The palanquin stopped to a hault as per the order of Princess who was curious to explore this temple that lied on the borders of Hastinapur.The obedient servants couldn't oppose her order. * The youngest son of Kunti looked at the arrangements for their grand celebration of homecoming of kuru-rajkumars. The deep thump of tabla,the shrill cry of veena synced with the beats of cymbals and enriched with the gayful tune of flute. This beautiful rendition of music seemed incomplete to Indraputra---his eyes searched for the her presence. This restless state of Arjun couldn't go unnoticed by his mischievous brother Nakul.Bheem too joined the scene. "Bhrata Bheem look at Bhrata Arjun...he seems lost somewhere else" Arjun's cheek burnt in embarrassment while he nodded hastily to hide his flushed face. He couldn't help remember the old incident. Panchali looked different that day...all her hair was brought to a gentle and round curve while her dainty curls dangled beside her ears.The red daisies at the side of her neck made a picture of her. Arjun got startled when she sprang up from her set and tried to scare him.He took out the knife to scare the childish princess who stood in front of him holding that same expression. She jumped back seeing the sharp grey blade. Arjun placed that knife back in his golden belt and Panchali sighed in relief. "Did you think I'll get scared so easily" laughed Arjun.Later she joined the laughter as well. Bheem and Nakul gave up teasing Arjun and requested him to play the veena instead. * Panchali had finished praying at the GauriShankar temple and was about to leave for her palace when she stopped at a sound----a faint sound of veena. Her curious eyes searched for the mysterious veena player. The shrill yet soothing tune flowed through the air instructing Panchali's steps to move forward.She stopped midway and devoured the music 🎶...the tempo increased and so did her heart beat. The slow melodious prelude lead its way to a breathtaking rapid climax. Panchali followed the trail of music and finally reached the gates of the Palace of Hastinapur. The Raag ended creating a void and snapping her fantasies. She was in a dilemma to enter the palace of Hastinapur or return back. * Arjun was so engrossed in playing the Veena that--- his eyelids closed and he got carried away with the music.The raag ended and Arjun still closing his eyes yearned to see her--his Princess in red,her hair in braids adorned with red crystals wrought on delicate golden stars.
