- Another week...or two, at PLR. The CAM shipping group A build continues and we take a look at what else has made its arrival...another 14k mile RS500 to bring back to life. But its not all good news as Paul says goodbye to his collection of homologation race bikes.

Nissan R32 GTR.
The mechanical fuel pump is FVA/FVC with that Cosworth drive head, the bronze section is made by Lucas and is also used on the electric pump on a Triumph Pi. Designed to run over 120psi on Lucas Petrol Injection. Once the engine isrunning it should be possible to turn the electric HP pumps off if the supply is ok. The cable driven part on a BDA cam cover is the metering unit.
I would have kept the RC30….stunning bike.
That is a Cosworth Mechanical fuel injection Pump for a BDA,BDG & FVA.
To let those bikes go, it must be something pretty special to replace them, I'd definitely be shedding a tear. Paul, I think Steve deserves the nick name of santa as he has as much time off as father Christmas.😂.

I know the Nascar guys got tricky with fuel pumps - as the rules said 'The Engine Driven fuel pump must be retained' So they put one of those cable drives that drive off the accessory belt (toothed belt though) that you route the cable underneath the car and goes to a pump on top of the Fuelcell, I think Waterman make. (Still an engine driven pump innit?)

The fuel pump is a lucas PI mechanical belt drive pump. The front case may be a cosworth casting to fit the YB and may be the DFV. Oh and the Triumph PI. Its not a BDA pump, They were different

In 2006 I nearly bought a C reg 3 door prototype in 2006 in goog condition a moonstone think the reg was C had a cwx maybe in it, I managed to trace it had been on show when new at a ford dealer in Manchester, anyway it was on ebay on bids my final bid was £5650 I lost it by £50
