thanks for explaining in a clear and concise way along side of your demonstrations. It's refreshing to listen to and also watch. You do not overpower the watcher with too many words/explanations/statements which i personally find just confuses the issue and is distracting.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm learning how to teach others to ride horses and I need to teach a mock lesson on posting the trot. This video is very helpful in the points that you gave and the solutions to the common problems. Thank you so much!
I never knew about diagonals so whenever anybody said it I was like WHAT? I had my lesson on wednesday and I learned to post then but now I am learning a lot more!
My Grulla Quarter horse mare looks best in Turquoise. I love how simple you make your videos. It makes things a lot easier. I also love how cute Tucker is 💜
I love how ive been riding for 15 years and im still finding these entertaining😂 anyways i have a black welsh cob and i think he looks great in red and navy blue
I am currently taking English lessons and I am struggling with the trot😂 I learned the diagonals in 1 lesson and that is very simple to me This is extremely helpful and I hope to use this for my next lesson
Im 10 and rode a horse for fun today and they let me trot! For my first time! I did a rising trot perfectly! Im so happy! My posture needs fixing but its rlly good! ❤
I’m new to horse back riding and Im struggling a lot with trotting so this is very helpful, especially the part about going with the motion of the horse, thanks♥️

Try squatting back into the saddle 🥰 stand up in your stirrups and sit back down. I find that I kind of just like slide backwards. I would recommend literally just standing sitting standing sitting
@@LorryMLewis it all depends on what you want to do :) my trainer started with me having just stand while keeping my leg in the right position and then we moved up into walking and practicing it. My new horse is a black friesan cross. I like him in navy and forest green, but he looks good in red too! I second a video on being a new horse owner!
