Did anyone else notice that Blurryface is in this song..... The deep voice? In Fairly Local when Tylers voice goes deep, that is Blurryface. Many people think that Blurryface is Tylers dark side. Blurryfaces verse in Fairly Local is about how the song will never be on the radio. (" Yo, This song will never be on the radio.") Now, in Screen, during the second verse, you can notice a deep voice singing under Tyler's. THIS IS BLURRYFACE. This entire song, from my interpretation, is about us, about those who are having hardships, those of us who are depressed. This honestly is a very acknowledging song, from Tyler/Josh to us. Everytime i hear this i just want to go outside on a warm summer night, and lay in the grass looking at the stars in the sky and just sob because life's so beautiful and confusing and messed up but in that moment everything's going to be fine because nothing can hurt you and you're invincible and all the stress and anxiety doesn't matter because you're fine and you're loved by someone out there that's thinking about you in that moment.

i cried the first time i heard this at 'there's some people and I Who have a really tough time getting through this life So excuse us while we sing to the sky.' i am a self harmer and a lot of my friends self harm too, and yeah, we do have a really tough time getting through this life. i had a difficult start to life and im now fostered by my aunt and uncle and i swear to god they hate me. my aunts friend used to take me out every so often, and she was like the mum i never had. last year she got cancer and decided to stop treatment. she died and i was never told properly, and i could never go to her funeral. she doesnt have a gravestone i can visit, instead her friends planted a tree in memory of her. i must admit, i have spoken to the sky on dark nights when im feeling depressed, and the fact that tyler and so many other people have bben through similar things breaks my heart. twenty one pilots lyrics always apply to my life, even though ive only been a fan for a few weeks/ months. tyler, josh, i love you. and i love whoever is reading this. stay strong.

Occasionally remembered how I was listening to this one when my grandpa had to undergo a really tough heart surgery with low chances of success because not only was the surgery itself difficult but he was also extremely allergic to one chemical that's used during this type of operation. The operation was a success, and it's been 7 years since then and the grandpa is alright, even though his age has started to take its toll. I now live in another city but am soon coming to my hometown to spend time with him and grandma and take 'em to a restaurant in a nearby big city which they haven't done for ages Can't say if this song helped me through this difficult time but it really did sparkle some memories of it when I listened to it once again

From time to time I come back here to listen to this song and every time I'm here I turn it up really loud and imagine how it would be to go to their concert and sing along with thousands and thousands of other fans. I imagine how it would be to sing "we're broken people" with so many others and not feel pain while admiting it but only pure, beautiful sadness. Twenty øne Piløts is one of the few bands out there that can turn this phrase into something that doesn't make you feel bad for being broken. That's why I love it, it's forever and ever one of my faves from them.
It was AMAZING!! When I saw them it was 9000 people all singing every lyric to every song and you could just feel the love and energy and healing. AARRGGHH This hiatus is killing me!! I cannot wait to hear their new album (along with everyone other clique member) I get they they are taking a MUCH needed break and I get that they are exhausted from 5+ years of constant touring but...but... but....we just NEED them to come back! There is just something so special about them. I have been to dozens and dozens of concerts from Black Sabbath to Bread, Ed Sheeran to Eminem, Aerosmith to Adele, Macklemore to Meghan Trainor and the Twenty One Pilots concert was , hands down, THE BEST concert experience EVER! If you have watched their concert videos: Car Radio, Lane Boy, etc and especially Trees....It was JUST like that! Better! Josh's back flip off the piano during Holding Onto You, The tambourine catch in HeavyDirtySoul, Josh's drum solo during Lane Boy on the platform held up by the crowd, turning our gunhands into fists in Guns for Hands....All of was just ...simply amazing. I wish I could describe the collective LOVE in that arena. When they did Trees there wasn't a dry eye in the place and the confetti and drumming by both Tyler and Josh was ...there just are no words. I'm so sorry I went on and on but ,YES, it's something you HAVE to experience! I will be hoping very hard that you get to see them wherever you are! Again, sorry for the length but what can I say?! Gosh no wait I need the detailed describtion of this, I loved to read every line, holy sh... ok no cursing tho... but yeah, I mean I watched complete shows on live streams and even fan recordings about some concerts and damn. Just. Damn. I think Twenty One Pilots is one of those bands that really know how to pull out really really good shows that both work with the visual elements without making the quality of their performance any worse. I mean, they have to plan how to perform their songs and how to give the crowd the best and oh my gosh are they doing it good! Well so long I've been to two concerts in my life, and only one of them was really a joy for me so I can't really compare it to anything really, because seeing it is not the same as being there like you did - but just looking at how they do all their live performances I can tell for sure that they are really good in performing on stage, with showing the message and making it enjoyable even for people who might not be in the fandom. They're just simply underrated if you ask me :D And yeah, the hiatus... I guess it's killing all of us isn't it? I thought they'll come back by the end of 2017 but they didn't and I'd never say that they don't need or deserve the break, no, that'd be a bit too selfish, but I'm definitely at a stage in my life where their music is needed and where Twenty One Pilots is neccesary for living. We're all broken, we're all full of fears, we're all dealing with demons yet nobody wants to admit it because if you do you'll be considered a broken person. Well, we're all broken so lets all just accept it, the sooner we break this huge societal ordeal of denial that we all need help, the sooner we can fix it. "I find over the course of a human existence one thing consists of consistence and it's that we're all battling fear." This line too (obviously in a different song) because it lines up with the idea that we're all scared. It's hopeful to know that I'm not only not alone in this, but quite the opposite. This is just one of those TØP songs that everyone loves and never gets enough of it, it makes you wonder how society breaks us into thinking we are worthless, and this song brings us back from the dead and revives our soul and calms our mind and excites our hearts, they will always be a part of our hearts and remind us that even music can bring people together and destroy sadness. You know... twenty one pilots isn't the band for everybody. I've heard some people say that twenty one pilots sucks, or that their music doesn't make sense, or that they're weird and emo. I heard someone even call them fags once (they got a good talking to from me about that one). But you know what, I think they're the most amazing band. These men, these two small town nobodies, saved my fucking life,and if you have something bad to say about them, you haven't went through what EVERYONE in the skeleton clique has. People who are fans of twenty one pilots are some of the strongest, sweetest people I've ever met, and just the fact that they love twenty one pilots tells me so much about them. This entire song, from my interpretation, is about us, about those who are having hardships, those of us who are depressed. This honestly is a very acknowledging song, from Tyler/Josh to us. i am a self harmer and a lot of my friends self harm too, and yeah, we do have a really tough time getting through this life. i had a difficult start to life and im now fostered by my aunt and uncle and i swear to god they hate me. my aunts friend used to take me out every so often, and she was like the mum i never had. last year she got cancer and decided to stop treatment. she died and i was never told properly, and i could never go to her funeral. she doesnt have a gravestone i can visit, instead her friends planted a tree in memory of her. i must admit, i have spoken to the sky on dark nights when im feeling depressed, and the fact that tyler and so many other people have bben through similar things breaks my heart. twenty one pilots lyrics always apply to my life, even though ive only been a fan for a few weeks/ months. tyler, josh, i love you. and i love whoever is reading this. stay strong.

Occasionally remembered how I was listening to this one when my grandpa had to undergo a really tough heart surgery with low chances of success because not only was the surgery itself difficult but he was also extremely allergic to one chemical that's used during this type of operation. The operation was a success, and it's been 7 years since then and the grandpa is alright, even though his age has started to take its toll. I now live in another city but am soon coming to my hometown to spend time with him and grandma and take 'em to a restaurant in a nearby big city which they haven't done for ages
Can't say if this song helped me through this difficult time but it really did sparkle some memories of it when I listened to it once again

From time to time I come back here to listen to this song and every time I'm here I turn it up really loud and imagine how it would be to go to their concert and sing along with thousands and thousands of other fans. I imagine how it would be to sing "we're broken people" with so many others and not feel pain while admiting it but only pure, beautiful sadness. Twenty øne Piløts is one of the few bands out there that can turn this phrase into something that doesn't make you feel bad for being broken. That's why I love it, it's forever and ever one of my faves from them.
It was AMAZING!! When I saw them it was 9000 people all singing every lyric to every song and you could just feel the love and energy and healing. These guys change and save lives...mine included.This is one of my favorite songs too and somehow we all felt it was ok to be a little broken. If you get a chance to see them live, DO IT!! Ah you just made my evening with telling me that experience, I felt like it must be something like that but sadly I haven't had a chance yet to see them. Hope they'll come around after the hiatus (if there's one thing I need more than an other tour is an other album), it must be something you just HAVE to experience before you die! AARRGGHH This hiatus is killing me!! I cannot wait to hear their new album (along with everyone other clique member) I get they they are taking a MUCH needed break and I get that they are exhausted from 5+ years of constant touring but...but... but....we just NEED them to come back! There is just something so special about them. I have been to dozens and dozens of concerts from Black Sabbath to Bread, Ed Sheeran to Eminem, Aerosmith to Adele, Macklemore to Meghan Trainor and the Twenty One Pilots concert was , hands down, THE BEST concert experience EVER! If you have watched their concert videos: Car Radio, Lane Boy, etc and especially Trees....It was JUST like that! Better! Josh's back flip off the piano during Holding Onto You, The tambourine catch in HeavyDirtySoul, Josh's drum solo during Lane Boy on the platform held up by the crowd, turning our gunhands into fists in Guns for Hands....All of was just ...simply amazing. I wish I could describe the collective LOVE in that arena. When they did Trees there wasn't a dry eye in the place and the confetti and drumming by both Tyler and Josh was ...there just are no words. I'm so sorry I went on and on but ,YES, it's something you HAVE to experience! I will be hoping very hard that you get to see them wherever you are! Again, sorry for the length but what can I say?! They are simply magnificent. :) |-/
Gosh no wait I need the detailed describtion of this, I loved to read every line, holy sh... ok no cursing tho... but yeah, I mean I watched complete shows on live streams and even fan recordings about some concerts and damn. Just. Damn. I think Twenty One Pilots is one of those bands that really know how to pull out really really good shows that both work with the visual elements without making the quality of their performance any worse. I mean, they have to plan how to perform their songs and how to give the crowd the best and oh my gosh are they doing it good! Well so long I've been to two concerts in my life, and only one of them was really a joy for me so I can't really compare it to anything really, because seeing it is not the same as being there like you did - but just looking at how they do all their live performances I can tell for sure that they are really good in performing on stage, with showing the message and making it enjoyable even for people who might not be in the fandom. They're just simply underrated if you ask me :D
And yeah, the hiatus... I guess it's killing all of us isn't it? I thought they'll come back by the end of 2017 but they didn't and I'd never say that they don't need or deserve the break, no, that'd be a bit too selfish, but I'm definitely at a stage in my life where their music is needed and where Twenty One Pilots is neccesary for living. So yeah, I hope they come back soon with the new album, can't wait tbh...
And again, thanks for the wishes, I can't wait to hear about concert tickets and tours in Europe and so on... will be SO SICK
It'll be SICK AS FRICK! (sorry, just HAD to!) And fuck it, curse all ya want! I, too, think they are necessary for my survival and have been listening to every song from every album since they left us. It's cool to re discover and listen to some of their songs I had breezed by in the past. I could kick myself for not even knowing about Air Catcher till just a few months ago...dunno how that one escaped me but I'm glad I found it. Dealing with depression or any mental maladys can make a persons life a living hell and somehow their music hits me right where I need to be hit (metaphorically speaking) And you are spot on about their ability to perform. Beings there's just the 2 of them they have often said in interviews that Tyler writes music knowing that it will be performed live and that's where they shine. What a treat it is to chat with you! I'll be waiting to hear that you got tickets to the next tour AND want to know what you think of their upcoming album IF THIS @##$%%$ hiatus even ends! 235 days now...and counting...AARRGGHHH

That one part of the song really sticks with me so much. It just makes me think and actually gives a little bit of hope. We're all broken, we're all full of fears, we're all dealing with demons yet nobody wants to admit it because if you do you'll be considered a broken person. Well, we're all broken so lets all just accept it, the sooner we break this huge societal ordeal of denial that we all need help, the sooner we can fix it.
"I find over the course of a human existence one thing consists of consistence and it's that we're all battling fear." This line too (obviously in a different song) because it lines up with the idea that we're all scared. It's hopeful to know that I'm not only not alone in this, but quite the opposite. This is why I love TOP, they really help me and give me hope. Love the band |-/

Joanna Czerpak I understand what you're saying all too well. I stay up late, thinking, listening to Twenty One Pilots. And it's like having a friend who shares your thoughts and feelings. I love the fact that Tyler says music is therapy for him because his music is therapy for me as well.

This is just one of those TØP songs that everyone loves and never gets enough of it, it makes you wonder how society breaks us into thinking we are worthless, and this song brings us back from the dead and revives our soul and calms our mind and excites our hearts, they will always be a part of our hearts and remind us that even music can bring people together and destroy sadness. I glad a band like this exists.
