I also think Ashley and Candiace could never be friends because Ashley is a dummy and was intimidated by Candiace. Ashley (and everybody else) had the upper hand on Candiace when she came in as a newby. And it seems like Candiace is actually nice and tries to genuinely connect with the other women but when they burn her she pops off. Ashley could never take Candiace because like we see this season, she used her platform to put out an album, get acting roles, and finished a Masters in Business. Ashley could see the genuine confidence that Candiace possesses and has been extremely jealous under the surface. Not to bring up season 5, I think it's a similar thing with her and Monique. Ashley and Monique's careers (as housewives) are hugely based off of the men that they partnered with to be able to be on these shows. Candiace is on this show because of Candiace, having a wedding on the show is a good storyline, but she's never been dependent on Chris to have a place to stay or a job!
👏🏿 Ashley did all that to only end up w/ a house she can't afford. She's getting a divorce from Michael but he still gets to run her life. Meanwhile, Candiace is flourishing!
She really does try to connect with people. That’s why I immediately took to her when she came on. It was a breath of fresh air and she made things FUN.

What Phaedra said was worse because Kenya didn't have any kids at the time and was actively researching how to safely conceive and carry to term.
I agree, but for some reason, the standards for what is appropriate and inappropriate change based on the speaker. For example, Nene mocked Kandi's body, specifically her large thighs. I believe she said in her confessional that Kandi's thighs were HHHHUUUUGGGEEE! People snickered at that comment, and it was replayed on WWHL. When Phaedra continuously called Kenya an "Oatmeal pie face," people retweeted that confessional clip several times with crying laughing emojis in the caption. Or when Ashley commented on Ray's shriveled penis, no one seemed to care. However, today we condemn Candice for commenting on her castmates' bodies. What exactly does Candice say that her peers haven't already said? What is the standard?
Giselle is a mess but I think that insult hit viewers in the gut and not the intended target. This shows target audience is middle aged women, many of whom have fertility issues and or female problems. She made herself less likable & relatable with that comment. That said I like Candiace, but I’m not a regular viewer.
Ashley and the other lights have that age old issue of I am the pretty light one and I should be living the life they have..
Ashley was an idiot cause based on what I saw this season Ashley never wanted to see a lawyer about the divorce and even when the lawyer explained not to buy the house together cause that is a problem she still went ahead and did that shit. She obivously didn't make anybody check her pre or post nuptial agreement or maybe she used Michael's lawyer which is stupid and even when looking for a house wasn't it Michael's assistant who was helping her. Uncle Lump and Sheila must be saying this girl got no sense. Her uncle kept telling her get a lawyer to check everything out but nope.
When Michael and Ashley were fighting that one season, she made it clear that as long as she was with Michael she was going to make sure Michael's money supported her momma --Sheila. That season Michael was threatening to not pay the mother's rent because Sheila had a deadbeat drug addict live-in boyfriend/baby daddy living with her. That is Ashley's little sister's father. Sheila was how old that season? Well over 30 -years-old.
Wendy was trying to give Mia the benefit of the doubt by not accosting her about having cancer. I think Wendy thought Mia was putting 20 on 10 but was gonna give her the benefit of the doubt by seeing how things play out. Mia IS a liar but that distinction she was making about the board and managing members is true because when I was trying to set up my LLC the people at the state office was trying to explain the difference to me🙄 and I still don’t get it 5 years later.
I really gotta try to learn that stuff. In my case it doesn’t matter as much because I’m the only one in the LLC but I’m sure I could make it work for me if I understood it🤷🏾♀️.
