All good to know info. 100% Acetone has many uses. Thank you for showing and discussing the difference between screen printing and vinyl.
i have this cute black zip up hoodie and it goes so well with my outfits but the print ruins it bc it has my school logo-
I hope it works for you just do a test swatch.
Haha i have the same exact problem except mine is a school sweater, not a hoodie
Same, I tried tie-dying using bleach on an old t-shirt with school logo and the result was really nice, so now I want to get rid of the logo.
Mine too, wanna remove the school logo badly
Omg same i have a really cute sweater from my school and it has the logo and it annoys me now that I’m not in the school anymore 💀
I watched this thinking I'd never need it but I am making a tshirts quilt and my iron melted some of the design and spread it out and I was able to clean it up with acetone. Thank you!
who else here after carti dropped his new merch
💀💀💀💀
😂
lmao
LOL
I’m here after Supreme dropped a cross box logo
Omg! I tried this……IT FREAKING WORKED! On polyester! We LOVE shopping at thrift stores and he found this awesome jacket but it had a logo of a DATING APP…..anyway. I told him buy and I’ll figure out how to remove it if that fails we can buy a patch and iron it over the logo….NO NEED FOR THAT!!!! Thankyou Ms. Lorena you rock!
I’m
So happy it worked.
Cool! I have nba jersey that is 100% polyester and will try this method lol. Got it for $15 and want to remove old player name
Can't wait to try this on my yoga gear bag that sports the brand of an old employer!
I wonder if after you apply and wait for it to bubble if you apply packaging tape if it would remove the paint more cleanly🤔
Great to know the difference between screenprint and vinyl.
I requested custom design and where to be placed onto black t-shirts, received them-vinyl,our design was totally changed and placed in wrong area, soooo watching your video saved our day THANK YOU 👍
Here in my country we traditionally use the cloth from sack of flour as a diaper alternative for new Borns just until they start eating real food (cause their poop and pee don't stink as much cause they only drink milk), to soften and remove the print from it, we soak it in paint thinners, usually gasoline, put it in a tight lid container and soak it, agitate with a stick until it fully removed you could also rub the fibre against each other for faster removal. Finished product is a soft white cloth. Of course you'd still have air dry it in the sun so the smell evaporates and then wash it thoroughly so with soap until it doesn't stink anymore
Thank you fro this i had a black zip up from when i worked at chipotle and i couldn’t get the words off thank you for this
Hey!!!! Using a good quality sanitizer works too
Really?🤨
2020 solution

Lemme try lmao
You made me laugh. "It's kinda the same thing, only totally different" LOL
Off topic but I love your eyeshadow 😍😍
thank you for this! i saw a couple videos with vinyl where it peeled easily and picked up some t shirts from goodwill. should have done more research before buying lol. i’ll keep trying though, worst case scenario if it comes out bad they will be good for painting in 😅
Does it damage or there's discoloration if used on 100% cotton TShirts
Do you think using a fabric dye would help conceal what is left on the shirt?
has anyone tried this?
What do I do if the cloth is not stretchy?
This is really helpful as I have a white crop too that would look good with some Japanese on the back! Thank u!
Did it work for you?
Thank you for the tutorial if the screen printing ink is water based I’ve been washing it right away and it will come off completely
tryna get that live laugh love off
Thank you for this video! I have shirts from my old job(we had to buy them) and I wanna get the branding off them so I can wear them without causing issue relating to my current job!
the same reason i clicked on this video
is the tshirt used 100% polyester or a blend? would the acetone bleach a 50/50 cotton?
It’s a blend
OMG Buc-ees i miss buc-ees before the corona thing happened their restrooms are clean ♡
This is great! I love my backpack but hate the company that gave it to me.
I tried this method and the screen printing spread all over my shirt and it didn't completely come off😭😭😭😭
Oh man that’s what I was scared about after watching the video and now decided I won’t do it. Good to know it doesn’t fully work and can leave a bigger mess unfortunately
Happy Thanksgiving Lorena. Yo agradezco a D-s conocer personas maravillosas como usted.
I like your hair. Thanks for the video.
How to remove paint from cotton court???
I have a black vinyl/polyester type bag that I want to remove lettering from I’m hoping it works
اني جربت الاستيون بعدما عجزت عن خلع رقم من قميص كرةة القدم افظل مادةة
I love her speech 🥺🥺so cute
I have a tshirt with an old butterfly on it. It’s all cracked and hardened and I’ve tried this and it didn’t work for that but worked for others. Do you know what might work?
What did you do?
Hello! I tried it but the acetone left a white stain on my dress. While ironing, did you iron through the back of the print or directly on the print?
Lorena I wanted to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for the videos that you put out I really enjoy them. You keep me company while I sewHave a wonderful day and stay safe.
Thank you! You too! I really do appreciate you taking time to comment and watch my videos..

I am not having this Acetone what to do how to do plz tell
"It's kinda the same thing as vinyl but vinyl is totally different."
She said wha??? 🤣
I m searching the clip that show how to remove the painting logo on my back pack. Luck to get its 👍🏻
Thank for Your sharing 💙
Thanks so much for this! It works brilliantly!!!!
Good to know I can do this, saw some nice shorts but they have weird skull paintings on them. Hope this will work 😆
It really works. I want to thank you very much for this, I watched the video from Egypt🇪🇬❤️
I’m so glad it worded for you
@@ToniNov25 thank you ❤️❤️
Can you please tell me if that Hanes logo on that shirt is vinyl or screen print and if this method can remove that red logo
Is it safe to put in the washer and dryer after removing the logo?
Yes .. the shirt .. yes
Hi just to start amazing video very informative thank you but do u know how to do it if the lettering is old and cracked?? Thank you in advance
Can I use nail polish remover ?
Yes u can but it has to be 100% acetone
Theres a shint film left over on mine how do i remove it 😢😢
you just saved my under armour jacket.
thank you!
I’m glad it worked for you
Thank u for sharing this. I got a beautiful Jesus bag with someone else’s name printed on it by accident when I received it and I will do this to take the name off of it. ???? Will the acetone make the fabric thinner?
Great video! thank you for all of the much needed details! I will keep them all in mind!
be cool
I accidentally ironed across the edge of a tee shirt decal while making a tee shirt quilt for a customer and it smeared down the shirt. Here’s hoping this helps remove the smear! 🙏🏻
Lorena you’ve saved my a$$ more than once! I’m new in the business. Love you!
Thank you so much
This helped me a lot
Is it okay if I remove a print in a tie dye shirt? Will the color of the tie dye will not fade?
thanks im doing this on my old martial arts hoodie, the person who taught me (and the only teacher) lied to me, after 4 years of being in martial arts. he said he will never reward a person for doing nothing. yet he lied. my parents were paying 200 dollars a month for my sister and I to be in it, for 4 years straight, which is a ton of money. during 2020 in covid, he was making crappy 5 minute videos and still charging the full amount. for like 2 months straight he didnt even post anything. MY PARENTS WERE STILL PAYING. Then my mom complained and since the dude has anger issues he kicked us out. we bought his merchandise and we were on the "SWAT" team, paying extra to help the younger groups. the sweatshirt im doing this on is very good quality, i still dont really care about it though. his logo is on the back of the sweatshirt ruins it. i love everything besides the back.
I pray you can remove the logo.. sorry about what’s happened..
Thanks... LIked! I had no luck with acetone on a coton shirt's screen printing. How about paint remover... or oven cleaner? Any thoughts?
Thanks again...
When you are removing the screen printing there is a sweet spot where the paint bubble and you can get it off. The problem is that the acetone drys quickly and the paint drys. So I recommend doing small sections. Also it is really hard to completely make the shirt look like brand new.. When the heat press imbeds the paint into the fibers of the shirt. It does a heat stain even when you remove all the screen printing. I use this when I will heat press again something on the shirt.
i messed up a shirt!!! do i have to let the ink dry first??
New knowledge and good experiment
Hi how can I remove flock velvet from a football shirt potentially without hopefully leaving a mark
Does this work on 50 cotton and 50 polyester sweaters
Can I do this on cotton material?
Yes.. but it may leave an ghost imprint because the heat when it was pressed can change the color of the fabric
What is this name of ponds
Hello Lorena,
I have a denim jacket that has a massive logo on the back with: POLO SPORT, and a huge american flag. It's a nice jacket, but at my age l would rather it was not there......l think it is some sort of vinyl, it seems to be ingrained into the denim. I have tried putting the iron on it....set at its maximum heat, but no result. I was hoping to remove it and leave just a darker image on the denim where it was. Is it possible to remove it, and what would l need to do.
MANY THANKS STEVE.
is it work to puff print mam?
Thank youuuu auntieee for these videos it helps so much , you a explain so clear and you are beautiful
Ah thank you 😊
Vinyl or NYLON ??????????????
youre literally the best
Thank you!
Thank you, helpful.
awesome, very informative!
does it work on polyester
Bought hoodie from friend and has skulls i like to remove thx
Cam I do this to 70% cotton and 30% polyester brown hoodie?
i have a really nice red oversized hoodie. problem is, my mom bought it and she doesn't know anything about modern celebrities. in conclusion, she made the horrible mistake of buying me an NBA youngboy hoodie with his face plastered on the front. I'm trying to remove it. I'm probably gonna replace his face with something simple like a box with a black and white yumeko on the inside
L you W mom
What if I have white, 100% cotton shirts? Black screen printing ink…I did an order, got cancelled and now need to kill the designs on them so I can have my shirts back.
It may stain the white .. that could be thought to do
Very nice painting
Can we remove printed ink letters??
i have some very comfy gym shorts but i hate how they have my school logo
Does this work with hats also?
Pretty hands 🙌
No working my orrignal tshirt fucked up 😢😢
It's actually not paint, but a special ink called plasticol, resembling paint. Common mistake.
Thank you for letting me know
Thanks 😍🙏
I just bought a t shirt and it hasnt arrived but I have to remove the date on the design. I want to put a new date over it. Does that sound like a bad idea?
No it should work
Yo, acetone, wear that rainjacket
i think you can redye the shirt with the blue dye maam
Yes I could great idea..
It didn't bubble up, does it mean that my nail polish remover wasn't 100% acetone? (didn't remove the print either)
Yes it has to be acetone 100% regular nail polish won’t work I tried it 🥴😊
@@ToniNov25 okay, now I need to find 100% acetone and that might be hard bc we call both acetone and nail polish remover 'acetone' in my country (we don't have a word for it). It doesn't help that what I used didn't even display the percent of acetone in it anywhere 🥳
Will this work on a 50/50 blended hoodie?
Do a test swab it it vinyl yes.. be careful it can burn the fabric and leave a stain.
Super
I have hoodie with "gameboy™" some kids pay too much attention to it, some my age people say gay-boy as a joke.😂🤦🏻♂️
that's a really cool shirt tho
I have a nail polish remover that is 96% acetone.. would this work? And will it stain? Trying to remove vinyl logo on a pair of nylon/spandex blend leggings
I’m not sure do a test
Yeah.. this would probably do poorly on black...
Hi... You have any solution for pad printing logo remove from cotton t-shirt?
Please let me know
No .. I’m sorry
Mam i have a question for you what kind of acetone do you used
100% acetone will work any type
Not me literally also trying to do this to my Buckeyes t shirt
Same as vinyl but totally different.. my truck takes diesel... but I'll put gas in it, it's the same but totally different
When I put acetone in a plastic cup (to remove acrylic nails) the acetone burned through the plastic...... so is this safe? Also the sticker that inhabe on my shorts is different to all the videos I’ve seen on UA-cam. I’m not sure if it’s screenprinting or vinyl
It’s a ribbed pair of shorts and it’s 60% cotton and 40% polyester
Acetone dissolves some plastics, as you noticed.
it ain’t bubbling
Es efectivo el método pero la verdad queda manchada la tela y no me gusta el resultado
Si yo entiendo es pat poner otro logo
@@ToniNov25 gracias por tu respuesta
