Love scratchy sponges on the pop filter. I just don't understand ASMR-tists who don't wear headphones. It's like an artist painting blind. Knowing the proper pressure for consistent sounds that don't over modulate is impossible and so you end up with harsh sounds that infrequently pop in and out of the session. Also 10 min ASMR videos are no bueno in my opinion. 20 minutes minimum unless you are doing a youtube short. 10 min is even hard to loop because the repeats come too often and that causes the mind to notice them much more.
Hello! I appreciate all the feedback, and the months of support 🙂 I've just never gotten around to using headphones while recording. In fact, I'm slightly tech illiterate, so I'm not even entirely sure how to get my mic/camera setup to play back what it's recording 🤣 I think there's a headphones plug in next to the mic plug in on my camera, perhaps that's it? I'll look into it for some of my future videos 🙂
10-15 minute videos seem to just work well for me, particularly for my style of simpler videos. Too much longer and it starts taking awhile to actually produce and upload the video. Like the time it takes the computer to actually move the files around takes a long time, and it does not seem that people tend to watch the longer videos much more than the shorter videos (based off average watch time). However, I tend to post a compilation video of triggers every week that are about 30 minutes or longer! As well as no-talking audios of most of my videos since the past couple of weeks. So if you're looking for that type of longer or loopable content, you can check those out 🙂
