@@therealityofitall4819 Unfortunately you don't understand gang culture until you're in it. There were very few at DR who weren't banging. It's still debatable if he was MOB but if they were the homies, he associated, the other side doesn't care about the semantics. In any case that was a very young brother and plenty of us did things at 25 that could've gotten us killed or behind bars for being young and foolish.

A reporter once asked Pac “how come one song is F-k the world and another song is Keep your head up..” ? Pac replied “because I don’t wake up feeling the same every day.. do you? Sometimes I feel down and like F-k the world.. and other times I feel more optimistic.”
He always kept it real. He was three dimensional.

That’s why I been saying Marlon should play him in a movie. He’s the only one that can play Pac and his multiple personalities as a Gemini. We have yet to see someone play the smart and the funny sides. Then we also never got the playboy side because it seems like all the movies we have now try to make it seem like he was celibate as the only convincing reason why he was innocent during the rape accusation.

Honestly I think Pac would’ve been the hip hop version of Malcolm X. It was a HUGE blow to the young black community when he was murdered. That was the kind of influence he had on young black people. We were moving in a positive pro black direction. When we lost Pac and groups like Eric B and Rakim, Public Enemy, XClan etc slowly went out of fashion gangsta rap just took over.

People really don't understand the basics.
Tupac was a nice guy, until death row.
You can say as much as you want, but one thing is certain: the environment changes people!!!
When you're surrounded by gangsters, you inevitably become one. Or at least you start playing gangster.
The Tupac from before that we see in interviews is clearly not the same one who threatened death to everything that moves.
      His entourage completely changed him!!!
And that's what the common adage goes: Tell me who you hang out with, I'll tell you who you are!
Watch his mother's interview after his death, you realize who Tupac was before all this gangster nonsense!

@sirdopeness3602 You're wrong on the "never did any shooting." Tupac actually shot two off-duty cops who were harassing a black man in Atlanta - after one of them brandished a gun when Tupac stepped in. Tupac shot one of the cops in the stomach and the other one in the ass. The cops were found to be drunk and in possession of stolen guns, so Tupac didn't get in trouble as a result.
And as far as the different topics Tupac rapped about - that just shows his range and versatility as a rap artist. His versatility extended to movies as well. Too bad Tupac (and Biggie) didn't get to stick around for more decades.

What does that even mean? Think about what you're saying honestly and not from a point where you're completely brainwashed by mainstream society. What does that even mean? Tupac perpetuated a womanizing, killing other black people society through his music when he wasn't even that guy. He was a young, quite, poet, and actor. Then, for money he got Thug Life tattooed across his stomach and perpetuated murder music that's only gotten worse and worse. In most major cities the murder rate is at least 500 people a year. 50% of all murder victims are black and 55% of all murders are committed by black people. Did Tupac love his people or did he try to enrich his own life and that's it?

And he from New York and Baltimore! And disrespects the East Coast like that!? That's not cool. I love Tupac but that was horrible what he did to the black community starting a nationwide dis.
With great power comes great responsibility that ain't just a marvel movie saying. That's real.
After he got shot he shouldn't have did all that he should've attacked the people that violated him if there was a violation but there's a lot of different stories about his first shooting.

The mainstream 'elites' used Tupac to perpetuate crime life. He probably realized it and that's why they had to get him but he was a paid actore.

Just to give you an example of what Tipac was back in the days. I was 16 when he was shot, a white kid bornand raised in a white country in the middle of Eastern Europe. I cried like a baby that day, I had a MAKAVELI tattoo soon after. Remember, I was 16, my parents were blown away by this tattoo. I have it to this day. Tupac meant so much for young people around the globe - his style, his persona, his lyrics, his music, the rebellion he had within him. He was and still is to me - larger than life.

He wasn’t as lyrical as nas or rakim but he made you feel, you feel like he understands what you’re going through. Every rapper from Eminem to 50 have said there was no 1 like him ever, he changed hip hop forever. Rest in peace to Makaveli the don! ‘71-to infinity!
