When I analysed this song I interpreted the song an an analogy of social media and not LA, I could be wrong but I think the lyrics fit the description of social media better than LA. Also it links into Dax's trilogy "Joker" which deals with cyber bullying and mental health.

I moved from San Diego to Phoenix will be 2 years this March. San Diego is starting to become L.A. version 2. All out of towners, costs sky rocketing, no longer the friendliest big city around down there either. The other issue, though, is that Phoenix is growing as mentioned. It is starting to drive up costs and rents here too. It's a crazy thing that none of us will be able to escape too long. At least I moved here for family.

I feel like everyone who gets tired of city's like LA just need to move to the midwest. I have a good friend whose a rapper, he moved from New York to LA and then to Iowa and he's been loving it there. I personally feel like being near the country and just a lot of wide open space makes people feel free. I live in st louis and but I love just being able to drive an hour or so and being able to do fun stuff like off roading and swimming in lakes and ponds and stuff. Just something about it make me feel free. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who does.
