Happy Father’s Day to all but especially to my dad, Ray Murdoch. Most of you know dad, who never met a joke he didn’t like.
To honor my dad, I’ve got the most Dad story to tell you. Last year on the Ireland tour, we were visiting the Belfast city hall for a photo stop. Some folks needed the restroom and headed to a nearby loo. Apparently, visitors may not use the city hall loo, and we were all chased out by an angry security guard who was yelling at everyone. She was mad as a hornet, so my dad went over to talk to her. I don’t know exactly what he said to her, but this was how it ended, with the city hall guard laughing and singing with dad. I guess it’s that old Irish charm.
