I did porting on my own slant six build just a few months ago. Even a 'light' port requires many hours of precise grinding. It looks like you cleaned up this one very nicely compared to any factory casting. We will have to trade notes some day on our results. I can see how you could expand flow on the top side by removing more of the build up to the valve guide, (lots of thickness to safely remove, but difficult to reach). Anybody who hasn't done it, can't quite realize how much work is really involved. Great work.
My brother had a Plymouth Duster with a slant 6. It was a great reliable car but man was it gutless. My two brothers passed it back and forth for several years and finally sold it.
We took it for a drive in the mountains one time on a dirt road. At one point we decided to turn around and head back and had to do a 5 point turn in the road to get going the other way. After we turned around we got out to pee, I looked down on the ground and saw a perfect star drawn in the dirt with some kind of liquid.
We smelled gas and realized the gas tank had been hit with a rock and punctured a small hole in it which is what had drawn the star when we turned around.
We hi tailed it outta there and stopped at an old service station for help. An old guy come out and put a screw with a rubber washer in the hole to plug it. It was still in there when we sold the car.

For sure . wish I could have brought the plymouth and or my truck to Mokan but hopefully next year God willing 😎
What cam do you plan on putting in?
And what overall CR do you have in mind for this motor?
Keeping stock cam but the reason I'm doing all this work to the engine is because 1 even though I went in on a partnership with my mom for the car its actually hers and want to make sure it runs well for her and 2 to get the most out of the engine especially with todays highway and interstate speeds . I'll also be modifying the stock exhaust for better flow. if I can buy the set of good used slant6 headers off the guy up the street they will be going on the dart and the high flow single exhaust that's on it now will go on the valiant . stay tunned and thanks for checking out my channel/ content
