Well, despite all of the drama whether or not GMTV or the interviewer dissed MC or not, I do think it's quite cool that in 1991, 18 years before this interview, Mariah appeared on this same show as an up and coming successful artist. Now, she was introduced in 2009 as one of the most successful female artists of all time. The symmetry is quite beautiful.
This is a great interview- first of all Lorraine is such a good interviewer, really nice and relaxed and a nice lady! She interviewed Mariah a couple of times early in her career, also Mariah seems really articulate and glowingly happy, shame her and Nick broke up, they seemed really good for each other!!
The era of "Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel" is my favourite one post debut, because I think she was happiest and most accomplished, both creatively and personally.

I thought this was a very sweet interview. Mariah is obviously tired, but she's here for it and being a professional. Lorraine did her research and asked actual relevant questions. You can see how Mariah warms up as the interview goes on and opens up. Very nice.
I love Glitter, I don't understand why it has become, so to speak, infamous?! I vividly remember some scenes, especially the one where Mariah's character sits at the piano composing Reflection... I clearly remember the chemistry between that DJ and her, his face and that tragedy and the final scene... Oooh what a lovely film that is (Glitter) ... Sad it was badly received 😥😥😥
@LoboWarriorForever She was talking about the fact that the internet has become so popular, and that people are illegally downloading music now, where as before people used to run to the shop to buy the CD. Sales have gone down and CD stores are closing due to this!

Like before the internet people used to buy physical albums and now with the internet people don't really buy albums only songs. And sometimes they download songs for free which sucks for the artist because is like working without getting pay.
Last time Mariah was on Lorraine Kelly had slagged her off saying she was the rudest guest she had ever had, George Michael defended her & said he’d never do the show again. This interview must have been awkward but they kept it professional

I dunno though, Lorraine has been presenting forever lol so she might just be really good at dealing with people she isn't fond of! =]
I had lost a child when i was young in1991 and then when i was married I had my son at 34 weeks in 2006 which he spent 2 wks in the hospital and then when he was still like 4 months or so was realizing he may be autistic and 3 he was diagnosed.I also had my daughter 2008 and 3 months after contracted RSV and ended up spending time in the hospital which was very hard she had been intibated and then days after was extabated and she was fine after awhile but i also had to keep up
She meant the music business ignored the potential of the internet as a tool, so they gave away a diamond mine of money they could have made by utilising it

Its because it came out on 9/11. Theres an infamous picture among Mariah fans of a Glitter billboard with the Twin Towers burning in the background.
