Mr Lee, a few weeks ago when you handed out those awesome pioneer ear buds i enquired about your giveaways and was hoping to be one of those recipients of such a wonderful gift. It was at this point which you didn't know about my macbook md101 which I saved for around 2 years to purchase has now completely gone off. I have sent it through for repairs but technicians have failed to power the unit back up. This mac stored majority of my library. I now use an i3 windows laptop which is not as efficient in my opinion compared to the Mac. The bonus of attaining your laptop would be to inherit all your library with those fire crates you built over time. Sir, I will be overjoyed in fact over the noon should I be the candidate to receive such a gift especially now more than before since I am unemployed. Hey Jordan, I am an older DJ just getting restarted. I had my owned The Party Starters NYC back in the days. Due to the the fact a disabled DJ in a wheelchair, people were like wtf??? I loved making parties rock for 7 years before social media. Then life kicked in and all. I definitely would love to return to the scene. Praises to all your videos that offer inspiration. I'm a 'new' dj that gave up the craft over ten years ago with a huge move in my life to the west coast to be with son. I needed to pay Bay Area bills so I went to a 9-5 lifestyle and put the turntables away in the closet. Now over ten years later, the pandemic hit, I lost all my work in 2020 which afforded me time to get back on my turntables. I did my first paid gig for a client two weeks ago and while my back hated me the next morning, it was such a rush to be back to spinning some music for people. I've wanted to start live streaming but I have only one laptop and am still technically out of work. But my second gig is coming up and I'm using my 2014 macbook pro which is holding for now with the occasional pause during a set but will resume within a few seconds. Haven't seen my blood family since 2019 due to the pandemic and the money I was going to use to purchase a new to me laptop has now been used to purchase my son and I two tickets back home for the holidays b/c that is top priority. So a second laptop would help with livestreaming and also be a good backup at gigs in case my current laptop decides to not play nice. In any case, keep pumping these videos out b/c they are motivating!
I took up DJIng as a hobby after my divorce a couple of years ago and had no idea how to get started. I found you on patreon and you have been a big help with answering my questions. I appreciate that a lot. But I never bought a laptop for this, I only used an old gateway laptop I've had for a few years so this would absolutely help out. Being following you here on UA-cam for a short while now and your routines always get me glued. I’ve been yearning to get a new laptop to continue djing but I haven’t been able to get funds for that since I’ve been out of work since covid19 hit us. My old laptop which I’ve had for the past 5 years has seen it’s useful years and finally damaged due to long use. I've been borrowing a laptop for a while now after returning to DJ'ing last year. My love for the art has never diminished, but life got in the way many years ago for me. Once I decided to get back into it, I needed a laptop, but could not afford it. Borrowed a MacBook from my nephew, and its been a blast!! He needed it back recently, so I am left without something to use. My inspiration on getting back into it was watching Djs, like yourself moving this art form ahead. The passion that you and other DJ Content Creators show is infectious!! Thank you for your insight, and honestly in your videos. Keep moving forward!!

Listening to your mixes is the thing that’s inspired me over the last 4 months to get back into DJing. I started 10 years ago back on my CDJ100s’, over the the years I’d reluctantly move onto the next audio format, not until I felt like I paid my dues on cds first, then later onto USB’s, then to Laptop. It’s almost been 3 years since I’ve gigged consistently after travelling overseas then coming back to Aus when the pandemic hit. I did about 5 gigs last year between lockdowns in Melbourne and now I have my first gig in 2 weeks and I’m sort of sh****ing myself because my MBP is 2013 and just not sure if the old girl is up there anymore 😂. 2022 I’m hoping is the year I really focus on DJing as my main job/career path and this would just be the most awesome launching pad for me to really re-discover my passion for this art.
Building a legacy for an angle of music my son who is with creator , in taking care of him while he was here in the physical he was a harmonizing gift to the world. I have always wanted to mix and scratch growing up in Philly and rooted in music. This would be an additive to preserve and keep it going .. we remian one love
So many comments, so little time..😆 I've been a vinyl dj for nigh on 30 yrs and as time went on i let music pass me by..Dj ing is not so much a hobby now,but a career and I'm trying hard to get back into it..the likes of yourself, dj jazzy jeff,dj angelo, blakey,qbert amongst many many others have been the catalyst of me going forward..my vinyl collection perished due to the fact my ex partner left over 2000 12" and 800 albums to rot in a metal shed along with my 1210s,mixer and amps,basically all what I used to play out with. So slowly slowly I'm building my collection back up and as you know,practice practice practice is the key..thankyou for taking the time to read this (if you have),and I hope I will be successful and be awarded with your laptop....fingers crossed... I'm from Brazil, but I lived in Christchurch in 2010/11 ( yeah, I was there during the earthquake) and I was searching for Ché Fu and similar and got to your pandemic videos, and you make the kind of mix that I love. I'm a DJ since 2009 and recently my 2016 MacBook left me, it's really expensive to replace it, especially here in Brazil, and as I'm about to be a father (around april) my income has a new destination. I'm trying to move from clubs to weddings, as I can't be out all night with my new girl, and this will certainly help to start the new setup. From a tender age of 5yrs old was the age I first loved djing.. I got a passion for it from seeing my uncle back in 2006 when djs in Jamaica would use turntable and vinyl. Growing I got my expose to it because he took me in and taught the ways of DJing and up to now I still have his first 2008 unibody MacBook which I have a hard time using due to its overheating and limited updates and I'm fearful of it because it has a time where I'm djing and the laptop freezes and I don't want to embarrass myself during my gigs 🥲 so I'm rlly overdue for a new laptop

So I record these UA-cam mixes to cassette and then play them back on a boombox in the garage (my man cave). I use to DJ at house parties with 1200s in the 80s. I wrote a program on my Commodore 64 to figure the BPM on each single using the spacebar (like a tap button). Now I’m just blown away with these controllers, and now I’m hooked! I use a desktop Mac so I can mix but limited to my man cave. I need to get out and Dj to my old friends once again 🎧
Jordan, your mixes made me love DJing again. I've been DJing for 20 years and it was becoming a grind. I listened to music like it was a chore. I don't know how I even found you, but your energy and talent bring me so much joy. I feel your mixes in my soul. Now I'm trying to step it up and be a "real" DJ again. I use to DJ when I was younger and then sold all my equipment. Now I bough the RANE ONE controller and trying to teach my kid how to DJ. We watch your videos as practice. She is 6 and loves it. She is at least getting the basic concepts.

It would give me a head start on my music. I played music at a club 4 months ago and left my equipment inside thinking that it would be safe for a few hours cause of weather. I as a DJ for over 4 1/2 decades you Collection of songs with take me to a whole Nother level. At my age i just can’t remember them all. I play in a bar as a video DJ but away from the bar i would love MP3’s. A lot of music don’t have videos. BPM stopped so videos and now the pool I’m in don’t have MP3’s. So a lot of music i just don’t get. I’m 58 about to turn 59 and with all that’s been going on my money funny. I pay over $50 each month and my bar just can’t stay open like before this virus. My entire life I was told by my parents and my friends that I was too smart to get into music. Every time I would talk to my parents about anything music related as a career they would scold me. Two years ago I was in Tokyo at 1Oak, and while I was there I was just watching the DJ. He was really just enjoying himself. I got a chance to speak to him and it inspired me to follow my passions. Your channel definitely has helped me keep the passion even more alive by giving me something to emulate. Giving out the Macbook is a very nice gesture, and I believe there are more people who need it than I do but one thing I want most is your 'bad ass' music library. I took Dj as an Hobby earlier this year and I must say it has been the best, and I want to expand my music library.

I started off as a small fraternity DJ on borrowed equipment because I couldn’t afford my own. I finally got a controller over the summer and have been able to pick up gigs on the weekends! Unfortunately due to legal issues and COVID delays, my work permit has expired and now I am solely relying on music and DJing to support myself. This would help me replace my laptop that had been falling apart for years now! She’s still pushing through though. Thanks for helping out the community!
Wwwwwoooooowwwww what an amazing opportunity! I’m getting back into DJ-ing after 4 years break. I haven’t been gigging because I’ve been supporting my partner who’s a midwife. We have 2 kids, so I’ve been available to parent, while she gets called out for births. (Midwifes are on call 24/7 7 days a week, so they really do need a good supportive co-parent). I have my first gig on New Years after a long hiatus and this would be an incredible leg up. I’m hoping to get back into dj-ing semi regularly next year. Here’s hoping! (I don’t currently have a laptop, I just have old school cdjs. I do have a scratch live interface so this would be the missing piece!
Bruh. Your edits have helped me truly become more creative mixing overall. Literally has secured me a great residency and new clients from word of mouth. I still use my super old MBP and try to maintain it to be able to use. The macbook alone would help me be able to stream and also not worry when this one will finally check out. I guess we are all having our troubles after the past few years and how times are. There's always someone going through more stuff from yourself from life threatening illness too long as of a close one. Though whatever we are going through its all personal and can't be disquished what is more painful. I've severe mental illness from childhood trauma of abuse on different spectrums. Bipolar BPD and autism is just a few challenges I have to face on a daily basis. Yes having music and something to keep my mind occupied is massive but I know others have struggles also. Yes be very nice . Just posting a comment as taken me away from my head for mins so that's a blessing

I always loved mixing since I was 14. It started with mixing with cassettes by doing simple mixes to then progressing to mixing using sound forge and goldwave. I got my first controller in 2019 and I started a podcast where I upload my mixes. Really love your work and hope to progress to making mixes like you one day with practice. My dream was to always mix in clubs and hope that dream comes true even though I am 41. Its never too late!

I've been extremely influenced by radio DJs and on-air personalities from the Bay Area. I really appreciate the art of DJing and Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, and more. I've spent most of my life listening to the radio and production mixes from the best DJs and turntablists. I'd visit every Hip Hop club possible including other countries like Canada. I'm going to spend the rest of my life making DJ Mixes, DJ Edits, DJ Video Mixes, Remixes, Productions, montages, and more.

Well it would be a dream come true for me as I made it through the pandemic because of you(I'm a Patreon too) and your videos but most importantly because I was introduced to you by my late brother who I lost October the 13th 2021, I would uphold his legacy with that laptop of yours, through the music that I would have at my disposal, he was a dj too and really looked up to you.
This will help me a lot because I Just started djing and It's hard finically because I can't afford the monthly payments on the DJ record pools or streaming services. Having well-organized music will allow me to focus more on the mixing. Having your computer would put me at a huge advantage because I won't have to build up my crates from scratch. Hey Jordan, I am an older DJ just getting restarted. I had my owned The Party Starters NYC back in the days. Due to the the fact a disabled DJ in a wheelchair, people were like wtf??? I loved making parties rock for 7 years before social media. Then life kicked in and all. I definitely would love to return to the scene. Praises to all your videos that offer inspiration. I'm a 'new' dj that gave up the craft over ten years ago with a huge move in my life to the west coast to be with son. I needed to pay Bay Area bills so I went to a 9-5 lifestyle and put the turntables away in the closet. Now over ten years later, the pandemic hit, I lost all my work in 2020 which afforded me time to get back on my turntables. I did my first paid gig for a client two weeks ago and while my back hated me the next morning, it was such a rush to be back to spinning some music for people. I've wanted to start live streaming but I have only one laptop and am still technically out of work. But my second gig is coming up and I'm using my 2014 macbook pro which is holding for now with the occasional pause during a set but will resume within a few seconds. Haven't seen my blood family since 2019 due to the pandemic and the money I was going to use to purchase a new to me laptop has now been used to purchase my son and I two tickets back home for the holidays b/c that is top priority. So a second laptop would help with livestreaming and also be a good backup at gigs in case my current laptop decides to not play nice. In any case, keep pumping these videos out b/c they are motivating!
I took up DJIng as a hobby after my divorce a couple of years ago and had no idea how to get started. I found you on patreon and you have been a big help with answering my questions. I appreciate that a lot. But I never bought a laptop for this, I only used an old gateway laptop I've had for a few years so this would absolutely help out. I've been borrowing a laptop for a while now after returning to DJ'ing last year. My love for the art has never diminished, but life got in the way many years ago for me. Once I decided to get back into it, I needed a laptop, but could not afford it. Borrowed a MacBook from my nephew, and its been a blast!! He needed it back recently, so I am left without something to use. My inspiration on getting back into it was watching Djs, like yourself moving this art form ahead. Listening to your mixes is the thing that’s inspired me over the last 4 months to get back into DJing. I started 10 years ago back on my CDJ100s’, over the the years I’d reluctantly move onto the next audio format, not until I felt like I paid my dues on cds first, then later onto USB’s, then to Laptop. It’s almost been 3 years since I’ve gigged consistently after travelling overseas then coming back to Aus when the pandemic hit. I did about 5 gigs last year between lockdowns in Melbourne and now I have my first gig in 2 weeks and I’m sort of sh****ing myself because my MBP is 2013 and just not sure if the old girl is up there anymore 😂. 2022 I’m hoping is the year I really focus on DJing as my main job/career path and this would just be the most awesome launching pad for me to really re-discover my passion for this art.

So I record these UA-cam mixes to cassette and then play them back on a boombox in the garage (my man cave). I use to DJ at house parties with 1200s in the 80s. I wrote a program on my Commodore 64 to figure the BPM on each single using the spacebar (like a tap button). Now I’m just blown away with these controllers, and now I’m hooked! I use a desktop Mac so I can mix but limited to my man cave. I need to get out and Dj to my old friends once again 🎧

The industry has changed so much since the last time I did a gig. A pre loaded laptop would be a blessing to help get things kicked off.
I use to DJ when I was younger and then sold all my equipment. Now I bough the RANE ONE controller and trying to teach my kid how to DJ. We watch your videos as practice. She is 6 and loves it. She is at least getting the basic concepts.

First I want to applaud you for thinking about someone in this DJ world we live in. Someone will appreciate what you will do for them. I know it would help me a lot. It would give me a head start on my music. I played music at a club 4 months ago and left my equipment inside thinking that it would be safe for a few hours cause of weather. To make a long story short everything I had was stolen. Computer, hard drive, speakers, amp and my technique turntables. Bad luck on my part.

My entire life I was told by my parents and my friends that I was too smart to get into music. Every time I would talk to my parents about anything music related as a career they would scold me. Two years ago I was in Tokyo at 1Oak, and while I was there I was just watching the DJ. He was really just enjoying himself. I got a chance to speak to him and it inspired me to follow my passions. I started off as a small fraternity DJ on borrowed equipment because I couldn’t afford my own. I finally got a controller over the summer and have been able to pick up gigs on the weekends! Unfortunately due to legal issues and COVID delays, my work permit has expired and now I am solely relying on music and DJing to support myself. This would help me replace my laptop that had been falling apart for years now! She’s still pushing through though. Thanks for helping out the community!
Wwwwwoooooowwwww what an amazing opportunity! I’m getting back into DJ-ing after 4 years break. I haven’t been gigging because I’ve been supporting my partner who’s a midwife. We have 2 kids, so I’ve been available to parent, while she gets called out for births. (Midwifes are on call 24/7 7 days a week, so they really do need a good supportive co-parent).
I have my first gig on New Years after a long hiatus and this would be an incredible leg up. I’m hoping to get back into dj-ing semi regularly next year. Here’s hoping! (I don’t currently have a laptop, I just have old school cdjs. I do have a scratch live interface so this would be the missing piece!

I guess we are all having our troubles after the past few years and how times are. There's always someone going through more stuff from yourself from life threatening illness too long as of a close one. Though whatever we are going through its all personal and can't be disquished what is more painful. I've severe mental illness from childhood trauma of abuse on different spectrums. Bipolar BPD and autism is just a few challenges I have to face on a daily basis. Yes having music and something to keep my mind occupied is massive but I know others have struggles also. Yes be very nice . Just posting a comment as taken me away from my head for mins so that's a blessing

I always loved mixing since I was 14. It started with mixing with cassettes by doing simple mixes to then progressing to mixing using sound forge and goldwave. I got my first controller in 2019 and I started a podcast where I upload my mixes. Really love your work and hope to progress to making mixes like you one day with practice. My dream was to always mix in clubs and hope that dream comes true even though I am 41. Its never too late!

Well it would be a dream come true for me as I made it through the pandemic because of you(I'm a Patreon too) and your videos but most importantly because I was introduced to you by my late brother who I lost October the 13th 2021, I would uphold his legacy with that laptop of yours, through the music that I would have at my disposal, he was a dj too and really looked up to you.
This will help me a lot because I Just started djing and It's hard finically because I can't afford the monthly payments on the DJ record pools or streaming services. Having well-organized music will allow me to focus more on the mixing. Having your computer would put me at a huge advantage because I won't have to build up my crates from scratch.
