I think one of the reasons why you want to play when you watch them is because you can see how much fun they're having. Especially in their live videos... and especially Haraguchi and Tamu. But Haraguchi's even smiling almost everytime the camera's on her in the Revive MV. I definitely agree about Mayu and her not sounding like anyone else. She is super unique when it comes to Japanese vocalists/singers in general (I don't really know that many female metal vocalists from other countries, so I stick to Japanese here). There are a lot who sing clean all the time (some in various styles), there are also some who scream/growl all the time and some can sing reasonably well clean and can scream. But there's no one (at least to my knowledge) who can do both really well AND has this middle ground raspi-/gritti-ness like Mayu does. And she can do various different variations of all the different vocal styles to boot. Their MTH cover of Shimi shows a lot of her diversity of every style (but I think I already mentioned that song before, if I did, sorry). Almost forgot, so edit: I love Hazuki and Saki's chemistry in these solos, especially if you consider they're only really playing together for ~2 years. And if I remember correctly, Hazuki only started playing guitar in high school, which wouldn't even be 10 years ago. I also think it's pretty cool how both the rhythm and the guitar section have a "veteran" (Tamu and Saki) and a (relatively) newcomer (Haraguchi and Hazuki). New blood paired with experience always makes the best combinations in a team in my opinion.
Brian, I think your comments about heavy being a way to cope is spot on. There is nothing evil about needing to vent sometimes. I find different levels of heavy are needed for the level of stress and piss off I might be feeling. I take in a lot of different genres because of a love of all (er, most) music. Sometimes I need calm, I need a chord rich light but rhythmic lullaby. Sometimes, I need a "Revival", to slay the demons in my head...I get you 100% dude. RE: The wind on the girls in the onsite production I feel added to the feel: beautiful hair flying in the wind is a wild looking thing, and these crazy artists probably generate enough energy to light a small city anyway...so they handle it great.

Story of my guitar is mysterious now - I bought it 20 years ago, never managed to play anything, had trouble with the setup, put away in the basement protected against moisture. I don't understand, why I never get rid of that - I moved 2 times, had problem with storage... Now I found tutorial, made basic setup easy, enough to practice fingers... Like it all waited for that band to wake up. Normally i don't believe in such a things.
Me as well i stopped playing but the last 2 years i got back on it Saki being the one to get me going again she is such a nice person who actually communicated with me, Old ish bloke 55 not very good on a guitar in Wales uk LOL. Now i am using my many hand skills to make guitars as well .Stick at it and try and play even if its only 10 mins every day .
Absolutely my favorite song of theirs and I feel it is their best yet. Mayu is singing better in English. Love the location and the ladies look frickin beautiful and love the wind blowing their long hair... yup. Amazing job all around. THank you for reacting to this video.

LisaX posted Final Countdown from Yoyoka’s 12th birthday studio session, all pros. They also did Satch Boogie live, just a trio incl bass. and LisaX was on a 3rd song that day, I think it was StSeiya’s Pegasus Fantasy with original Nobu singer! (Nobu was also on Mary’s Blood recent release of Pegasus as well.)
This album will be 🔥🔥🔥 they played some new songs that will be on the album during 17th live stream all of them were kick ass! Among them Hypnosis really got me I love this song and can't wait for the album to drop to listen to it again and again 🤘
The only thing missing from this MV, is Saki's bad-ass white Marshall stack. Also, it's cool to see them doing more involved videos than the usual indoor performance type videos. Can't wait for the album!
I think Nemophila's new album is really great. 《Hypnosis》 should be their most special and heaviest song, full of exotic and core , even without the guitar solo, and the main riff of the song reminds me of 《god of fire》 by Fit for the king .🔥 And《game over》 is such a emotions song! The song:《demon light》(鬼灯) is a bit MTH style. 《rollin rollin》 is completely haraguchi's song! It’s a pity that good songs like 《breaking out》, 《blooming》 and 《creature》 are not included in the new album. I really want to hear how the sounds of the studio version is.

Revive is just great and heaver live than the MV .I dont know about This song But Sake has said her and Hazuki write there own lead parts separate then come together and work out the twin harmonies .Revive shows Saki going to a sound more Fusion at the start of her solo she likes playing that style and plays with the top male guitarists in JP i dont think she sits down LOL .If you look up Twitter There are interviews from Barks JP news Serch #nemophila with Saki and Hazuki all on there gear its very good .I would put the links but then YT would Delete this comment LOL. I can’t find any credits for the newest songs. Of the first 7, Mayu wrote all (all but 1?) of the lyrics, but other than Saki writing Monsters, all songs have non-band primary writing credits. Mayu is still challenged with English, but she’s getting better, and Saki’s English is conversational. But most of these bands have English consultants. Bridear’s new album is in English, but you can see where they’re at in their bts video prepping the stage banter with a coach. Miho and Asami each had an English partner to help edit lyrics. Hazuki and Saki are a close second to Miyako and Midori for me. Given enough time and variation in their dual lead work they might catch up but for now how in synch and how much variation Midori and Miyako use puts them slightly ahead.
You got the point! M&M’s cooperation is almost perfect, saki and hazuki, I think they need more time to get better together. but I prefer the styles of saki and midori. Miyako is a amazing composer. As for hazuki, I think she should make her live performance more stable and reduce some mistakes, but overall They are both excellent guitarists

They have a fun video up showing what it was like to make this. They were joking about freezing because they weren't wearing enough clothes. But they sure powered through, they look like they're having a blast. Re. writing--Saki writes a lot of the music but they all contribute and they also have collaborators.

They didn't plan on the wind for the video.. There was actually a cyclone (hurricane) on it's way towards that area.

I could and would listen to them as an instrumental band. Amazingly skilled musicians.
