We who grew up in the 1970s and 1980s, modelled our actions on bowlers like Imraan, Lillee, Holding, Mudasser, Roberts and Botham ... the rhythmic run-up and then the leap at the end
@@shehzad28666 well, tennis ball came later. In our day we had big schools with large grounds and balls made with material called "rubber-cork". The taped-up tennis ball is a trend from the 1990s when we'd already been formed. Our generation had better footwork but the taped-up tennis ball began producing splendid pace-bowling skills.
@xaphre That's correct, in the 70s it was the cork ball. A regular cricket ball was too expensive. I think all of us from that era will have painful memories of being hit at least once by a fast-moving cork ball!!!
@6:53 I remember this was at the Sydney test of January 1977 when Imran bowled his heart out and got 12 wickets in the match. Pakistan won that match by 8 wickets.

The great son of the nation imran Khan mashalla Allah salamat rakhe ameen suma ameen ya Rubulalmeen.
It’s really wonderful janab …. Good to see Great Imran khan’s transformation which still continues to make him greatest all time
I seem to remember his changed action during the Indian tour of 79-80. As compared to a year earlier in Pakistan against India.
No mention of John Snow and Mike Proctor in helping him with improving his bowling run up and action?
Plus Malcom Marshal. Who taught him out swing and leg cuttet
Cricket superstar imran khan ❤❤❤
RockStaR imrankhan❤️🇵🇰
Very few bowlers could improve or maintain their career after changing their bowling actions.
Imran khan I love you bhai
