They never exactly explain techniques in this show but Tengen’s “Musical Score” is his ability to analyze his opponents attacks throughout a fight and break down the “rhythm” of their movement. In his head their movement appears to him like written music which lets him predict when he needs to dodge or block. The only downside is it takes a long time for him to “write the music” which is why he didn’t use it at the start of the fight. The musical score is the only reason he could still keep up with Gyutaro after losing his hand.
The time it takes to complete the technique usually depends on how skilled his opponent is. If the opponent is someone like say, Tanjiro or Rui where they have easy to read techniques and are unable to use those techniques efficiently, then he can complete it quite quickly. But for someone like Gyutaro where his attacks are extremely varied, there are a lot of techniques, and his physical abilities dwarf Uzui's, it takes a lot longer for Uzui to complete his technique as there are too many variables and he has to survive each pattern at least once to predict it.
Sort of like a Rhythm game. As the difficulty increases, the number of beats increase as well as the speed they come. Of course, the pattern of the beats also become more sporadic making it even more difficult to follow the beat/pattern.
Tengen plus the visuals hinted at it and Gyutaro ellaborated when he was on the side of the wall so I would say they did.
@@드래곤원-h4j imagine if he wasn't poison and had his other hand, he would be a killing machine.
Inosuke moving his heart can feel outta left field, but the explanation is that
1. We know he has godly amounts of flexibility, shown from the 1st season and more in this season so that allows him the ability to shift his heart by a few inches
2. Its said once so I understand its easy to miss, but in episode 5 (before Tanjiro blood eyes fight), Inosuke was fighting the conscious worm belt that was splintered from Daki, its shown that Inosuke is overpowering it and the belt goes off into a monologue about Inosuke's skills. It says quote, "His intuition is razor-sharp! Especially his ability to detect murderous intent is extraordinary! So sensitive... he can perceive attacks from any direction and dodge them!" This is the most important quote that explains how Insouke dodged death by heart piercing.
Inosuke, while holding Daki's head on episode 16, perceived and felt Gyutaro's murderous intent and attack coming from behind him even without seeing or hearing him. Unfortunately, Gyutaro can speed blitz Insouke in movement, so the next best thing to avoid death for Insouke was to move his heart so it wouldn't be punctured by Gyutaro.
You guys make great videos and thank you for the content!
Yeah, this is why I enjoyed the explanation as to why he didnt die. It may feel like a deus ex machina, but it's a mesh of habilities we have seen from him b4. And they even showed us his godlike flexibility just a few eps b4, so it didnt came out of anywhere.
Demon Slayer might not be a story driven anime with thought put into every single detail, but almost everythimg we have seen so far wasnt just pure plot armor, but rather had an explanation consistent with what we have seen so far.
The first season also display Inosuke heightened Sense when he sense the Spider Demon mother.
Yeah the last part was cutted in the anime. In the manga he says he heard gyutaro coming and shifted the position of his heart
@@The_dunkman No u r wrong. About Inosuke feeling murderous intent is actually spoiler. It is in the last arc and Tanjiro flashback asking Inosuke how did he survive

Tengen’s wife poisoned herself to try to escape the district
@@thetruesquad5059 she thought she was gonna get caught, so she poisoned herself to have an excuse to leave the district and report back to Tengen.
Organs shifting is actually a thing all be it involuntary. When people are opened up for surgery, the surgeons don't really need to put everything all nice and neat and they just have to put the organs relatively close to where it should be. Our bodies automatically arranges them back in it's proper place overtime.
About Inosuke, don't forget this was actually set-up in previous episodes, which in my opinion makes it valid. Before going underground Inosoke specifies that he can basically shift everything around in order to go through the tiny hole, and while fighting the belt demon the belt demon specifies that Inosukes seems to be able to detect attacks even when they're coming from the back.
Also, the wife poisoned herself, she wasn't poisoned by the demon.
I think it’s actually weird that he has more time shifting his organs just before being stabbed than just avoiding it
Having flexible joints, being able to dislocate your bones is not nearly the same thing with shifting the position of your organs. So no, this wasnt really set up beforehand.
Unless you are telling me dislocating joints also indicates an ability for organ shifting -there is no logical correlation between the two.
It was an asspull.
@@Lasvta._ I think that he changed his organs a long time a go, probably because he knows that Everybody goes for the heart, so maybe he changed thinking: "if everybody goes here, i'm gonna put me heart in other place".

I don't care how goddamn flexible you are, you're not moving your organs around
Other than that though, this arc is great
@@TechnoArpan okay are we literally criticising realism in shonen ? Lmao you can’t be serious
At first I was really confused about what people say about the plot of the first season not grabbing them.
I resonated deeply with tanjiro and nezukos bond, so the story moved me beyond tears. The simplicity of the elements of the story make it great to me and while I could see other people having a different taste, the shows success stems (in my opinion) from it‘s great emotional value, not the “hype“.
Yeah, it's obviously very simple, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It works for this anime. Also, I think the 'plot twists' in this season aren't great, and for all of Carson and Lindsay's talk about it being overhyped, and all it had was good animation, they were drawn into this season's excellent animation. Sometimes, you don't need complex stories, and if an anime is fun, does it matter?
@@jeffthampuran6054 I totally agree. It is because it’s simple, that everyone can resonate with it. Feelings are universal, and the essence of every story. The animation is a great way to enhance those feelings and add some exiting elements.
@@jeffthampuran6054 I don't think it actually as simple as people make it out to be. It's actually quite deep and intriquette in ways. The fact that people miss many explanations and why things happen in this show, just goes to show how many things in this anime flies over people's heads.
@@mastixencounter agree 100%. I see so many people missing many simple plot elements in the story while simultaneously claiming the story is simple and not complex.
Voice actor Ryota Osaka did such a superb job as Gyutaro,, probably one of the best I have seen. This will probably go down as my favorite episode of all the animes I have seen! Masterfully done!
It's been a while since I last watched this fight, and man it gets me hyped. One of the best things I've witnessed in all my years of watching anime. Demon Slayer totally slayed, this was a climax well-executed. Amazing, just amazing.
What an episode.. Suspense from start to finish, and that cliffhanger.
One of the goats in my opinion, the animation was movie quality.
I think it's bigger than a movie fight scene . Its so much expensive to do a fight scene in live action .
I just wanna say this reaction vid is really well edited. It doesn't feel like you removed anything from the episode despite finishing the reaction under 15 minutes. Every major point (and then some) was in the reaction. This is well done.
To be VERY fair, Inosuke has shown us many times he can literally dislocate his bones like nothing and put them back together.......I would believe he can move his heart a little as well
It was THAT week when both AOT and Demon Slayer just shooked the anime community to the core, it left a fucking mark so big that it looked like they literally said "2022 will be a big fucking blast starting with us!" which it did. Although it is still November, I still think this entire fight is the best fight this year.
The last explosion was Gyutaro trying to use his "rotating circular sickles" and it was delayed so it occurred after his head got cut
Yeah, its like in season 1, tanjiro fought the demon with his eyes on both his hands(I forgot the demon's name), and when tanjiro cut off the demon's head, the demon use his last blood demon art during the disintegrating until he's totally ashed. (Sorry for the grammar, im not good at speaking straight english)
11:50 anime skipped it, but his blades are made in a special way that together with his strength causes explosion like effect.
@@ryanpalyo8181 me too. i thought his pants had like hundreds of tiny bombs he would throw every time he slashes
@@ryanpalyo8181 I do think he also throws tiny bombs in conjunction with his attacks: if you looks closely, you can see him throwing them out as he attacks or while he deflects the blood sickles. I also assumed the surrounding explosions while they fought were his bombs being deflected by Gyutaro and launched elsewhere.
@@isaackim8510 that was my main assumption, just original comment kinda implied it was just the sword design, which didn’t really make a ton of sense anyway imo
He does both. When using his breathing techniques, a lot of those explosions are from the bombs. But his swords are also embedded with explaosive power themselves. Here's one quote from the manga “His swords contain extraordinary explosive power. No one they’ve hit has ever survived, so he doesn’t know exactly what they do”
Btw it's never stated in the show but Tengen's swords are laced with the same stuff his bombs are made out of. That's why there was an explosion when the two of them clashed
yes, but he does also use his bombs in conjuncture with his breathing techniques as well.
1:10 the wife that got poisoned actually poisoned herself. She knew Daki was suspicious of her, so she poisoned herself to fake being sick or whatever to try and get out of the house to escape her and get back to Tengen. She does state that back when Tengen first found her
I remember having to wait for all the last 3-4 episodes… also AOT releasing same day as this episode… probably the best week of anime the world’s ever seen *sigh* good times.
yes but i cant lie, CSM, MHA and spy family all airing at the same time i close to as good
Inosuke actually demonstrated his ability to move his internal organs earlier in the arc, when he went through Daki’s secret tunnel.
That wasn't internal organs, just dislocating his bones. But inosuke will explain how he did it in season 4
ahh yes, the episode where i got my ass whooped for screaming in the middle of the night 💀💀💀
I forgot what AOT episode was aired alongside this episode but all I remember was that they were both bangers
yeah it was a razy combo, same way we have chainsaw man and Bleach at the same time this season
About the poison and the heart of Inosuke, at this point, as an spectator, you don't know if Inosuke was stabbed at his heart, Tanjiro just asked if he had been stabbed at his heart last episode as he wasn't able to see it, it wasn't confirmed at all, I don't know why you were so obsessed with that 😂
@kerimbeyy7609 Yeah, but at the beginning of the video Gyutaro hadnt said that yet, and they were taking it as a fact. When the op is playing I mean, DOT
All the explosions in this fight are from Uzui's bombs (the small circular orbs) that he's somehow throwing around with one arm. Don't know how but that's the only thing that can constantly cause explosions.
iirc its Tengen swinging his swords so fast that it causes friction in the air causing it to erupt at times
@@BenganGamer no. Its a bit of what the OP said and he also has explosive power built into his swords. The manga better clarifies this.
Some people don't get about inosuke,
As you can see, a lot of blood is coming out from his mouth. That means He was poisoned or it's not true that he changed the position of his heart, he really just tried to get up to help zenitsu.
this is even more illogical than the show, he would be instantly dead if it actually hit his heart lmfao
For me the only reasonable explanation would be that he has that condition where the heart is on the right side
@@LNunes26 yeah and if thats what they implied i would have been completly fine with that but since it wasnt what they implied theres no real reason for me to believe that tbh
@@BenganGamer he wouldn't die immediately but he would definitely suffer and he wouldn't be able to get up at all
@@BenganGamer What inosuke does will be further explained in season 4. He gave his whole explanation to Tanjiro how he did it and goes further about his sense of touch
11:45 its not added in the anime, but in the manga it is stated that Tengen’s swords are explosive and even he doesn’t know why.
The best cliffhanger yet lmao, its been a while since i watched this episode and I'm shaking from the hype. It is indeed a GREAT episode
tbh the thing with Inosuke would have been 1000% better if it were phrased like "I twisted my torso so that he'd miss my heart just in time!" rather than "Shifting the position of my internal organs is child's play for me!" because the latter makes it seem like he could put his heart in his leg or something which is absurd.
don't be that ridiculous. Being able to move your organs a few inches does not insinuate he can move it to his legs. Heck, this is even possible in real life
Every major fight in demon slayer is a banger🔥🔥
About Inosuke, much later it's explained how he knew where and when Gyotaro would strike. So, he knew to switch his organs before hand. I believe we'll see it by the end of Season 3 or beginning of Season 4. The Hashira Training Arc was only like 3 chapters and that's where it's explained. I mean, it shouldve been explained right after this fight but I guess lol
It'll be deep into season 4. Remember its explained when Tanjiro and Giyu is fighting Akaza and Tanjiro remembers in a flashback the explanation when he's trying to achieve the selfless state
what i like about this channel is that it's not like other reaction channels where just some super hyped dude watching something and jumping out of his chair after hearing that the earth is round

Movie level of animation in this episode.
About Tengen’s swords exploding, couple things to note:
1) Nichirin swords can hold sunlight, hence their effectiveness against demons. Tengen’s cleavers are MASSIVE, way bigger than any katana we’ve seen, so it makes sense that his blades can hold more sunlight than usual.
2. Tengen is the second strongest Hashira in terms of pure strength, and that says a lot when up against characters like Rengoku and Gyomei. His swinging strength is massive, and as we’ve seen in this universe, Hashiras being able to shatter wood with their bare hands is normal.
So it’s likely that Tengen’s huge swinging strength and large amount of sunlight stored in his cleavers are the reasons for him being able to create explosions with his swings.
Those blasts were coming from tengens sword he uses sound breathing thats their way of showing sound breathing.. those blasts were coming from his slashes just like water appears when tanjiro slashes
Not quite. A lot of the explosions were coming from his demon bombs, but his swords actually contain explosive power within them as well

what happen to inosuke surviving that stab will be explained in later season. but for the hint just like tanjiro and zinetsu inosuke also has a special ability to detect danger even if he didnt see where it came from his body will automatically react to avoid it but there is a exemption to that ability it wont work when you approach inosuke with out intention to kill or harm him just like the old lady from wisteria house she can approach inosuke from the back without noticing by inosuke

I've fall out my seat many times while watching the whole fight from Tanjiro vs Daki, to Nezuko vs Daki, to Zenitsu & Inosuke vs Daki, then Uzui vs Gyutaro, to Tanjiro vs Gyutaro..up to the final climax battle of Uzui vs Gyutaro.
It's literally a Team Battle rather than a typical 1 v 1 fight...& with many injuries taken also...unlike other Overpowered Superhuman Battles like Alter Saber vs Rider, Luffy vs Kaido, Ichigo vs Aizen, or Pain vs Naruto...& many more.
Yknow, I never really thought about it. That Gyutaro and Daki Could've been an alternative version of Tanjiro and Nezuko.

Demon slayer is underrated if anything, saying Demon slayer is basic shonen is like saying Lord of the rings is basic fantasy "it's just good vs evil man". Basic isn't bad, it can even be good, if you do the core concept perfectly then you don't need something to set you apart, others needs to set themselves apart from you. Demon slayers "basic" plot is its greatest strength. Imo episode 19 is also still better than this episode, I'd argue that that episode had the perfect balance while this one mostly borrows its impact from action animation.
its not its greatest strenght, the animation is its greatest strength genuienly and you are right basic executed good doesnt mean something is mid but season 1 was not even close to as good as some people made it out and some people just see good animation and directing and just think that means the show itself is good when this is not the case. Good animation increases the enjoyment for people on diffrent levels but saying the story being told is better because of good animation is just wrong
@@BenganGamer I am saying the quality of the product is improved by good animation, as well as the impact of the story. Same as with good acting.
Season 1 of demon slayer was tremendous, deserving of all the hype it got and more, and almost none of the criticisms.
Most criticisms are ironically shallow, reducing DS to it's action and animation, while pretending the story is bad.
But they're the ones simplifying quality to a single, nearly arbitrary aspect, namely the complexity of the story.
Not only did Demon Slayer always have an amazing story, by which I mean it had a story that was perfectly suited for the themes, messages, and concepts it was trying to convey. But every aspect of the show was done in order to get those core concepts off as effectively as possible.
DS didn't just have good animation, it had a great setting for the concept, great character designs, great music, great atmosphere, great voice acting, great cinematography, great direction, great everything. Literally the only thing it didn't have was a "complicated story", and people who don't understand what makes a story good shallowly criticized it for that.
Rewatching this episode makes me think of Garou in One punch man lol The villain has to fight a bunch of heroes by themselves.
The way the momentum moved in this reminded me or fury road
People survived the worst of injuries from gunshots or stab wounds that other people have died from many times, simply by the fact that the stab was angled just a couple of millimeters away from a lethal injury. It's all about the position, angles and type of damage. An explosive shredder bullets tears up the insides no matter what while a clean stab wound is more akin a doctor's scalpel cut. Also, contortionists have such flexibility that they can bend their bodies. Where do their organs go? Won't stretching them damage and tear them? They move them away through muscles and gravity. Sure it is only a couple of centimeters in angle but it helps a lot. Inosuke's animalistic intuition, even if late, will allow him to at least "try" to dodge by reflex.
So combine all that, accept that all these possibilities can happen at the same time, apply anime logic and then sprinkle some suspension of disbelief on top = you get Inosuke surviving.
What should technically work on paper, does not usually translate to real world when for example doctors may have the know how but not the enough of the right equipment in the field to work to their max capabilities. What we must remember is that anime always works technically on paper logic.
back when Tengen found his wife poisoned she said she had poisoned herself so she could feign death and leave the house because the sister demon already knew she was a spy
Someone else explained the quote about Inosuke from Daki, something like "he has such insane intuiton" but i really dont care about the small details in this show. I already have other shows where details and explanations matter to me but with Demon Slayer, its just a simple story with insane animation. I'm mostly in it for the animation and insane battles, but i also happen to like the way this story is interprated so thats a bonus. But for me the "I see! He stopped his heart to stop the poison so he could recover" and Inosuke shifting his heart doesnt really matter to me
Later on, most likely in season 4, their will be a flashback of Inosuke explaining to Tanjiro exactly how he did it
I respect with your opinion. This season was better from the last season even the movie. But you’re not ready for season 4. I can’t wait for that. That season was absolutely battlefields

Also his sense of touch gets further explained later and Inosuke will explain to Tanjiro exactly how he was able to shift and sense gyuatro in season 4

That is actually possible. There are people who can moce their internsl organs and even move their heart around the body in unbelievable ways.
They have said multiple times before that inosuke can move his internal organs tbf🤷🏽♂️
9:30 you really said that like in subbed version
like this episode is full of ass pulls but its so fucking good and hype i dont even really care anymore
@Doppelganger D il explain what i consider ass pulls, dislocating your limbs is a real life thing people can do but thats not the same as moving your organs but id be willing to accept that if not for the case that its implying that Inosuke can react fast enough to have time to move his heart against an enemy that is faster than Tengen.
Tengen stopping his heart is not my issue, my issue is him starting it up again since stopping your heart means preventing your muscles from receiving oxygen and the ability to function meaning he would have no way of starting it again since no one clearly helped him with it.
Tanjiros mark i have no issues with im just waiting for the inevtiable reveal of something i dont know yet.
I dont consider Zenitsu not waking up plot armor however i find Zenitsu as a character annoying and i dislike him as a character but thats besides the point.
I find it highly unbelieveable that someone would refrain from using their ultimate move which can be used twice this late into the fight since if he had used it on Daki from the start and ran away with her head its plausible that Gyutaro wouldnt have been able to catch up to him like he did with Inosuke resulting in Tengen, Inosuke and Tanjiro could all jump Gyutaro and maybe Nezuko depending on how the situation unfolded. So rather than an ass pull i think him using his ultimate at the last possible moment is just an example of a author writing himself a little bit into a corner and had to make something up on the spot.
And again i never called it plot armor because i dont think any of these moments are a good example of plot armor and rather *AS I SAID FROM THE BEGINNING* ass pulls.
@@BenganGamer So the each of the trio has a sense, Tanjiro has his smell, Zen has his hearing, and Inosuke has awarness. We see that during the spider arc were he finds the mother spider controlling the puppets. So its instinct that made him shifted his organs when he sense an attack coming (im sure he only shifts his organs a couple cm and not inches) that team attack him and zen did was his last push before dying. I would call this an asspull if he was somewhat fine after the fight but hes not, the next episode you see him on the brink of death until nezuko burns the posion away.
Tengen stopping and starting his heart was so he could finish his musical technique but yeah thats just anime being anime.
Zen not using his ulitmate move until now is understandable because it saps the strenght from his legs, and the author most likely wanted to showcase it, its not as cool if he uses it to escape the battle with dakis head, though if he used it from the start and it didnt cut dakis head then hed just be in the way. He waited for the best opportunity, You could say that it's a character reason as the why Zen chooses to use Godlike Speed when he did
