Stag Horn | Rose ~ Areas Hartpury ~ 17/02/24

So, so proud of Stag and Rose representing HDRC in the areas at Hartpury, where they both qualified for nationals!
Stag is the baby of the team, he only had his first competition a couple of weeks ago! But he managed a very fast clear in the first class, to come 1st in the team and 3rd individually (.7 of a second off winning). So proud of how cool he was, he was just loving every second and living his best life!
He was a little too over excited for his second round and I tried to tame the crazy (“we’re not in the jump off yet Stag”) but I should have just matched his crazy because he only likes a long shot and is his happiest when going as fast as possible, so when I steadied him and he came in a little short, we rolled a couple of rails, but he still came 2nd in the team (mostly thanks to Lauren)!
Lauren went for broke because I’d had poles so she knew Rose was only getting to nationals with an individual 1st. But of course they got it, Rose has already been to nationals twice, she just loves it so much! The most consistent little lady who is aging so gracefully and has her happy height now. So chuffed with her, not only for her individual 1st but also for bringing the team up to 2nd!
