- The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is the most affordable way to get your hands on a 40hp bike today. While it is largely a parts bin bike borrowing elements from Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS200, that doesn't keep it from being a very fun bike to ride. Unpopular Opinion:- This bike is more than enough for most indian riders (when it comes to riding skills) , but they Act too cool cause they wont have bragging showoff rights with this....
Straight up facts. This bike is a killer
It's always upto the individual to aspire more and get something which fits their budget. Practically speaking yes this is more than you'd ever need to do everything 'legally'.
I wish to own bigger bikes (800-1000cc) in near future but it's an aspirational thing and not something that's a 'need'.
@@TheTwinPostif you aspire to own a 1000 cc superbike. This bike is a goot starting point for developing riding skills. Because nowadays people dont focus on this. Just getting superbikes and increasing road traffic accidents
@@kirtishacharya9070 That's a recipe for disaster. No-one should ever take that bigger jump. I've owned a 180 then a 390 then moved to a 650 and now am thinking of getting a second bike which could be a 800-1000cc. Jumping the ladder can be fatal. This bike NS400 is actually an amazing product for that price and 100% VFM.
Yes that's true but if someone wants to spend money on a performance bike like this, they would want it to stand out and demand road presence. The NS tag has become very old now and diluted to 160 cc which is terrible for Bajaj. Bajaj should have done something to make this bike stand out.
You either like this bike or hate it but you can't ignore it. Kudos to Bajaj
With that pricing all the compromises just fade away. Tough competition in the market now heck even for some 200-250cc out there. Love it!
Not for some but ALL 250cc. Like nobody in their right mind would buy Gixxer 250, CB300f, Apache 310 anymore (not that anyone was buying them even now since they were hardly selling in mere 3 digits). R15 will continue to sell because it's very unique.

@@SurajSinghTomarArya the only competitor of R15 in terms of looks is Rr310. Rest all faired bikes are not good looking.
Very average review by autocar they didn't even mention about the adjustable levers, hazard lights, nothing about ergonomics, no proper review of the speedometer and the functions it offers like MID, lap timer etc.
They even wrongfully said there isn't any distance to empty reading on the instrument cluster whereas there is a dte reading in the meter 😂
It felt like just specsheet reading

So tell me how often you require laptimer in daily use ? Review puts forth the points that are faced in daily use.

It's becoming common to make the script with it.
I am considering buying this bike due to reduced weight of almost 10 KG compared to the Dominar(2016 Version), which over the years has started to put stress on my knee joints. I wish they have a stickerless model though. This one is gaudy. But again, looking at the overall package, this bike looks like a no brainer purchase. Less weight = more speed , better maneouverability, better braking (or less demanding brake components), easy to live with compared to the Dominar. For the newer generation who just turned 21 or more, you have no idea what 1.85L means for this motorcycle. The Dominar cost 1.83L on road 7 years back, so in today's times of inflation and rising component costs, this is an unbelievable bargain. On the manufacturing front, All the production and mechanical engineers out there will know, when it comes to lean manufacturing, Bajaj is unbeatable.
Just pour hot water on those stickers and they'll come right off with very little resistence.

I have OG 2012 200NS. It came with 2 stickers on back panel which I removed. Look at Bajaj bikes from before 2014. They looked beautiful with almost no stickers.
I was considering to get a dominar until today, i've had a crush on dominar for years now, but now i am quite confused as to what would be a better buy, i understand its almost a lakh expensive than the NS but i really am mulling over this. help me out lol
@@piyushnihalani910 Bajaj said they will upgrade the dominar, but frankly i dont see much future for that bike. You can wait few months if you want to see what Bajaj launches, but this bike is just better in every way today.
I on the behalf of the Chapri community we would no longer buy the overpriced yamaha and ktm. We've changed stance and ns400z is our top priority now🎉

Well I own duke 250 gen 3 .
Features like quick shifter, bigger tyre section (rear) with radial tyre front, radial brake with 4 pison caliper (front)/2 piston rear, aluminium swing arm, switches quality....
Also r15 has better tft screen , quick shifter, maybe quality of engine which I feel ..
So that's why they are expensive as compare to ns400...
Also ns 400 is based upon ns200 body and frame slightly change make it affordable 400...

I would wait for a few months, since many people would jump to buy this. Realise 400cc gives abysmal mileage in city and proceed to sell it on Olx. Get it new and even cheaper lol!

I am going to buy the xpulse pro for traveling and exploring places. Can i switch to the 400z for touring purpose or stay with the xpulse. If i modify the 400z for touring purpose it is a great deal to switch from xpulse pro to 400z. I am so confused with this two bikes. Please guide......

Is a more powerful engine expected on the dominar?
When triumph 400s were released we knew bajaj can make bikes to cost. Now with ns400 bajaj has made a bike to cost so low.
NS400 is a solid option for anyone venturing into the 400 cc segment..
Bajaj always has given affordable performance to us!
Only one thing though:
This bike is several years late in the game because originally, they should have launched this instead of Dominar and should have avoided posing it as RE competitor (haathi mat paalo ads were fun but Dominar wasn't as sporty as it could have been in a Pulsar guise)
About the brakes .. we can get after market brembo brake callipers . Correct me if I’m wrong

As a RS200 owner, I could totally relate to bike hitting the speed breaker especially with a pillion.
Its beautiful, practical and afforadable..i like it, the Indian needs it...but i think those DRLs look too big, i would perfer the drls of apache

The one problem this motorcyle has is the subtle changes in design. They should have been drastic like the headlamp, go all out keep the silhouette but change the panels and lights drastically thats what this bike needs. Also couldve given wider tank covers to make it feel more bulkier with the same tank

Cb350 .. mileage+butter smooth engine+looks evergreen..but servicing a bit steep

Agree that this is a insane bike with 0 to 60 in less then 3 seconds and 0 to 100 in less then 6 seconds; but the mileage will be the huge issue. With 20/25 kilometres per litre in the best case scenario, this will be a fuel monster.
As for me I am the fan of Pulsar since 2002 when the very first of Naked 180 DTSI model came with the massive 18 litre tank, something today kids never saw in their entire lives.
If I have to buy a Pulsar, then the Pulsar 150 will be first choice or NS 160 for the highway adrenaline rush.
What adrenaline rush is a 160cc going to give that too on a highway?

Compare it with triumph speed 400. Although the pricing is different, I feel it will be a competitor because of engine specs.

This bike feels Okish, except for the pricing ! Hopefully they make a Ns400 F with semi fairing, a larger 15L fuel tank and big visor. The fastest Indian tag line needs a new bike.

Mt 15 is a 155cc motorcycle, whereas NS400 is a 400cc motorcycle. Your comparison doesn't make sense.

Not sure why we cannot make engine as refined as Honda's or Yamaha, that head light cowl looks like a mini skirt. Anyways decent bike overall.

Of course. Go to any bike shop that sells seat cover and you order custom seat cover to them and tell them how much mm foam you want.
