What if Melee's Opening included the entire Roster? (Hand-Drawn)

- To celebrate #Melee20th Anniversary coming up on November 21st, I rotoscoped the opening movie from Super Smash Bros. Melee and incorporated the hidden / unlockable characters. There are about 500 images drawn in this, and it took me around two weeks to complete. #SSBM #Melee

To create these scenes, I used my Huion KAMVAS Pro 16 Drawing Tablet for illustration and Adobe Premiere Pro to animate.

Would've been so mind-blowing if the opening changed to this after unlocking all characters in the game. Maybe it was planned, but they weren't givin enough time in the end. Great job on this! 👍

It took me until this to realize Luigi isn’t in the normal opening cutscene, his placement in the Giga Bowser scene makes a lot of sense

remember when smash games didn't spoil every new character in the intro?
i sure do.
starting with brawl, the intros were less about showing their game in a compelling artistic way and more about showing off what's new. 64 and melee openings really set the stage and were kinda love letters to the games each character was from. brawl and on was just "hey guys new smash game! check out our new characters. we promise this one is different from the last one!"
Yeah Melee and 64's openings simply outclass the others.
I imagined this exact same when I was a kid and wanted a full roster opening after unlocking everyone. It's uncanny.
