Math is open minded and got developed by the works of infinitely many countable mathematicians. Infact, the concept of zero is a Monopoly by Aryabhatta, but there were several concepts of zero and but their notations were different. Of course Arabic numerals and Hindi numerals got transferred to Europe. That is true. For example, algebra is coming from Arabic word "al-jebr" meaning reunion of broken parts

Vedic Mathematics ko log maths nahi balke dharm ke adhar per le rahe hai. Isliye ye xonfusion hai. Pahla to Vedic maths me sirf arithmatics ke short cuts bataya gya hai. Koi fundamental nahi bataya gya hai. Alebra, Calculous, abstract maths etc ka koi ullekh nahi hai.
गणित तो है, बशर्ते आप किताब की contents को एक बार समझने की कोशिश करें। यह वेदों में कहां है ,किस वेद में है या उसके परिशिष्ट में है इसका निर्णय नहीं हो पाया है।

वैदिक मंत्र कल्पना है जो आज सत्य नही है
ज्ञान विज्ञान का भंडार तो सिर्फ बौद्धों के पास था इसलिए उनकी ७० से ज्यादा युनिवर्सिटी मिली है। वैदिक युग का कोई भी गुरुकुल आज तक क्यों नहीं मिला है ? सवाल तो यह है कि ब्राह्मणों के पास इतना ज्ञान था तो चीन के यात्रियों ने सिर्फ बौद्ध धम्म का ही अध्ययन क्यों किया ? ४-५ शताब्दी में उन्हें क्यों नहीं ब्राह्मणों का कोई गुरुकुल दिखा ? बात तो यह है कि उनका तब कुछ था ही नहीं तो कैसे मिलता !!! आज जो कुछ यह दिखाते हैं सब मुगल काल और ब्रिटिश काल में लिखा हुआ है। 😅

हां इतना ज्ञान था बोद्धो की जिन यवनो को चंद्रगुप्त ने आज के अफगानिस्तान की सीमा के पार रखा और अलेक्जेंडर को सिंधू से आगे आने नहीं दिया वो अशोक के बुद्ध पंथ को ग्रहण करने के बाद इतना पतन हुआ कि उस काल का कुछ भी इतिहास नहीं मिलता। विश्वामित्र शुंग ने फिर से एक प्रयास किया लेकिन यह नकारा बौद्धो उसे भी गोबर कर दिया और इस्लामीयों से हारते चले गये। ये जो ज्ञान तुम्हें कांग्रेस की चाटूकार प्रोमिला थापर की पुस्तको से मिला है उससे बाहर आओ और सोचो भारत के पास ऐसा क्या था कि इस्लामी और ईसाई भारत आने का रास्ता खोजते थे।

मैं आप दोनों शिक्षाविदो की बात से सहमत हूं मैं भी अध्यापक हूं और बच्चों को विज्ञान गणित पढ़ाता हूं छठी से आठवीं में वैदिक गणित को पढ़ने पर बच्चे बहुत ही कंफ्यूज हो जाते हैं दैनिक जीवन में वैदिक गणित का उपयोग करने में सक्षम नहीं होते और परंपरागत गणित को भी भूलने लगते हैं
प्रो राम पुनियाणी और प्रो मुकेश आप दोनों ने अथर्ववेद में वर्णित तथाकथित गणित की अच्छी तरह विश्लेषण किया है । वास्तव में अथर्ववेद वेद है ही नहीं। गणित है किन्तु जोड़ ,घटाव, गुणा और भाग तक ही सीमित है। अथर्ववेद पढ़ते समय मैं हंसी नहीं रोक सका जब मैंने सम्मोहन, उच्चाटन और मारण के मंत्रों को पढ़ा वास्तव में वेद दो ही हैं । ऋग्वेद और यजुर्वेद। ऋग्वेद एक बार में नहीं लिखा गया । प्रारंभ में इन्द्र जल बरसाने वाले सर्वश्रेष्ठ देवता हैं । दसवें मंडल में विश्व नियामक की खोज है । बृहदारण्यक उपनिषद् में नियामक को परम तथा ब्रह्म कहा गया है और इसे अमूर्त बताया गया है । लिंग क्लीव लिंग है क्योंकि सर्वनाम तत् है ।
वेदों में मूर्ति पूजा नहीं है । ईशोपनिषद में परम को ईश कहा गया है । ईश्वर शब्द कब लाया गया यह कहना मुश्किल है ।हो सकता है यह बीसवीं सदी में इस शब्द का निर्माण किया गया हो। यह कुछ ऐसा है जैसा नागरी लिपि के साथ किया गया है । वर्ष१९१७ में काशी नागरी प्रचारिणी सभा की स्थापना हुई थी । स्पष्ट है कि देव बाद में जोड़ा गया।

वेदों के नाम पर बहुत ज्यादा भ्रामक चीजों को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है। लेकिन इस वजह से इस पूरे इतिहास को ही गलत बताया जा रहा है जिसकी वजह से हमारे पुरखों के पास जो भी मूलभूत ज्ञान था उसकी अनदेखी हो रही है। जो सही है और हमारे काम है तो उसे जरूर जानना चाहिए। जो जरूरी नहीं है उसे छोड़ना ही अच्छा है।

प्रोफेसर मुकेश जी गणित एक भाषा है जिसे भौतिकी और रसायन विज्ञान को बन्द कमरे में ब्लेक या वाईट बोर्ड पर अक्षर अंकों द्वारा गणना और मापन सुगम और बेहद खूबसूरत तरीके से बारम्बार प्रमाण निष्कर्ष निकाला जा सके। यह एक कला भी समझा जा सकता है। आजकल ये लोग विशेषकर ब्राह्मणवादी समर्थक जैसे BJP RSS के लोग इस तरह के प्रचार प्रसार में सत्य असत्य से परे कामों में व्यस्त हैं। आधुनिक गणित की बात तो दूर दूर तक इन नालायक और धूर्त लोगों की सोच से परे है अन्यथा ये लोग आज भी गाय की पेशाब क्यों पीते और पत्थरों को क्यों पूजते।
वैदिक गणित के नाम पर कुछ ट्रिक्स बताई जाती है जैसे 25x35 अब एक ट्रिक उसी के लिए लागू होती है जिसमें आखिरी में पांच हो। ऐसे ही जिसे वैदिक गणित बताकर पढ़ाया जाता है वो जोड़ गुणा भाग वर्ग आदि निश्चित संख्याओं के लिए लागू होता है। 10 क्लास में वैदिक गणित में वर्गमूल घनमूल के जो ट्रिक या नियम बताए, वो भी कुछ संख्याओं या अंको पर ही लागू हुए और बहुत कठिन भी हैं
Correction: Vedas were compiled during 1900 - 800 BC and Arya Bhatt and Bhaskar were about 2000 years after. Which of the Four vedas Shri Shankar Acharya is referring?? The major discussion of Atharv veda was regarding different MANTRAS which has nothing to do with Arithmetic or mathematics
I did not see Algeb ora nor Calculus in any of the Vedas. Logically, the abstract development of human mind had not reached the stage where calculus could be understood. The first attempt attempt in abstract thinking was witnessed in the developmen of Algebra (about 3000 years after Rig Veda)
Also, please note that Mathematics is not only Arithmetic.
FACTS:
1. There was NO writing when Vedas were compiled. Therefore, there is NO original written version of the Vedas.
2. The FOUR vedas were finished in 900 BC
3. There is NO math in Atharv Veda
4. Scientific / Mathematical thought's development is Step-By-Step. One CANNOT have PUSHPAK without the knowledge of Aeronautics (Advanced Mathematics + Physics + Chemistry). When I ask what type (internal combustion or external combustion or electric or nuclear, etc) of engine was used in Pushpak, then there is no answer. History tells that new religious thoughts (BUDDHISM and Jainism) and new advancement in math and science began coming up after Vedanta (end of Vedic period). In short, Vedic period stopped the writing, manufacturing, & citi civilization of the Hindus of Indus Valley.

Vedas couldn't be found before first century AD.
@@holycat8312 Because they were NOT fully in written form. After UPANISHADS (800 -600 BC), the writings of Vedas started. Pali and Bhrami were two written languages being use during Ashoka period (300 BC). The Hindus of Indus Valley had a written language similar to present day Tamil. However, the Aryans did not know how to write Sanskrit during their period 2000 BC - 800 BC.
The Devnagri script was used much later.

We in India have good reasons to be proud
of a rich heritage in science, philosophy and culture in general, coming to us down the ages. In
mathematics, which is my own area of specialisation, the ancient Indians not only took great
strides long before the Greek advent, which is
a standard reference point in the Western historical perspective, but also enriched it for a
long period making in particular some very fundamental contributions such as the place-value
system for writing numbers as we have today,
introduction of zero and so on. Further, the sustained development of mathematics in India in
the post-Greek period was indirectly instrumental in the revival in Europe after ”its dark ages”.
Notwithstanding the enviable background,
lack of adequate attention to academic pursuits
over a prolonged period, occasioned by several factors, together with about two centuries
of Macaulayan educational system, has unfortunately resulted, on the one hand, in a lack of
awareness of our historical role in actual terms
and, on the other, an empty sense of pride which
is more of an emotional reaction to the colonial
domination rather than an intellectual challenge.
Together they provide a convenient ground for
extremist and misguided elements in society to
”reconstruct history” from nonexistent or concocted source material to whip up popular euphoria.
That this anti-intellectual endeavour is
counter-productive in the long run and, more important, harmful to our image as a mature society, is either not recognised or ignored in favour
of short-term considerations. Along with the obvious need to accelerate the process of creating an awareness of our past achievements, on
the strength of authentic information, a more urgent need has also arisen to confront and expose such baseless constructs before it is too
late. This is not merely a question of setting the
record straight. The motivated versions have a
way of corrupting the intellectual processes in
society and weakening their very foundations in
the long run, which needs to be prevented at all
costs.
The so-called ” Vedic mathematics” is a case
in point. A book by that name written by Jagadguru Swami Shri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji
Maharaja (Tirathji, 1965) is at the centre of this
pursuit, which has now acquired wide following; Tirthaji was the Shankaracharya of Govardhan Math, Puri, from 1925 until he passed away
in 1960. The book was published posthumously,
but he had been carrying out a campaign on
the theme for a long time, apparently for several decades, by means of lectures, blackboard
demonstrations, classes and so on. It has been
known from the beginning that there is no evidence of the contents of the book being of Vedic
origin; the Foreword to the book by the General
Editor, Dr. A.S.Agrawala, and an account of the
genesis of the work written by Manjula Trivedi,
a disciple of the swamiji, make this clear even
before one gets to the text of the book. No one
has come up with any positive evidence subsequently either.
There has, however, been a persistent propaganda that the material is from the Vedas. In
the face of a false sense of national pride associated with it and the neglect, on the part of the
knowledgeable, in countering the propaganda,

I tried to take help of Vedic Mathematics, I found that this was nothing but shortcuts which I had to remember. There is no any uniform rule to ine kind of mathematical operation, it keep on changing with same kimd of problems with a set different digits. So in my opinion it is offcourse not a matrmatics at all.

I am a mathematician. I don't believe in any dominated theory. Vaidik mathematics is a business strategy today, it is a myth. Math is open minded and got developed by the works of infinitely many countable mathematicians. Infact, the concept of zero is a Monopoly by Aryabhatta, but there were several concepts of zero and but their notations were different. Of course Arabic numerals and Hindi numerals got transferred to Europe. That is true. For example, algebra is coming from Arabic word "al-jebr" meaning reunion of broken parts
