St. Joan of Arc is my Confirmation patroness; I chose her because I wanted to be a strong leader of others in the ways of the Church. I pretty much failed, but I tried, or thought I did. But maybe not so much.
Among my favorite of saints.
It was ST Joan of Arc's feast day in my country yesterday. I think she gave me courage during a sad and tiring day. Thank you for this wonderful video. I was not aware that it was her feast day, have loved St Joan since I was a small child. I am Louise from Ireland. Thank You and God Bless.
I felt that she gave me courage today too - on a day very like the one you describe.
I chose her for my confirmation saint for many reasons personally and to hold firm in my faith to believe anything can be won when we persist, to believe in my ability to act well and wisely as she did even unto martyrdom for her faith! St. Joan pray for us! We need to stand firm more now than ever! To speak truth no matter the cost!

I absolutely love St Joan of Arc but particularly St Michael. These saints have been given to us by God. The Church needs now, more than ever before their intercessions. We need them to help us fight the present battles we are facing and those on the horizon. We have nothing to fear when we have St Michael and St Joan of Arc on our side.
St Joan of Arc's faith, strength, courage and confidence is such an inspiration and example to me and to all women. She has been my strength during a very dark time of persecution by the clergy, for speaking out about a priest pedophile and like her, I WILL NOT back down.

Not saying President Trump is a saint, but interesting timing that he was found guilty of all charges in the hush money trial on the memorial of Saint Joan of Arc who was wrongly convicted of heresy. How can her Feast Day be restored as a Universal Feast Day in the Church? Anything the laity can do??

How AWFUL, that they removed her feast day from the universal calendar. Completely shameless, that lot in Rome.
Jehanne la Pucelle became a saint 500 years after her death, only in 1920 . You should read that particular debate concerning her canonization , this is fairly recent history, easy to find out.... Her life is a bit more complex.
Say, what is that about the feast being removed, given how the title of the video, Wikipedia, and my own (local?) Catholic calendar say her feast day was May 30.
The more recent research on our Saint does not hold that she was mad. Her responses under trial show how reasoned her responses were and how deep her theological knowledge was. And yet she was illiterate! Her interogators were overawed and concerned that they were wrong. Yes Father, she was told she would be betrayed and would die as a martyr.
Catholic Church: Remove her feast day???? Shame. SMH. God makes some strong women saints. (They always say if men had to have babies there wouldn't be very many. ) Thank you Father.
