I have a 5th gen also, the aftermarket support isn’t bad, really you just gotta know what to look for. You can build the motors like crazy, exhausts and intakes are everywhere, there are other lip kits and spoilers, different headlights and tails, tons of wheel options, too. It’s just a 20 year old car so some stuff is harder to find, but there’s tons of options, and it shares many parts with the Accord.
If honda listened to us owners about the dream of rwd... to have a SELECTABLE AWD FWD RWD would be a good tech demonstration for the new ev version. Thats what the prelude was. It was literally the designers flexing what they could make a fwd do and how fun it could be. I got a base because LSDs had come such a long way, that and the traction system of the sh was too rare to maintain. I absolutely love the clean ev concept with no fake vents and that amazing taillight. ... kept that rear end *gorgeous*. If it look like that eye candy and its not insanely marked up I'll be getting one. I have some trade in values too.
I still own my 4th gen prelude and I've had it for a long time. I did a h23a euro r swap, p13 usdm ecu, oem injectors, runs and drives strong. Where im from, I don't see much ludes anymore, especially my gen. Since the day I bought it, i love it the same way. Peope stop and ask questions all the time and some of the new generation sometimes don't know what it is. In my opinion, 4th gen and ludes are special gems.
I’ve been a 4th gen Prelude guy since I was in high school in 2002. Still have it, but it’s a turbo project now. I’ve never been much of a Honda fan, with the exception of the Preludes and Del Sols
Cinematography is on point. Very clean looking shots and nice vibe. I agree with you on the bubbly look old Honda's had. What do you think of the CL1 Accord Euro R? I feel like it's more straight lines than most Hondas of the era.
Been deciding on a car to get with similar criteria(project but also daily driver) and this was on the list, only gripe is the car isnt rwd but the more i see it and people reviewing it… might be the car to look for. Great video.
honesty… i don’t mind the fwd. its better for daily as well through rain and gives me more excitement knowning I won’t tail spin if i push it around corners
the 5th gen (94-97) accords also have the long front sleek look to it, the headlights are sleek and better looking than the same year civics. They came with f22s with the ex trims having the f22b1 vtec which produced 150hp all while 92-95 civics si are making 125hp but h swap is common and pretty easy to do with 5th gen accords. I love my 94 coupe but i do plan to get a prelude soon ❤
Look great in red man!. Its not very common for it to be original which is kinda special. They really just wear any color really well. I cant even pick a wrap color for it...
Sick car bro, just bought one a couple days ago for a decent price 95k miles all original 2nd owner clean inside like new. Couple dents on it but nothing crazy only problem is it’s an auto 😢…. probably gonna get it swapped eventually after I get it looking nice
Man nice sade intro i was listening to sade and click your video and another sade song, love that prelude maybe i get one here in dominican republic maybe a 3rd gen 88 prelude yellow
I have always loved the prelude its just amazing, a beautiful honda coupe, one day i might get a prelude for a daily and then something like a monaro, or tuned EG hatch, or civic type r EP3 or something as the weekend car
That Accord coupe at the time killed the Prelude.. the coupe looked like a luxury sports coupe .. I had an 02 red coupe V6.. everyone would Mistake it for a Acura ❤
man i love them I've got two just done engine rebuild on one and tons of other work will upload it all to my channel, plus the other one im about to start working on and going to swap it from auto to manual plus replace every bush bearing suspension ect like i did with the other one, i have a green and also a silver one.
The best Honda ever🎉 big block just everything stock, unlike b and k series it came upgraded compared to preludes. Still preludes have way more power when upgraded and it’s more thrilling than other Hondas . H series for life!!🎉🎉🎉
@@worldwidegarage i live up in Canada so I’m only driving the lude 4months a year due to harsh winters. Ive only put 23k kms over the 7years. If its your daily keep up with maintenance and you should be okay. I’ll be making a video soon as I’m rebuilding my front suspension
Honestly all hondas are. Ive heard the 9th Gen Civic Si's manuals are really great and responsive for beginners as an older car from the 90's shifting will be much more loose than a newer year. Comfort wise it's decent... again cant expect 2015 lexus luxury in a 90's car but gets the job done
I bought one last week and I'm loving it so far even though it's only a 2.0 but I'm having a hard time finding a OEM style body kit like yours here in Europe :/
I'm a 4th gen guy that's now a hypocrite for buying a 5th gen "i been hating on how they look vs the 4th gen for years" I did it for the color ONLY. Electron Blue Pearl. I have no regrets. I regard that as the only alluring 5th gen color. My 94 bb1 was Milano and the clear faded 15 years ago type jive. So naturally it looked oxidized and ugly. Lost my love of red cars after owning that. No hate of course yours held up great. Congrats on owning such a nice whip. Great goals. Cheers.
They discontinued the prelude because it was selling worse and worse the last 2 generations. People prefer the other cars like the civic because for a little bit less you have a faster car or a little bit more and a nicer car. The prelude at the end of its life was a middle child because Honda was making a lot of sporty cars and the prelude just ended up being unlucky.
No one buys a prelude because it's a fast car, they buy it because it is a excellent Cruiser, with a 220 hp engine when you want to floor it and have some fun
Its was literally just the accord V6 that killed the prelude not the civic lmao. The top package for the Accord V6 was I believe 10k less than the Prelude’s top package so people bought the accord. A V6 instead of a I4 the only “special” thing about the Prelude was the 4 wheel steering and the average consumer didn’t care for it. had nothing to do with the civic
If you really want to step your knowledge up . I recommend Trey be Dipping. UA-cam channel. He a young Lude lover and hella knowledgeable. He works on his cars and collaborate with other and he takes his lude to the track. He’s hella resourceful 👍
Dont tell me you cant find shit to mod your car lol. Im a 4th gen prelude owner and its SO CLOSE to impossible. I have a hiro jdm lip kit and the prices are irrational.
You dont have grass in your yard? Thats sick bro i hate mowing he grass because the neighborr fucks the line up anyways. Often i consider using anhydrous ammonia and get rid of it all.... might cost the same as mulch/gravel frfr.
Great video! I love my 5th gen Prelude. Owned a total of 4 of them. I have a few videos on my channel of mine and a buddies turbocharged lude. Check it ouT!!!
maybe accord coup replaced the prelude.. it was quick but not that stylish like prelude though. I really hope prelude coming back. but... the new Integra is shit, so maybe never coming back would be better. IDK I have mixed feelings

Dude, awesome video. Loved the shots.
Got my Lude when I was 20 years old, it’s been the best car to daily around to uni and work
Good vid bro keep it up bro

Europe gets all the sick cars man. that thing is gorgeous, i can tell what the acura TSX was inspired by. looks like a beautiful luxury sleeper
Crazy underrated channel
this is genuinely such a cool video, good job man. i love my prelude too

awesome prelude and super cool video, subscribed!
i felt that comment about having a coupe in college, it's a pain in the ass but ain't no way id get rid of my prelude
the small price to pay to obtain a Japanese legend

Love this vid and my prelude love the attention they are getting now
dude fr so glad i purchased mine before they blew up lol
I love my prelude but there is always something with it, still love it 😅
I got a 2000 Camry work car and the 98 Prelude for the weekends. Camry is helpful when the Prelude curse strikes.

4th generation definetely the best 👍
3rd gen here, same story here man. My motors gutless though and no vtec. Love the red, resprayed my faded phoenix red.
Beautiful editing man keep up the good work
That Accord coupe at the time killed the Prelude.. the coupe looked like a luxury sports coupe .. I had an 02 red coupe V6.. everyone would
Mistake it for a Acura ❤
I just pulled my prelude out of storage after 8 years of sitting, 01 black on black 5 speed leather interior.
I've had a 350Z and rode in a red Prelude. I'd say the Prelude is a better daily driver for sure.

You made a great decision.
The new 2026 prelude is coming back...pretty sick!
My man, love of my life and me split went crazy sold all my synths and put that money in my 98 prelude
I will be so proud when I get the money together for my prelude ❤️🔥🔥 and bro the music is also so chill af 😎🔥

True that. But why even drink in the car in the first place. Keep them clean Lol
Getting one now
